I grew up going to the Lobster Pound with my family for a "special" night out during our family vacations in York. When we started looking for a reception venue, I was THRILLED to see that the Lobster Pound offered wedding receptions. Melissa is nothing short of amazing. She is so laid back and takes all of the stress off of your shoulders. She just has such a calming and fun demeanor about her, you instantly know you're in good hands. Plus she's super organized, not one detail was overlooked. We had a daytime cocktail reception and everything was perfect. She and the staff set up food stations, plus had passed appetizers, and the flow of the room worked perfectly. Two months later, and our guests are STILL raving about the food! They even made plates for my husband and I to have something to eat, because they're right....you never eat at your own wedding. The food was outstanding (beef teryaki, deviled eggs, and lobster rolls were the big hits with our crew). Melissa also organized things with me (the DIY bride) and met with me a few days before the wedding with all of my crafty things.....I showed her everything, explained how I would like it to look, and she completely took care of everything. When I walked into the reception, everything looked even better than I could ever imagine.
Our toast ended up being closer to the stage, and not by our table where our toasting glasses were. Honestly I didn't even realize we didn't have glasses for our toast, we were just standing up there, smiling and enjoying every minute. Then when it came time to raise our glasses, there was Melissa, smiling, with our toasting glasses and champagne for us! She really looked out for us. As did the staff. The staff and Melissa really looked after my 87 year old Grammie and kept checking to make sure she had everything she needed. The staff, the food, and especially Melissa all went above and beyond anything we could have hoped for, and we had the perfect day thanks to the Lobster Pound

We could not be happier with the Cape Neddick Lobster Pound, Melissa, and the staff. The location is beautiful. The food was fantastic (Lobster mac & cheese, YUM!). Everyone was so accommodating and responsive. Melissa always made the time to meet with us, answers emails, questions... I highly recommend the Lobster Pound, Maine at it's finest!

Working with Melissa and the Lobster Pound was a breeze. Melissa's professionalism and attentiveness was truly first class. The Pound met every need of ours and then some! Whether it was the easy planning or the execution the day of the event the Pound was a dream. The venue is absolutely stunning and through the rain and fog it made a one of a kind, romantic setting for our wedding day. The food was amazing and our guests raved how fresh and delicious the sea food was. The venue has a perfect set up for a wedding from the tables, the dance floor and stage and to the best part the bar overlooking the dance floor. We would highly recommend the pound to anyone looking for a unique, beautiful and nautical wedding venue.

We had a fantastic wedding at the Cape Neddick Lobster Pound-Harborside Restaurant. The staff was amazing! Our coordinator Melissa was so easy to work with and prompt at answering our questions. She went above and beyond for our day providing extra flowers and decor for our ceremony and reception. The food was not only delicious, but the portions were generous. You get excellent value for what you pay and the opportunity to personalize your wedding/reception. The atmosphere was perfect. We could not have asked for a better place to be married!

My husband and i threw a Rehearsal Dinner for all the guests attending our son's wedding - approximately 150 people. From day one, when I met with Melissa Young, the manager it went smoothly- in fact beyond perfectly. the setting speaks for itself- serene water views and Lobster Shack "chic" inside. The planning process was great, she had terrific ideas to complement mine,the price was extremely reasonable and most important the food was absolutely stellar-Traditional Lobster Bake served (not buffet) to 150 came out hot and finger licking delicious. The appetizers, local and homemade,the dessert- blueberry crumble with local vanilla ice cream all so so good. I am still hearing abut this event from friends and relatives 3 months later!! I truly cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience it was to plan and then attend this most important event and have absolutely NO NEGATIVES to report

Two weeks before our Wedding(June 2nd) we found out our rehearsal dinner location went out of business and never told us. We were in a panic to find a new location. We talked to Melissa at the Cape Neddick Lobster Pound. She had the date open and was so helpful in our time of stress. She made everything easy and let us adjust numbers easily when things got complicate due to the location change. The Staff was super! The Service was amazing and the food was outstanding. We can not say enough about how AMAZING they were. They saved our wedding!!

We can not say enough good about Melissa Young and the staff of Cape Neddick Lobster Pound. Our original venue for our rehearsal dinner went bankrupt and didn't refund our money. We called Melissa in only a few months notice and we could not have asked for more. She was so accommodating and helpful. The staff went above and beyond for us and we could not be happier with the service and venue. The food was better then out wedding food ha ha. Loved the view and the wait staff was superb thanks Priscilla! Thank you all again so much.

We had the Rehearsal Dinner in the upstairs function room, which has decks on two sides overlooking the water. Melissa and the staff were very helpful with the planning and flexible about letting us come in earlier in the day to put out our own table decorations. The staff even added more flowers to the appetizer table from the restaurant's gardens! Our 4 course lobster dinners were delicious. The wait staff were all cheerful and efficient, and helped us pack up our stuff at the end of the event. Melissa was flexible with times and patient with all our planning questions. It was a perfect evening!

The Pound was actually the location for my rehearsal dinner. It was a great atmosphere to welcome friends and family from out of town. We had the upstairs room and deck over looking thr river and the staff made it look very special with linens, flowers and candles.
The lobster dinner and salmon choices accommodated all of my guests and the appetizers and dessert really rounded out the meal. Melissa and her staff paid attention to all our needs without being over bearing and I would recommend this place for any bride.
