AMAZING!!! From the very first visit, we knew Soldiers & Sailors was the perfect venue for us. Amber and her incredible team were truly the cherry on top of this gorgeous space. Communication was seamless, planning felt effortless, and every single person we met at Soldiers & Sailors was an absolute joy to work with. Amber (and her team) have such a gift for what they do — she truly thinks of every detail and goes above and beyond to make your day perfect. One thing that really stood out to us, and something you won’t find at every venue, is the remarkable attention to detail and all the behind-the-scenes magic that happens without you even realizing it. We truly can’t say enough wonderful things! Thank you, thank you to the entire Soldiers & Sailors team — our day was an absolute dream, and that’s in huge part thanks to you!

Kelly Mahoney was amazing to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process! We booked our wedding venue at Bartram's Garden about 14 months in advance of our wedding date and probably sent hundreds of emails between the two of us in that time frame. Kelly was always prompt, organized, and very easy to work with! Pricing was transparent and even though there are a lot of optional add-ons, we didn't feel that cost wise there were any surprises. For our day of, Saayid and Ms. D were amazing with getting us everything we needed. They helped us to assemble our seating chart and were constantly checking in to make sure we were taken care of, had drinks, and were eating enough. They even drove the golf cart for us from the reception tent to the bridal suite for me to change dresses so I didn't have to walk the grounds in my heels! I could not recommend the JH team enough. We were also very fortunate the weather for our late spring wedding day was 70 degrees and partly sunny. The city and gardens backdrop really felt like you were in the lush countryside, not still in the city. We really wanted an outdoor ceremony space with greenery that was also conveniently located in Philadelphia for our guests, so Bartram's was the perfect venue that checked both of those boxes! The only two small things that I think could have gone better with the day were the ceremony seating and the making of our signature drinks. We were recommended to have an extra row of seats for the ceremony for the number of guests we had attending, but I wish the coordinators had asked all of our guests to move up and sit in the front most rows. I think the 3rd or 4th row of our ceremony was entirely empty, which doesn't look best for photos. In addition, we made two different infused syrups for our signature drinks ahead of time and I provided copies of the laminated recipes for the bartenders. For the amount of alcohol consumed as components of our signature drinks, I don't think the bartenders were consistently mixing in the syrups because we had way too much syrup leftover at the end of the night. One of our guests who is a professional mixologist said for the first signature drink he ordered it definitely tasted like there was no syrup or sweetener added, but the second signature drink he ordered tasted much better. All in all, these are small things to have go wrong at your wedding and I would still choose Bartram's Garden and the JH team if we were to do it all over again!

Amanda & team took care of just about anything that needed to be handled, scheduled and executed. The property and the amenities are second-to-none and was the perfect location and the best day of our lives. Dinner in the barn was awesome, the setting was beautiful and the whole day was picture perfect. Amanda was definitely our biggest hero that day making sure everything fell into place and not one snafu. We were very blessed with our experience at Historic Rock Ford.

My wife and I had our wedding here on April 10th. We had been in communication with Lisa of Appleford for a little over a year prior. Lisa was incredibly helpful through the entire process leading up to the wedding, as well as during the wedding. It is clear that she cares not only for the venue, but also for the guests and married couple. We couldn't have been happier with her help. The venue speaks for itself. One look at the boxwood gardens and we were in love. The venue is stunning inside and outside, and the newly completed rose garden is a wonderful addition to the grounds. Over and over we had heard from guests how beautiful the venue is, it felt like a fairy tale. The venue is classy, classic, nature oriented, and stunning, it will leave your guests with lasting memories. Don't hesitate, you're in great hands!

Morris Arboretum was an amazing and beautiful wedding venue. They worked with us every step of the way to make our day as special as possible. Luckily, we experienced great weather, but if we did not, they were ready to go with a back up plan. The Rose Garden was so beautiful for the ceremony and Out on a Limb was perfect for cocktail hour. We highly recommend using them as a venue. So amazing!!! Thank you Morris!

