We absolutely loved working with Carrie for our wedding! The tasting was such a fun experience and everything was so delicious that it made choosing just a few flavors nearly impossible. We ended up going with a cake and three types of cupcakes (“his,” “hers,” and “ours”), and they were all a huge hit! Our guests are still talking about how good they were. Everything looked beautiful, tasted amazing, and working with Carrie was amazing from start to finish. Could not recommend her more!

As soon as we sat down with Carrie, we knew we'd be getting exactly what we wanted. She made us feel right at home while clearly showing she was a professional. All her flavors were delicious, we wish we could married every year just to eat her cakes.

She was flexible and willing to go above and beyond for us on our special day. The cake was absolutely gorgeous, and we cannot wait to unfreeze the rest. Thank you so much Carrie. You will hold a special place in our hearts forever!

Carrie is such a sweet lady. Working with her was so much fun! She's really reasonably priced - she could charge way more for her cakes, but she doesn't. She made the tasting process easy - shipped the flavors to us so we didn't have to drive all the way down to southern VA from Annapolis. We did two other cake tastings with other companies and hers was hands-down the best, AND most affordable. She sat down with me and helped me sort everything out, from flavors, to cake amount, to colors, and frosting vs, fondant. I designed the cake, and she recreated that design perfectly! Our cake was STUNNING. She also set up the cake flowers and toppers on-site and the result was gorgeous. She had the idea to have cookies as guest favors, and so she also brought and set out variety of beautifully decorated sugar cookies. Some had blue and purple galaxies on them and others had constellations (our theme was night sky). They were beautiful and delicious, and we got so many comments on them. Everyone who was on-site had something wonderful to say about her when I asked - I wish I'd been able to talk to her in person when she came by, but I was off getting ready. You cannot go wrong hiring Carrie for your event!

Carrie is wonderful to work with - she took our ideas and came up with exactly what we were looking for. She was able to accommodate our need for gluten-free cupcakes as well, which was super helpful. Delicious cake!

Buttercream Dreams did an amazing job on our cake! Carrie made the tasting experience special and gave us exactly what we were asking for on our wedding day.

We ordered our wedding cake, cupcakes, and a surprise birthday cake for my now husband through Buttercream Dreams and everything was perfect! Our tasting was by far, the most fun part of the entire wedding planning process and we had lots of favorite flavor combinations, it was difficult to narrow down choices but Carrie helped with that as well. We ended up going with a dark chocolate cutting cake with peanut butter buttercream frosting for our wedding cake, snickerdoodle cupcakes (which our guests devoured), dark chocolate cupcakes, and almond cupcakes with almond buttercream frosting. Everything was delicious and Carrie was so helpful with advice on the color of our cake (which was a rich, emerald green) and helping me surprise my now husband with his birthday cake which he loved and was thrilled to have his own cake. She worked great with our other vendors and we found her very reasonably priced as well. Highly recommend her for any baked goods in any future events.

I got married October 1, 2022 and am so grateful that I was able to work with Carrie from Buttercream Dreams to create a beautiful and delicious cake for my day! Carrie was amazing to work with throughout the entire planning time and was responsive and open to my thoughts and questions. She was able to help combine several ideas I had found online into exactly what I was envisioning, and had SO many traditional and unique flavors to pick from. I was planning my wedding from out of state, and Carrie was even able to ship us some of her most popular cake options, with frosting, for us to do our tasting without having to drive all the way to meet with her! The flavors we ended up picking were absolutely perfect (we got to have 2 flavors, for no extra charge), and all of our guests loved the options. Carrie is a wonderful, local VA vendor who offers great prices and even better service! You can't go wrong working with her. Carrie was a literal dream to work with! She was super responsive, flexible, honest, organized, kind and overall fantastic. From our very first interaction with her to the very last crumb of our cake/cupcakes, Carrie made our wedding dreams come true! Our cake and cupcakes were absolutely beautiful, and they were hands down the most delicious we have eaten. It was one of the most complimented items from our wedding. We cannot wait to eat our frozen tier of our cake for our anniversary! Her assistant did a fantastic job setting up as well. As far as value for her services, she does not charge nearly enough in our opinion. We will be using Carrier again for other occasions and celebrations.
