When we first visited Elizabeth Furnace, it was rainy, foggy day in March, but we immediately saw the beauty. How well maintain the grounds were and how perfect our wedding could be. Fast forward a year and half to December 2025 we couldn't have been happier with our decision to get married at Elizabeth Furnace. This venue was everything we hoped for and more—warm, romantic, and incredibly cozy. It was the perfect setting for a winter wedding, with an inviting atmosphere that made our day feel intimate and magical. The food from JDK was absolutely to die for and is still something our guests are raving about. The staff was truly top notch—attentive, professional, and genuinely invested in making sure every detail was perfect. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, and we received countless compliments on both the venue and the overall experience. We couldn’t imagine a better place to celebrate such a special day!

We wanted to take a few minutes to say what a phenomenal wedding day we had at the venue at Elizabeth Furnace, with the JDK Group. If you have not been out there, we highly recommend it - it is a gorgeous property!!

We had a cocktail hour in the gardens, and the ceremony was in the charcoal barn (because of weather), but it’s a super cool setting in there! And our reception with live music in the “old stables” building was perfect. Each particular spot on the grounds is as nice as the other - all very well done with modern amenities, while maintaining the historic architecture and feel of the entire place.. Our guests loved the place, everything was beyond our expectations!

Speaking of exceeding our expectations, Abby and the team at the JDK group were phenomenal. We did a small wedding and only had two months to prepare due to a significant family health issue.

So we had crazy deadlines putting things together, and Abby and the JDK team were with us every step of the way! One thing we especially loved about JDK was the quality of the catering. Absolutely phenomenal. We had a lot of wonderful comments from the guests about how much they loved the variety and the creativity of the selections we chose. The JDK chefs get all the credit on that one!

We highly recommend Abby and the JDK team, and the Elizabeth Furnace Venue. It made for an incredible experience and memorable day for all!

Our son got married at Elizabeth Furnace and we couldn't have been happier with the entire process. The buildings and grounds are immaculate, and the execution by JDK was flawless. JDK is more than an award-winning caterer. They also provided the florals, decorations, linens, glassware, table settings, bartenders and setup up/take down. The wedding was really all-inclusive -- no need to reach out and try to coordinate with multiple vendors (although you certainly can if that is your preference). This made the whole process so much less stressful for my now daughter-in-law (and all of us frankly). And the town of Lititz, with its vibrant shopping and food scene, gave our out-of-town guests plenty to do before and after the wedding.

I have been a wedding photographer in the NJ/PA/MD market for many years, and Elizabeth Furnace is a favorite venue. There are so many beautiful, diverse photography areas on the 35-acre property to choose from -- the formal gardens, the various stone buildings, the mature trees and woodlands all make for great backdrops. I always look forward to returning to Elizabeth Furnace!

Elizabeth Furnace was hands-down our first choice for a wedding venue. It truly is an oasis of beautifully-preserved colonial buildings and lush gardens surrounded by mature forests. The venue oozes history, yet provides all the required modern amenities. While we were married in the formal gardens, the plan B option of the Charcoal Barn was equally enticing. The JDK team was extremely helpful, caring and professional. Many guests raved about how good the food was. The various hotel accommodations in Lititz were very nice, and our guests enjoyed strolling, shopping and eating in this charming town that was voted "Coolest Small Town in America" in 2013.

We cannot thank JDK enough for the incredible catering service, rentals, and set up that they provided at our wedding! Andrea was the perfect coordinator for us, laying out all of our options and helping us make the best decisions possible for a perfect environment. The food was absolutely phenomenal—our guests raved about it repeatedly and so far has been the best food we have had at any wedding we attended. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. The staff was extremely attentive and caring, helping our guests with anything they needed. They stationed a staff member specifically for us to make sure we had drinks and food whenever we needed them and one staff member even removed her own earring back to lend to the mother of the bride when she lost one of hers. We could not have had a better catering and planning staff at our wedding.

