The Breakwater is a beautiful venue and we are so glad we chose to have our wedding there! It was so nice having our whole wedding party and family able to stay at the inn and be on site for the whole weekend with us. We held a welcome drink event on Friday and ceremony and reception on the lawn on Saturday and everything ran smoothly. We were worried about the possibility of rain the week before and the coordinator did a nice job showing us the rain plan if needed and calming our worries. The wedding cottage was a beautiful place to stay and was a good place for the bridesmaids and me to get ready on the wedding day. We had the best time and we are so thankful the Breakwater made our wedding weekend perfect.

We knew from the moment we got engaged that Bayside Bowl was the perfect venue for us and our wedding day confirmed that. Communications leading up to the big day were clear and helped us stay organized. The day itself flowed smoothly and was so much fun! All of our guests commented on how delicious the food was and how much fun they had. If you're looking for laid back, fun wedding with great food and great craft beer, Bayside Bowl is the perfect venue.

Camp Caribou prides themselves on “unforgettable summers” and as soon as you set foot on the property it’s easy to see why. Sitting on a 200 acre peninsula overlooking Pattee pond is haven for 7+ boys, offering every land and water sport they could dream of, a mini replica of Fenway Park, and the most fun group of camp leaders and counselors they could ever ask for. If you’re lucky enough to secure a date with Camp Caribou during their offseason then you’ve just signed yourself up for an UNFORGETTABLE Wedding! Here’s why: The attention to detail is UNMATCHED. The camp directors, Alex and Lori, care so much about you and your guests having a good time and they are SO easy to work with. Having gotten married there themselves you can trust me when I say that any recommendation they give you is the right choice. The food is incredible, full stop. We had a lobster dinner on Friday night, Steak/Mashed/Veggies for the day of the wedding and everything was cooked to perfection. We assumed the food would be decent but also knew we were having a camp wedding so didn’t expect to be blown away (or have multiple guests RAVE about their dinners). They fed us Saturday breakfast, lunch and even brunch on Sunday (Chef Lori turned our Friday night lobster into the best lobster salad I have EVER had) The kitchen staff makes breakfast, lunch and dinner for 250+ every day during camp so they have the experience and equipment to churn out high quality meals for you and your guests. The bunks are brand new! If you’re looking for a rustic experience but also want your guests to be comfortable, then these bunks check all the boxes. Each sleeps around 14 people, has an outlet at each bed, 2 toilets and 2 showers in each. Our guests loved the experience of sleep away camp and being together just added to the whole weekend vibe. Caribou truly gives your guests the full camp experience. Tug of war, volleyball, hockey, and canoeing during the day; We had a huge bonfire on Friday night, complete with Alex and Bobby leading campfire cheers and songs. So many guests told us that it was one of the highlights of the whole weekend, triggering nostalgia for those that went to summer camp themselves. Hotel/Salon options are great in Waterville. Our hotel guests stayed at the Hampton Inn in town, but the brand new Lockwood Hotel offers luxury rooms for those that want a little more privacy than a bunk at camp. We had multiple shuttles running to and from camp so people could always feel like they could be where the action was. We went to Apollo Salon and Spa for hair and makeup who did an fantastic job transforming all our girls for the big day. They only use high quality Aveda products so you’re not getting dreaded that caked on look we all know and love. Proximity to stuff. Obviously we had no less than 5 last minute runs to Walmart/Hobby Lobby and the liquor store (although Damon’s in town delivered everything to camp for us on Friday morning which was AWESOME). having everything that Waterville has to offer within 15 minutes reach and still feeling secluded from the world at camp was a PERFECT combination for us. Camp has the ability to pivot. No wedding goes off without a hitch. The morning before our wedding, our bartender cancelled last minute . Alex called every bartender he knew in town to find us an amazing last minute replacement and the show went on without anyone knowing there was ever an issue. Camp weddings aren’t for everyone, but if you’re a chill couple that is looking to spend a really fun weekend with friends and family then I cannot recommend Camp Caribou enough! Thank you Lerman/Rotman family for helping us throw the BEST party ever!

We had our wedding the weekend of Labor Day weekend. We loved the venue and so did our guests. It is small but perfect for a smaller group. We had 75 guests which is exactly the number we wanted. A lot of other venues that we looked at could accommodate 150+ and we wanted something smaller. The overall venue location was perfect, very close to old port Portland. I do recommend looking at the venue and their instagram to get a feel of what the overall experience will look like.