We had the pleasure of having our wedding at Pittsburgh's Grand Hall at The Priory in March 2023. Since many of our guests traveled from out-of-town for the wedding, we also utilized all of the rooms at the adjacent Priory Hotel for the weekend. We are beyond thrilled with how everything turned out and would highly recommend hosting a wedding or any other special event at this venue. As a special event venue, the Grand Hall at the Priory is truly one-of-a-kind – with history, charm, and beautiful details unseen in other venues like stained glass windows and an overlook choir loft. When you combine that with the modern touches – spectacular food, valet parking, full-service packages reasonably priced, hotel on-site – it’s hard to find another venue in Pittsburgh that can compete in our opinion. In addition, we were especially dazzled by the outstanding service we received throughout the planning process, at the Grand Hall on the day of our wedding, and the Priory Hotel itself. Courtney (Director of Events & Catering Sales), Jennifer (Event Manager), and Luciano (Guest Services Manager) are absolute pros and everyone that we came into contact with was extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating (Nicole and Logan at the hotel front desk, Janet at our wedding, everyone really). If you are looking for a great wedding experience that will “wow” your guests (ours are still talking about how great everything was and how unique the Priory is), we would encourage you to consider this venue.

I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Knowlton Mansion and Conroy Catering. From my first tour through our actual wedding day, they were incredible. Knowlton itself is SO beautiful. It was important to me to find a venue that felt like an experience, where guests could wander around, explore different spaces, go outside, and take everything in rather than spending the entire night in one ballroom. Knowlton was exactly that. The mansion and grounds have so much character that you really don't need a ton of decor because the venue speaks for itself. We had our ceremony outside, moved indoors afterward, had the fire pits going outside, and added the secret wine cellar that opened during the reception, which was SUCH a fun surprise. Our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the venue was and how much they loved all the different spaces. I also loved how much freedom we had to make the wedding feel like US. Knowlton provides so many amazing vendors, but we brought in some of our own as well, and they embraced everything. We literally had a tattoo artist tattooing guests during the reception and, at one point, a full-blown mosh pit to Rage Against the Machine haha, while still having all the traditional wedding moments we wanted. Nothing ever felt cookie-cutter or like we had to fit into their idea of what a wedding should be. They just moved with us and helped make it happen. Conroy Catering was also wonderful. Our guests RAVED about the hors d'oeuvres, and every single one we chose was a hit. They also accommodated two signature cocktails that were a little more involved than their standard offerings, and they turned out amazing. And the STAFF!! Cara gave me my initial tour and immediately made me feel so welcome. Eileen worked with me throughout basically the entire year of planning and was an absolute lifesaver. She was informative, organized, kept track of all my notes, and made the entire process so much easier. Then Rebecca was our coordinator on the actual wedding day and was AMAZING. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I could hand everything over to her and actually enjoy my wedding. All three were exceptionally kind, organized, and made me feel genuinely special and cared for. Our bridal attendant and waitstaff were incredible too, even making sure I actually got to eat some of our hors d'oeuvres throughout the night! Finally, the VALUE is incredible. Weddings get unbelievably expensive so quickly, and Knowlton's packages include so much for a very reasonable price. Between the gorgeous venue, catering, open bar, staff, coordination, and everything else included, we were able to have a wedding that felt grand and beautiful without the enormous price tag I saw at so many other venues. Our wedding was beautiful, unique, fun, personal, and completely US, and Knowlton embraced every bit of it. Our guests loved it, WE loved it, and I would choose Knowlton Mansion again in a heartbeat!!

Megan and Melissa are absolute rock stars!! We switched venues about 45 days before our wedding and they worked so hard for us! I like to say they helped us plan 3.5 weddings because of the constant changes made with COVID restrictions. They were kind, caring, hard-working, detail- oriented and efficient. They knew what to do, when to do it and how to do it! We could not be more thankful to the two of them for helping our day go off without a hitch!! We had the most perfect day and it was all thanks to them!!