Our wedding on November 1 was everything we could have asked for! The venue is beautiful and very well cared for. The staff is wonderful and were very attentive to my Husband and I. They were so helpful in setting up all of the decor, signage, and items we brought along with us.

We worked with Andrea at JDK and loved her. She was super helpful in making adjustments leading up to the event, and in checking in on us and helping make sure the day ran smoothly!

All of the staff was wonderful, from handing out welcome drinks to serving during cocktail hour and making sure our plated dinners came out quickly. All of the food was delicious and the extra meals, desserts, and food packed up at the end of the night was wonderful to have!

We are so glad we chose Elizabeth Furnace for our wedding and hope that JDK will host future events there so we can go back and enjoy it again!

As the parents of the bride, we would like to take this opportunity to share our experiences with the venue Elizabeth Furnace and their catering service the JDK Group.

Elizabeth Furnace was a wonderful historical site that has been transformed into an event/ wedding venue that was chosen for our daughter’s wedding. The property is set up for indoor as well as outdoor activities to meet your needs. Our daughter’s wedding used the indoor Charcoal Barn with its unique stone/woodwork as the ceremony room. A cocktail hour was held in the garden area where guests mingled until dinner was served. Dinner was served in the converted stables which were uniquely transformed to a reception hall. It was obvious the owner was patient, took his time, and used vision to the property to mix history with modern needs.

The JDK Group was chosen by the property owner to assist groups with planning their event. We were contacted by an event coordinator who assisted our daughter and son-in-law with food selections, table decorations/place settings, flower arrangements, guest list spreadsheet, and a timeline schedule. The coordinator was on site for the wedding to ensure the schedule went smoothly. This service was invaluable as far as making a lot of the wedding planning much easier and less stressful.

On the wedding day, the JDK team was superb with set-up in the ceremony room, garden area, and reception room. The JDK team was friendly and attentive to the needs of guests and the wedding party demonstrating their high level of customer service. Many guests complimented the food that was served. The quality and taste of our selections was noticed and feedback by family and guests stated it was delicious and the best wedding meal they ever experienced. This team worked with precision allowing us to relax and enjoy this celebration.

Our families and guests thank Elizabeth Furnace and the JDK Group for a most memorable evening and would highly recommend this venue for special events and weddings.

Elizabeth Furnace is a spectacular wedding venue! A historic property that has been beautifully restored and maintained, it offers multiple gorgeous spaces that will make your wedding unique no matter what time of year or what the weather.

We had planned a May wedding, having visited and seen the lovely gardens in bloom. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to change the date to November. And it was still beautiful. We had our ceremony in the tiered garden behind the historic house. The garden is surrounded by an old stone wall and a wing of the house that is topped by a bell tower. When our vows were completed, the bell was rung to announce the the happy news. The garden is also perfect for cocktails (there’s a bar built into the stone wing, right below the bell tower) and lawn games. We had a small wedding, and the weather was warm, so we ate out in the garden as well. The stone walls were illuminated all around us, and we added some string lights over the table. It was magical. (An old stone outhouse has even been converted into two modern restrooms.)

Had it rained or been cold, we could have chosen from two great options. The stables of the property have been converted into a first-class wedding space. There’s a kitchen for the caterer, a modern dressing room for the bride with all the mirrors and comforts one could want. The smooth concrete floor is perfect for dancing, and the space, with its exposed stone walls, is lovely.

The Charcoal Barn (the property was an iron furnace that produced munitions for the Revolutionary War) is a more rustic space, but also beautiful. We would have happily used it for our ceremony.

Our guests loved exploring the historic property which offers many features that made for great photo opportunities.

EF was as perfect as any wedding could ever host. The guest were happy, the service, food and grounds were amazing. Everything was on time and stress free. It was seamless service in a beautiful setting. JDK staff pulled off a day of a life time. A spacious venue but with a cozy feel. Plus the luck of good weather, what more can you ask for?
