Originally when I saw the inn I wasn’t sold, it’s slightly dated (but charming) and would be a bit far for friends and family (we live in Boston and family all over) but their responsiveness and flexibility sold us. They were so nice and so accommodating the entire way. We loved that people could stay on site ( but no minimum night stay requirement) or could stay at b&b or Airbnb in town. The activities like the pool and golf were great too. Everything, including the weather was perfect. We did a tented wedding which I loved, I didn’t like that cocktail hour was near the parking lot, but in the end it really didn’t matter. The food was excellent, they let us really chose anything we wanted and made it happen. They made the signature cocktails just like we requested and they were so delicious. Everyone on site was so incredibly friendly from bar tenders to servers. Jonathan was an awesome day of coordinator and really made sure it was smooth and easy, the staff did all the setting up and it looked beautiful. All our guests loved the bethel inn too! During our process the inn did get bought by a larger company but we never noticed any change in our planning and process. I’m not sure if they are going to continue to have weddings under new management but if they do- I say do it! Loved it so much! We took photos at their boat house and they were so kind to prepare a canoe and clean it, our photographers were impressed!

Wow! An online review can hardly do justice to the incredible experience my wife and I had hosting our wedding at the Black Point Inn. Sam, our wedding coordinator, was amazing to work with, was very responsive to all of our questions, and made sure everything about the weekend was perfect. The entire staff was also so kind and professional throughout the weekend and went above and beyond to move our ceremony indoors when it started to rain just an hour before it was supposed to start. We also hosted our rehearsal dinner at the inn the night before and all of our guest raved about the food, atmosphere, and cozy interior throughout the weekend. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and I would highly recommend the Black Point Inn to anyone who is considering hosting their wedding here. PS - The scenic cliff walk located behind the inn was also a highlight for us and all of our guests and is an added bonus to everything described above.

The Hilton Garden Inn is a dream place to get married! I can’t say enough good things about it! First- it’s beautiful. The outdoor space was perfect to get married outside in, the ballroom is amazing. The windows overlooking the patio and river make beautiful scenery and natural light for your event. The staff is absolutely amazing! We worked closely with Jackie Berry to make all of our plans a reality. Matt Shaw helped us set up room blocks for our party, and the entire event day staff were great. They ensured everything went smoothly for our wedding. They also went above and beyond with simple little things that made our day that much more special. Whether it was a hand written note, champagne, or cheesecake in our room- it was amazing. I highly recommend this place! It is a great deal for everything involved, and an amazing place to get married in Maine!

It was truly storybook perfect - such a gorgeous setting and accommodating staff, and the food was fabulous.

All aspects of the day were perfect, from the controllable ones like food, venue cleanliness, service to the uncontrollable ones like weather, humidity, etc....

The Marriott at Sable Oaks, Located in South Portland, Maine was an outstanding venue for my daughter's wedding. We had looked at approx. 8 venues in the past yr, and we cam full circle back to the Marriott. The wedding coordinator and her staff met every need we had asked for and went above and beyond for the day's event. Many guests were pleased and more during social hour and the plentiful hot appetizers and drinks that were served. Our Bridal Party was treated to basically 1 on 1 service in our room before entering the reception with a plentiful amount of social hours hor' derves, cocktails and more. Meg, the Wedding Coordinator was top notch and made sure all of our details were in place. The Ballroom for the reception was beautiful! A day we shall not forget!

We recently had our wedding at the Westin on February 20th in the junior ballroom. Laura Lavigne was our wedding coordinator, she is so sweet, professional, and accommodating planner I had the pleasure of working with. She helped make our wedding vision come to life along with making sure everything went smoothly. All of the staff at the hotel, along with the food, and accommodations made our day so perfect, EVEN during a pandemic! If you are looking for a beautiful venue with friendly staff, amazing food, bar services, and reasonably priced, in gorgeous downtown Portland Maine, THIS is the place for you! You will not be disappointed! Looking back, I would choose this venue over and over!

Inn by the Sea is the most beautiful place to get married. My husband and I had a lovely time working with Hana and Caitlin planning our dream September wedding. Every detail I envisioned, Hana made it happen. I felt so relaxed on my wedding day because everything was being taken care of by Hana and the team. Wedding planning can be a stressful, long process but working with Hana through it all made it enjoyable. From coordinating vendors to selecting rental items Hana had it all under control. Don’t even get me started on the food, it was AMAZING. Chef did a fabulous job preparing our meal selections and hors d’oeuvres. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and make you want to stay for months on end! Everyone is just so friendly and accommodating at Inn by the Sea. If you’re looking for a stress free, coastal, elegant venue then this is your place. Thank you again Hana and Caitlin. We will never forget our day!

We got married at The Viewpoint in October 2025, and it was a dream come true! We did the wedding destination package, and it was perfect! It was so nice to have the whole property for just our friends and family all weekend. Camryn was an amazing support and guide for us throughout the whole process, and she really made sure our vision for our wedding was executed smoothly. We are so grateful to the whole Viewpoint team for giving us such an amazing weekend!

Having my wedding at the Samoset was a dream. I wanted everyone to be able to stay on site, and have all weekend activities on site as well. From the rehearsal dinner outside under the tent, to the welcome party at the clubhouse to the ceremony by the breakwater and reception back under the tent.... the entire weekend was such a dream. I even had a torrential HAIL storm mid ceremony, no covering, and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Linde was ON POINT, she is blunt and extremely detail oriented and that is exactly what you need in a wedding planner. The actual hotel itself is top notch— resort style pool, stunning golf course, renovated rooms... could not recommend this place more. Food was amazing as well!! Lobster all weekend. You’ll have the wedding of your dreams! Worth every penny.
