Based in Malvern, Pennsylvania, Philander Chase Knox Estate is a historic wedding venue in the greater Philadelphia region. Because it is nestled in Valley Forge National Historical Park, the rustic wedding venue offers 3,500 acres of rolling green meadows, majestic trees and colorful wildflowers. The atmosphere is elegant, unique and the epitome of a romantic oasis. Guests will be enamored by this charming and natural park venue.
Facilities and Capacity
In Valley Forge National Historical Park, the historic estate is based right over a covered bridge. The intimate wedding venue can host up to 200 guests for covered outdoor celebrations, April through October. A ceremony can be held right on the landscaped lawn, while guests can mingle on the slate patio or inside the antique rooms. The main event takes place in the gorgeous curtain lined, carpeted tent with reclaimed barn wood farm tables and walnut cross back chairs.

History
From 1777 to 1778, during the American Revolutionary War, General George Washington’s army established a military camp on the property. The estate, which was built in the late 1700s, was the summer home for Philander Chase Knox, a former U.S. Attorney General.

Incredible spring wedding at Chase Knox
From the minute we met with Leigh we felt at ease and super happy with our decision. She was so helpful, fun to work with and answered all of our questions with a smile. I must have changed my tables 10 times (sorry Leigh!!!!) and she never let it get to her. Luke was our day of coordinator and you could tell he loved what he was doing and that it was not his first rodeo. He ensured that each guest had a hot and delicious meal and that my husband and I always had a drink in our hand!
Our guests have told us that the food we served was the best wedding food they have had and that the house and atmosphere was perfection! It was truly the best day we could've imagined. Thank you so much to everyone at Chase Knox and Robert Ryan Catering!
