If I could give Mona more stars, I would. She was fantastic to work with and through all of the long distance communication she was professional and responsive. I would recommend her without hesitation. We loved the venue we selected at Block Island, but Mona made it magical.

I was formerly a corporate event planner and am quite experienced in planning events for up to 1,000 attendees & juggling lots of vendors. Well - its a whole different story when its your own wedding! We hosted a beautiful outdoor ceremony & reception on Block Island for 200 guests and logistically it was a lot more complicated than anything on the mainland. If it hadn't been for Mona and Jessica working together, we wouldn't have been able to handle it all. Mona was so responsive to our needs and she was truly fantastic when it came to recommending local vendors. She helped us book our transportation on the island - which sounds simple but without her it would have been impossible. (And the school bus was a huge hit with guests)

If you're getting married on Block Island - at Stonebeach or any other venue - do NOT do it without hiring Mona Dwyer Helterline. Even if you're only planning a small affair, Mona's local expertise is vital. I didn't worry for a single moment about weather - even though our venue was completely outdoor - because I knew that Mona would figure out something at the last minute if necessary. (Our weather was perfect by the way) Mona was right on top of all our vendors, making sure everything was done right and done well. Her rates are extremely fair and she's a joy to work with on all levels.

Mona was a godsend for planning a Block Island Wedding! She knows the ins and outs and everyone you need to be in contact with and everything you need to think about in throwing a wedding on Block Island. She went above and beyond what her contract said she would do and truly cares about you as a bride. I never imagined using a wedding planner as I wouldn't have thought I coudl afford it but I had no idea how reasonable her prices would be. She was hands down the best money I spent on my wedding! I would recommend her to any Bride even if you aren't choosing Block Island as your wedding destination.

Mona is an absolute lifesaver and a "must" for anyone planning a Block Island wedding! She has all of the local knowledge about what vendors are best and is connected to all of them. Mona is easy to work with and very responsive - two very important qualities for a wedding planner / day-of coordinator!!! She really took into consideration the perspectives and wishes of me, my husband, and our families in making planning and day-of decisions. She was also prepared for anything -- for example, she had pins ready to fix my bustle when it broke during the reception. After the wedding my dad, who originally didn’t think that we needed day-of support services, said that having Mona join us was the smartest investment we made.
