Union Hall, an Historic Event Space Overlooking Rockport Harbor
The beautifully restored Union Hall is the perfect venue for couples dreaming of a classic New England wedding. While you admire the breathtaking views of sailboats on the picturesque Rockport Harbor, your guests will enjoy a warm coastal breeze as they stroll through one of Maine’s most charming seaside villages. Union Hall has been recently acquired by the Bay View Collection, a small group of distinctive, luxury boutique hotels in neighboring Camden, Maine whose properties include the Lord Camden Inn, Grand Harbor Inn, and 16 Bay View.
Once a gathering place for town meetings, Union Hall is now a venue for your closest friends and family to get together in celebration. Built in 1856, this historic property has a colorful history, including housing the Rockport Post Office, working as a barrel factory, and standing as a grand private residence.
Weddings & Special Events
Nestled within a quaint New England town, Union Hall is a blank canvas with a beautiful backdrop, waiting for you to transform it for your big day.
Love the idea of a modern, contemporary theme with a touch of historic charm? Hold your ceremony at the nearby Rockport Opera House and take a photographic, scenic walk through town to your reception at Union Hall. Or, perhaps a beach wedding at the Rockport Marine Park with a romantic, seaside reception is more your style. Either way, Union Hall’s harbor views and interesting history make this a unique place to get married in Maine.
In-house catering can be provided by the Bay View Collection's Executive Chef, Andrea Barbour. Andrea began a very successful career in culinary arts, working at several of Maine’s finest and most respected restaurants, with her most recent stint as Sous Chef at Long Grain in Camden for the past 3 years. Prior to that, Andrea worked as Sous Chef under Brian Hill at the award-winning Francine Bistro for more than 4 years, and before that as Pastry Chef at the Back Bay Grill in Portland. Andrea can adapt her menus to just about any preference or pallette and work with a variety of budgets.
Additionally, catering can be offered by Chef and Restauranteur, Sara Jenkins of Nina June. Born in Maine and raised in the Mediterranean, Sara’s numerous New York City restaurants include four-star Porchetta, known for its succulent pork roast typically sold in street markets in Rome and Tuscany. Her newest restaurant, Rockport’s Nina June, located in the same building as Union Hall, plays upon her Mediterranean background while incorporating Maine’s locally-grown, bountiful harvests.

Stunning venue overlooking Rockport Harbor
We had our wedding ceremony here and took family pictures afterwards. Simple and clean space with large windows that let in lots of natural light. Staff was professional and easy to work with.Sent on 08/27/2019
