Restaurant Wedding Venues in Portland

The Inn at Diamond Cove is truly a one-of-a-kind place to have a wedding. My wife and I toured many venues in the Portland area but fell in love immediately when we arrived at the wedding grounds on Diamond Island. The Island is perfectly quaint and on the quieter side. The outdoor venue has a beautiful view overlooking the water, showing off a quintessential Maine skyline. Colleen and Hannah were so incredibly helpful and very organized leading up to our big day. As for the day-of, Colleen and Hannah have everything nailed down to a science so you can rest assured everything will go well in their hands. The ceremony site was beautiful. The tent, decorations, table settings, and lighting were also impeccably done. The catering staff nailed their queues and delivered some delicious steaks and fresh fish in a lobster sauce (yum!) without any delays. Overall, we had a lovely time working with the folks at Diamond Cove and would happily recommend it to others.

From the moment we first inquired about hosting our wedding at Nonesuch River Brewing, Heather and the Nonesuch team were incredibly gracious, thorough, and friendly in their communication and planning. The quality of work and the value they provided were simply outstanding. The venue was stunning, the menu was highly customizable, and every detail was executed with precision. The staff was incredibly welcoming and adaptable, helping to make our special day run seamlessly. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding, and we highly recommend Nonesuch River Brewing to any couple looking for an exquisite, personalized, and stress-free celebration. They definitely succeeded in making our wedding the Best Day Ever !!!

I cannot say enough positive things about Lucky Cheetah!!! It has quickly become my husband and I’s favorite spot in Portland due to the incredible service, atmosphere, food, and cocktails. Because of this, we reached out to them about hosting a work dinner party here and they swiftly agreed! Carolyn was fantastic to work with and gave fabulous recommendations for which menu items to serve. The back room and table were setup beautifully for the party. Stefan is a fantastic server who waited on us the whole night! Our group thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks, and their time spent here! Thank you for making this night so special for us!! I highly recommend this spot for any occasion—they are the best!

My husband and I just celebrated our wedding at RiRa Irish Pub in Portland's Old Port, and I couldn't be more thrilled to share our incredible experience! From the moment we walked through their doors for our initial consultation, the staff made us feel like family. The atmosphere at RiRa is absolutely magical for a wedding celebration. It mixes traditional coastal/nautical decor with the warmth of an Irish pub. The floor to ceiling windows created the perfect backdrop for our special day. Our guests were enchanted by the genuine Irish hospitality and the venue's charming character. The upstairs private dining area was ideal for our reception, offering intimacy while still maintaining that lively pub spirit we fell in love with. The staff went above and beyond to make our day flawless. Tara the event coordinator was attentive to every detail, working closely with us during the planning process and ensuring everything ran smoothly on the wedding day. The servers were professional, friendly, and kept our guests' glasses full throughout the celebration. The food was outstanding! We opted for buffet style.. the SHORT RIBS & BRUSSEL SPROUTS were show stoppers. As were the oysters and seafood tower appetizers. The smoked mussels were a STAR. The bar service was exceptional too – their Guinness pours kept coming. What truly set RiRa apart was how they embraced our vision while adding their own special touches. They helped coordinate with our musicians for traditional Irish music and then a DJ for late night dancing. The location in the heart of Portland's Old Port was perfect for our out-of-town guests, with nearby hotels and easy access to the city's attractions. Many of our wedding party extended their weekend to explore Portland, making it a true destination celebration. RiRa Irish Pub gave us the wedding of our dreams – authentic, warm, delicious, and unforgettable. The staff's dedication and the venue's unique charm made our special day absolutely perfect. When my now husband and I started our search for a wedding venue in the spring of 2024, we were looking for a place that we could have both our ceremony and reception at. We started looking for restaurants that could accommodate us because we were becoming overwhelmed with having to find venders for tables + chairs and caterers and an event coordinator and a florist etc. Finding Saltwater Grille was such a relief for us. Not only could they accommodate our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception (we had a total of about 60 guests), but the rooms also have an amazing view, the food is delicious, and their events coordinator—Amy—was incredibly helpful. From the first time we contacted Amy to request pricing + more info about the rental rooms up to the day of the wedding itself, she was very flexible to all of our requests and was very responsive and attentive to our emails. Then, on the day of our wedding, she also went above and beyond with helping us set up both the ceremony room (the smaller Spinnaker Room) and our reception room (the larger Seawatch Room). Having her help leading up to + the day of the wedding really took a lot of our stress away. All of the bartenders and staff were also lovely and all the food + drinks were great. Saltwater Grille fit our budget in what we wanted for a venue and we had such a great experience from start to finish that we could definitely see ourselves having another event there in the future.

I grew up going to the Lobster Pound with my family for a "special" night out during our family vacations in York. When we started looking for a reception venue, I was THRILLED to see that the Lobster Pound offered wedding receptions. Melissa is nothing short of amazing. She is so laid back and takes all of the stress off of your shoulders. She just has such a calming and fun demeanor about her, you instantly know you're in good hands. Plus she's super organized, not one detail was overlooked. We had a daytime cocktail reception and everything was perfect. She and the staff set up food stations, plus had passed appetizers, and the flow of the room worked perfectly. Two months later, and our guests are STILL raving about the food! They even made plates for my husband and I to have something to eat, because they're right....you never eat at your own wedding. The food was outstanding (beef teryaki, deviled eggs, and lobster rolls were the big hits with our crew). Melissa also organized things with me (the DIY bride) and met with me a few days before the wedding with all of my crafty things.....I showed her everything, explained how I would like it to look, and she completely took care of everything. When I walked into the reception, everything looked even better than I could ever imagine. Our toast ended up being closer to the stage, and not by our table where our toasting glasses were. Honestly I didn't even realize we didn't have glasses for our toast, we were just standing up there, smiling and enjoying every minute. Then when it came time to raise our glasses, there was Melissa, smiling, with our toasting glasses and champagne for us! She really looked out for us. As did the staff. The staff and Melissa really looked after my 87 year old Grammie and kept checking to make sure she had everything she needed. The staff, the food, and especially Melissa all went above and beyond anything we could have hoped for, and we had the perfect day thanks to the Lobster Pound

The space is beautiful with a great view. The staff was attentive and lovely to work with. The food was delicious with a great variety of dishes.

We had to change are venue last minute. The landings restaurant maid it a stress free and happy last minute change. The people were so nice, so helpful, and kind. My wedding day was perfect thanks to them and I can’t thank them enough. I highly recommended you have you next event there

We had our reception at Clay Hill after our ceremony at another location. We had 25 people and used their Veranda room, deck, and lawn. The space was absolutely perfect - so cute and plenty of room for our guests. Rachel and her team were SO accommodating and were able to set up anything I asked for (lawn games, guest book, signs, etc.) so it all looked perfect when we came in! As always, Frontier delivered a spectacular meal from start to finish. Everyone ate every bite! Even the bride and groom!
