Saltwater Grille is a wedding venue located in South Portland, Maine. Situated directly on the picturesque Casco Bay, the restaurant offers scenic views and showcases the Portland skyline as its backdrop. Their private, second-floor event spaces are ideal for couples looking to celebrate in an authentic New England setting.

Facilities and Capacity

Saltwater Grille consists of two sites where you can host your special day. The bright Spinnaker Room features cathedral-style ceilings and large windows, elevating the room and creating an elegant ambiance. Located on the building’s second level, the private space boasts views of the Portland Harbor. While you and your guests sip your favorite drinks and share conversations, you can admire the shimmering water outside. For larger celebrations, the Seawatch Room is available. Highlighted by exposed-wood beams, its neutral, beach-inspired tones offer a blank canvas for your decor visions. This event space is connected to an outdoor balcony, allowing you and your loved ones to enjoy the fresh air. A full-service bar is also featured in the space for a seamless reception experience. It also includes a small dance floor.

We are your perfect waterfront venue. Each of our spaces are great for boutique-sized weddings or you can secure both our larger room for weddings up to 112 of your family and friends.

Whether you’re hosting your engagement party, shower, rehearsal dinner, or ceremony and reception, Saltwater Grille is happy to accommodate you. To align with your preferences, the tables, chairs, and other furnishings can be arranged to your liking. The attentive staff will be there to set up on the big day so that you can focus on saying “I do” and creating long-lasting memories. As much as we would love to serve you, we do not offer offsite catering.

The restaurant’s team of talented, distinguished chefs delights in curating unique menus for those celebrating at the venue. The culinary staff takes pride in offering guests high-quality seafood so that they can experience an authentic taste of Portland. After your ceremony, you and your loved ones can enjoy hot and cold hors d'oeuvres inside or out, served by the waitstaff. These delectable bites include options like crabcakes, lobster rolls, vegetable spring rolls, bacon-wrapped scallops, and more. For a smooth planning and serving experience, hors d’oeuvres can also be ordered as stations or packages. A variety of tasty plated meals and buffets are available for the main course. Appetizers such as jumbo shrimp cocktails and lobster bisque can be prepared to complement entrées like baked haddock, prime rib, and roasted salmon. Themed buffet options include clambake, surf and turf, and seashore-inspired meals, among more.
