The store front is not the most glamorous, and the dress selection was small, but the alterations were great! I already purchased my gown from a shop in LA, then moved to DC for a new job. I used Joan for my alterations, and she was fantastic. I couldn't believe what some other shops were charging for alterations, and she gave me a reasonable price. I had a straight neckline on my strapless dress that was scalloped lace, and I wanted a sweetheart neckline. She worked some magic and made the sweetheart neckline look like it was original with perfect scallops. I ordered my veil form her, and it was wrong at first, but she re-ordered and the correct one came in just a few days. They are also not very good at picking up the phone or returning calls- it makes a bride a little nervous, but it was all fine in the end. In all- she's not great at customer service, but she is a great seamstress. She did best what I hired her for- to make my dress look great, and she did!
Word to the wise: be careful when you sit on your bustled dress! I sat on mine, and broke the hook! Luckily we had a sewing kit and my mom could fix it on-the-spot. I don't think it was Joan's fault, I probably should have been more careful.

She made my dress beautiful. We had a few timing issues on my bridesmaid dresses, but overall was good.
