Wedding Cakes in Charlottesville

We worked with Albemarle baking company twice: for our micro-wedding and for the larger celebration event a year later. This bakery provided beautiful and delicious cakes; we have received many compliments on them since the events, some going so far as to say that “it was the best wedding cake we’ve had.” We loved that the bakery provided non-traditional options for the exterior of the cake---we chose marzipan layered over buttercream, a delicious alternative to normal thick buttercream or fondant. The cake arrived on time to our venue, and made its way to the florals / staging area and kitchen without incident or us having to worry about coordination. We highly recommend Albemarle Baking Company for your event, and particularly recommend that you try the chocolate and praline cake.

Working with Anita to design our wedding cake was a dream! The final product was incredibly delicious and beautiful. Her eye for design and suggestions really elevated our vision to make a spectacular cake. She's organized and dedicated to making a gorgeous final product. Plus, doing the tasting box was one of our most fun wedding planning tasks (!!!!) - a huge box of cake flavors and frostings. The only hard part was deciding which delicious flavors to go with.

I’ve been told that not as many brides choose Chandler’s for their wedding cake vendor because they don’t have an online order system, but if you’re local to Charlottesville, I highly recommend them for their wedding cakes! We went in person to chat with an employee, who was incredibly helpful, efficient, and fairly priced. We showed an inspiration photo and received plenty of tasting options, and we couldn’t be happier with the result!

We got married on June 25, 2022 and Paradox made our wedding cake as well as a bunch of mini desserts for a dessert bar. Not only was everything delicious, but they delivered everything and set up the dessert bar so gorgeously! Our photographer said it looked like something out of a movie! We had a small cake for cutting to go along with our dessert bar and our guests loved the cake so much it was gone in the blink of an eye (my husband and I barely got any!). We've decided we'll have to go back to Paradox the next time we're in Charlottesville and order the same type of cake so we can actually experience how good it is!

The wedding cake was delicious and Melinda was very helpful and listened to what I wanted. I was thrilled to know that I would get to eat my own GF wedding cake and that the best man wouldn't go to the hospital because of his severe nut allergy. I had lemon cupcakes with raspberry filling and lemon buttercream frosting-- they were to DIE for!

Paris made my textured buttercream cake vision come to life! During the tasting, I asked her for help choosing between two flavors, and she said, “why not both?” and for a couple making so many little and big decisions for a wedding, that is exactly the energy we needed haha. Guests raved about the cake and there wasn’t a piece left at the end of the night!

Working with Tiffany for our wedding cake was a dream from start to finish! She made everything extremely easy for us and so seamless. She even hand delivered cake samples for us to try as we weren't able to visit her studio in person. Our wedding cake was spectacular, perfectly fit our aesthetic, and was even more delicious than the sample we had tried! We loved our cake, as did our wedding guests. Highly recommend working with Tiffany if you're looking for the perfect wedding cake!

We ordered cake tiles for our recent wedding. We had chocolate, funfetti, lemon, and carrot cake tiles. They were delicious and a super fun alternative to a large cake. I would definitely recommend Cake Bloom!
