Claudia's Bake Shop is an artisan and custom wedding cake bakery based in the charming Carytown neighborhood of Richmond, Virginia, dedicated to bringing the "taste of home" to special events throughout the local area. Owner Claudia has been baking professionally for over 35 years and trained under renowned pastry chef Jacques Torres, though for her children, her home-baked creations were always their favorite! Every milestone, weekend trip home, or fun experience was celebrated with baked goods. Opening Claudia's Bake Shop in 2022 allowed Claudia to become a part of even more families' most precious memories, celebrating life with cake.

Services Offered

All of Claudia's baked items are prepared in-house using fresh, dairy-kosher ingredients. From tasty pastries to beautifully designed cakes, there are no limits to this bakery's creativity. Claudia understands that every couple has a unique vision for their wedding desserts, so listening to client's ideas is really important to her. She also offers tasting sessions to help couples find their perfect cake flavor! Every custom order has a six-week turnaround, giving Claudia plenty of time to transform an idea into a visual masterpiece to be enjoyed and admired by all.

Claudia's Bake Shop can accommodate any cake size, design aesthetic, and flavor combination, and will offer professional insight and feedback throughout the process. (Buttercream, outside, on a 90-degree day? Let's think through those logistics!) In addition, you can order a wide variety of pastries to accompany your cake as favors, late-night snacks, or for brunch the following morning.

Describe your perfect wedding cake to the Claudia's Bake Shop team via an order form. From there, Claudia will contact you to learn more and set up a tasting if you'd like. Along the way, Claudia will remain in contact to ensure that all of your needs are met and arrange your cake delivery for the big day.
