As the mother of the bride, planning from 1000 miles away, I reached out to Ryan just looking for a few rooms for our immediate family and the bride and groom for the wedding weekend. We already had a venue for the 200 guest event and had hotel blocks, welcome party and rehearsal plans in the works so I hadn’t considered any of the other offerings. Ryan called me back within hours and was very gracious with his information and time. We arranged a tour during our next family visit to the area. We showed up with family in tow, and Ryan gave the whole crew the tour of the stunning home with all the beautiful suites and gardens, explaining the rich history of the Inn and its restoration. When the bride, groom and I sat with him to discuss which rooms would work best, Ryan mentioned the “Full Manor Rental” which at the time none of us thought we needed since other plans were already in place for the events surrounding the big day. As the planning progressed, we started thinking about the Inn as a potential central gathering place, but it seemed like a luxury expense, not a necessity. Boy, were we WRONG! After countless calls and emails with Ryan, we ended up reserving “The Full Manor.” Ryan offered us a greatly reduced rate for the nights leading up to the weekend which for us being from out of town, allowed us, the bride and groom and some extended family a homebase and place to stay together. (It also allowed us to have the grandkids stay. (They felt like they were in a storybook castle!) That together with the four additional non-suite quest rooms that come with the Full Manor rental, allowed us to house some of the wedding party and family traveling the farthest, it actually saved money on accommodation! We had a small wedding party gathering on the coast Thursday evening, and having the Inn as a homebase, many guests arriving in town were able to come join us after at the Inn. That was the most unexpected benefit of having the whole Inn. That evening the porches and sitting rooms were full of old friends reconnecting and meeting folks from other parts of the bride and groom’s life. It was full of laughter, joy and connection and it was really special! That same spirit continued at the Inn Friday night after the rehearsal and guest welcome events. Dozens of folks joined us back at the Inn to visit and help prep for the big day. Ryan and his team hosted lunch for all of us and the entire wedding party on Saturday amidst the bouquet making on the porch, hair and makeup in the Dogwood suite, wedding tattoos in the dining room et al, all being documented by the photographer. I cannot speak highly enough about how Ryan and the team handled the wedding chaos and just felt like part of the crowd! We ended the weekend with a lovely causal farewell brunch, again filling the porches and dining room with laughter and stories of the epic night before! ALL of those that stayed with us at the Inn and many others that joined us throughout the weekend commented on how beautiful the Inn was and how much it added to the experience. With so many traveling from so far away, we had 4 days of gathering and connecting which is so hard to do at such a large reception. Of the many things I am grateful for from that beautiful weekend, having the Lady Mary Inn is high on the list! If we were to host a small wedding I would do the entire thing there! Ryan once answered a request of mine with “Yes. We can do anything.” He and his crew did not disappoint!

Having my wedding at the Samoset was a dream. I wanted everyone to be able to stay on site, and have all weekend activities on site as well. From the rehearsal dinner outside under the tent, to the welcome party at the clubhouse to the ceremony by the breakwater and reception back under the tent.... the entire weekend was such a dream. I even had a torrential HAIL storm mid ceremony, no covering, and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Linde was ON POINT, she is blunt and extremely detail oriented and that is exactly what you need in a wedding planner. The actual hotel itself is top notch— resort style pool, stunning golf course, renovated rooms... could not recommend this place more. Food was amazing as well!! Lobster all weekend. You’ll have the wedding of your dreams! Worth every penny.

The Hilton Garden Inn is a dream place to get married! I can’t say enough good things about it! First- it’s beautiful. The outdoor space was perfect to get married outside in, the ballroom is amazing. The windows overlooking the patio and river make beautiful scenery and natural light for your event. The staff is absolutely amazing! We worked closely with Jackie Berry to make all of our plans a reality. Matt Shaw helped us set up room blocks for our party, and the entire event day staff were great. They ensured everything went smoothly for our wedding. They also went above and beyond with simple little things that made our day that much more special. Whether it was a hand written note, champagne, or cheesecake in our room- it was amazing. I highly recommend this place! It is a great deal for everything involved, and an amazing place to get married in Maine!

