The Meadows at Firefly Farm Preserve is a 150 acre wedding, elopement, and event venue in the heart of Raleigh, North Carolina. Blending southern elegance, rolling meadows, and mature forests, the space is suited for couples telling their adventurous, timeless, and free-spirited love stories! Nestled in dense pines, Heron Hall is a seamless experience of indoor and alfresco spaces for grand affairs or intimate celebrations; the venue offers quietude and retreat for gatherings of every size!
Facilities And Capacity
The Meadows at Firefly Farm Preserve can accommodate a maximum capacity of 1,000 guests. Heron Hall is a seamless combination of both indoors and outdoors, perfect for a wedding reception. The venue has preserved the property’s history, and restored Heron Hall from the farm’s original warehouse and grain silo. The amazing oversize glass roll-up doors are ideal for gazing out over the 115 acre prairie preserve. Take pictures under the green roof trellis or on the inner courtyard. Guests will enjoy the evening under lofted ceilings or a covered arbor. Heron Hall can seat 275 guest inside or up to 350 when including the 4 seasons covered patio which comes equipped with electric heaters and fans. The Aerie House is where the bride and the bridal party will prepare before you say “I do.” The Aerie House holds an open hearth, Venetian style glass chandeliers, kitchen, living-dining rooms, and a bridal suite fit for a queen. The Roost is where the groom will get ready. It’s a ranch style retreat with two bedrooms, guest room, dressing room, kitchen, fireplace, flat screens, bar, poker, ping pong, and a dedicated beer fridge.

The Meadows at Firefly Farm Preserve is happy to host bridal showers, engagement parties, elopements, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, and receptions. Wedding packages include a venue representative, reclaimed furniture, tables, and chairs. This venue requires pre-approval of vendors. Weekend weddings include rehearsal dinner space, early arrival, late checkout, lodging for 18+, lodging for traveling family, picnics and brunches, and additional time for deliveries and photography sessions.

Where do I start? The Meadows is an amazing venue with so much to offer. We love planning weddings here and the owners are a dream to work with. We feel a sense of peace the moment we drive on site and it only gets better from there - over 100 acres, 4 ceremony/reception sites, furniture, outdoor patio space, indoor/outdoor bar, 2 beautiful houses for the bridal party and family, and so much more. This team and venue provides a professional and unique experience to all who visit and we are thankful to work with them. We could go on forever, but long story short, we are huge fans and supporters!
The Meadows is such a fun venue and a photographer's dream! Everywhere you look on the property there's a beautiful photo to be made. The main house has wonderful light for the bride to get ready, the groom's house has awesome color, and the main reception area is one of the most unique looking spaces around. Then there are the grounds. The "meadows" themselves are GORGEOUS whether they're green, golden, or covered in snow. Of course, how pretty the venue is wouldn't really matter if weren't managed well, but the team at The Meadows is AMAZING. They are all so kind and go out of their way to make sure everyone is having a great time. I LOVE photographing here!! Give me more Meadows at Firefly Farm weddings please!! The Meadows at Firefly Farm Preserve is a stunning and unique wedding venue! You'll never find the combination of things that they have onsite from the vast expanse of land (over 100 acres) located just outside of downtown Raleigh to a house just for the bride's entourage and a house just for the groom's party and then two wedding building in addition to those. Add in lots of unique styling, tons of amazing photo spots and great help from the staff and you have a venue that is going to be a hot spot for local clients for years to come!