When we first began dreaming of our wedding, we knew two things would be key to a successful reception--dancing and food. When we stumbled across the Dockside Restaurant and realized we could book out the entire place, we couldn't believe our luck! Here are our top four reasons you should absolutely choose Dockside for your reception venue: (1) The Food - Kendra and the team were eager to work with us to craft the perfect wedding menu. We have a lot of allergies as well as foodies in the family, and they balanced the desire for delicious food with perfect signature cocktails with the need to keep shellfish and gluten far away from a few guests. We ended up with about 120 guests, and they did a great job accommodating everything. This included mini-lobster rolls and oyster shooters with gazpacho as appetizers, HUGE portions of price rib, delicious fresh fish, a great vegan option (usually overlooked but not here!), and killer desserts. (2) The View and Ambience - York Harbor at sunset is magical, and the Dockside is in a perfect spot to enjoy it. Everyone loved the expansive green lawn, the small rocky beach, the cute gazebo, and the long dock that puts you among the sailboats. Our guests enjoyed the grounds so much, some of them almost missed the start of dinner. Dockside itself does their beautiful location justice with large, floor to ceiling windows that let you gaze at the water as the sun went down, and an enclosed porch that meant our guests could take a break from the dance floor without feeling as if they were leaving party. As a bonus, the Dockside's floor plan makes it ideal for a dancing. (3) The Staff - We worked with two, wonderful event coordinators due to a long engagement. Our first, Heather, helped put us at ease by walking us through rainy day plans, confirming our choice of DJ, and introducing us to the Dockside's expansive menu. Our second event coordinator, Kendra was as enthusiastic as we were about our event! She helped us work out a plan for all the allergies, and coordinated the special touches mentioned below. All our servers were wonderful! They were attentive, fast, and so kind!! It was clear that everyone on the staff wanted us to feel good and for the event to go smoothly. (4) Special Touches - Kendra helped us plan two signature cocktails and one signature mocktail at no extra cost! The venue was accommodating of our using a school bus to pick up and drop off our guests. And we took the option of extending our night by an hour--and all of our servers stayed through the entire event! If you are considering the Dockside for your wedding reception then look no further - this is the place! PS. We had our ceremony at a different location, but we are confident that Kendra and the group would also do a fabulous job hosting that, too. The view of the harbor is gorgeous and they have a comprehensive rainy day plan. So much so that they were actually our rain location despite our ceremony being elsewhere.

All aspects of the day were perfect, from the controllable ones like food, venue cleanliness, service to the uncontrollable ones like weather, humidity, etc....

Originally when I saw the inn I wasn’t sold, it’s slightly dated (but charming) and would be a bit far for friends and family (we live in Boston and family all over) but their responsiveness and flexibility sold us. They were so nice and so accommodating the entire way. We loved that people could stay on site ( but no minimum night stay requirement) or could stay at b&b or Airbnb in town. The activities like the pool and golf were great too. Everything, including the weather was perfect. We did a tented wedding which I loved, I didn’t like that cocktail hour was near the parking lot, but in the end it really didn’t matter. The food was excellent, they let us really chose anything we wanted and made it happen. They made the signature cocktails just like we requested and they were so delicious. Everyone on site was so incredibly friendly from bar tenders to servers. Jonathan was an awesome day of coordinator and really made sure it was smooth and easy, the staff did all the setting up and it looked beautiful. All our guests loved the bethel inn too! During our process the inn did get bought by a larger company but we never noticed any change in our planning and process. I’m not sure if they are going to continue to have weddings under new management but if they do- I say do it! Loved it so much! We took photos at their boat house and they were so kind to prepare a canoe and clean it, our photographers were impressed!

Village by the Sea is the perfect place for a wedding. Jill, Charlene, and Jayme made the experience one that we will never forget. They demonstrated their professionalism, efficiency, and experience every step of the way. Because of this, the stress that typically accompanies these events was nowhere to be found, and everything went smoothly. Our guests raved about the staff, the food, and the venue. Several of our guests had food allergies, and these ladies immediately took care of the situation, which allowed those guests to relax. Whenever we contacted them, they responded quickly, which calmed our nerves. Village by the Sea and its staff went above and beyond our expectations to make our experience one that we will never forget. Thank you, Jill, Charlene, and Jayme for a very special day.

We had our wedding at the Newagen Seaside Inn on the weekend of October 11, and it’s honestly hard to put into words just how magical the entire experience was. From the moment we arrived, every single member of the staff made us feel cared for, supported, and completely at ease. Their warmth and kindness shone through in everything they did, and it meant the world to us. The entire weekend felt effortless, special, and full of heart. Our guests noticed it too. The setting was breathtaking, the atmosphere was calm and welcoming, and the staff went above and beyond at every step. Because of them, we were able to be fully present and soak in every moment. We are so deeply grateful for the way the team made our wedding weekend the best we’ve ever had. It’s a time we will cherish forever, and Newagen Seaside Inn will always hold a special place in our hearts for helping create those memories.

I've been going to Migis since I was young, so this was an extra special place to have my wedding. With that said, all our guests raved about the wedding, the unique venue. It felt like a mini vacation for our guests. The staff is wonderful and go above and beyond to make it a very special weekend.
