We knew we wanted a wedding planner that had personality, style, and took both the bride AND groom's opinions into account, and we knew on seeing Michael's website that his clients were the kinds of people we wanted to emulate. We saw the love between the dearly beloveds on his page and knew we wanted to join them in our happiest day; in talking to Michael at our first meeting, he made it clear that our wedding wouldn't be a canned affair, but a truly unique-to-us experience. He heard my groom and myself out thoroughly and let us both have equal time to share our thoughts instead of making it just MY day as the bride, which was very important to us. We told him we wanted magic and to be maybe even get married by a witch, and he was still on board. He asked if we needed to sacrifice a goat during the ceremony and was only a little bit outside his comfort zone (we didn't sacrifice a goat, but we did end up with a traditional handfasting ritual and a lot of celtic harp music).
Michael was honest, sweet, and excited for what lay in store for us every step of the way, and recommended the perfect florist for the all-out overgrown secret garden vibe I wanted. He put us in touch with a tailor and recommended options for my groom's custom tux, brought us one of the kindest officiants in the world when our witch fell through at the last minute, and even PICKED OUT MY PERFECT DRESS AT THE FIRST BRIDAL APPOINTMENT.
Go ahead and find me a wedding planner that knows their couples better than this man knew us. I dare you to try!
I never felt like I was a cookie cutter bride or that I was just another couple. He knew me and my groom's personalities and exactly what would make us excited, and treated us like the only couple in the world. If you don't pick Michael, you picked wrong.

It is not an exaggeration to say that we could not have pulled off our outdoor wedding without the guidance of Michael Marcoux!

Throughout our entire planning process, Michael was organized, responsive, incredibly invested, and a joy to work with! He brings years of experience, expertise and relationships in the RI and MA area, and is truly passionate about planning weddings true to each individual couple.

We were married in Marion, MA in a tented ceremony with 240 people in September. One week before, we started to get wind (literally) of an ominous weather pattern - a hurricane - headed straight towards our reception location. Michael handled the entire situation like a total pro. I cannot overstate his commitment during this week, from driving to the tent location at 6 a.m. every morning to checking in with every vendor multiple times to ensure they were still coming to the wedding. Michael was a lifesaver and rockstar, and his dedication truly shined. On the day of our wedding, as the storm passed, we didn't have to worry about one single detail - he had it under control.

We loved working with Michael. You're not going to find a more committed planner. He helped us turn our dreams into a reality, and we are forever grateful.

Michael was no less than excellent. He was professional, but not stuffy. He took care of every detail for our son’s and now son-in-law’s wedding at Shepherd’s Run. He worked seamlessly with vendors and accompanied my sons to all appointments and his recommendations were spot on.

My (now) husband and I were introduced to Michael through a contact at our venue. It was the moment that our wedding planning shifted from “What are we doing?” to “We cannot wait to do this!”

When that contact told us about Michael, she mentioned that he is the best in the business at bringing out couples’ personalities for the wedding. This proved to be true, where every idea we threw his way he would take in stride and develop ways to make it happen. This is one of my favorite parts of working with Michael; we would share what we thought were wild ideas (naming the tables after Hollywood divas; doing the after party at a bowling alley) and he would always say, “yes, and…” Even when it was a terrible idea (putting in music video televisions; not doing seating at the ceremony) he would say “yes and …” while gently guiding us back to realizing it was a horrible idea, allowing his expertise and tact to shine through, and our trust to grow with it.

What’s key here is that Michael doesn’t just hear you; he listens. He makes everyone - parents, guests, etc. - feel heard and included. (Even when, perhaps, the grooms didn’t want them to be.)

Of the many compliments we received on our big day - our suits, our smiles - one we received over and over again was, “and your planner is clearly amazing.” So many guests said the event “felt like you,” which is a large tribute to the work and professionalism Michael brings to his projects, and the very reason for which we were introduced to him all that time ago. We’re better for it. We may just renew our vows if only to work with him again.

We first decided to work with Michael based on a number of conversations with him where it was clear that he was exceptionally organized, would honor our vision, and would provide us with great recommendations along our journey. He stayed true to our first impressions throughout the process. As a couple planning a wedding from 2000 miles away, it gave us confidence and peace of mind to have Michael on the ground for us, making sure every detail was addressed. He was extremely responsive anytime we had a question, and would always keep us on track with any deadlines (we needed a lot of help with that part!). The team of vendors that Michael recommended and we selected for the big day were so well coordinated and on the same page. We know that Michael’s influence was a major part of that.

On the day of, Michael was so well prepared, cool, calm, and collected. It again made us feel so confident that everything was going to go off without a hitch - and it definitely did! We never had to worry or be bothered about a thing. It was the perfect day, and we’ll always be grateful to Michael for making it so. We couldn’t have done it without him.

I received so many words from my family members and friends about how wonderful Michael was at our wedding. That's what my husband and I got to experience for the year we worked with him. He is truly an amazing person who goes above and beyond for his clients and provides immense support throughout the entire process tailored to each couple he works with. I know this, because it couldn't have always been easy working with my husband and I, and yet, he stuck with us and believed in us, even through times that we felt stress and pressure as we completed our graduate studies and worked full time. That, I appreciate the most. What can we say about Michael Marcoux!!! I guess let’s start with Michael, the wedding planner. I’ve never met a more dedicated, hard working person. I cannot even count the number of all day/nighters we pulled. This man would drive up to Boston from RI in the AM and leave after midnight. This past Saturday, we had the wedding of our dreams, and it all came together with your help!! It came together, yes, because you put in all the hard work, but really because it is so evident how much you care about us. You poured your heart and soul into making sure this dream turned into reality, and we can’t thank you enough !!!!! 🙏

I never thought I would get a wedding planner, until I realized not only how much it takes to make the most memorial day of your life happen smoothly, but how valuable a sense of peace and security can be on the equally most nerve racking day of your life. Michael, along with his team we’re on their A-Game, kind, patient, fun, and did everything to give my husband and I the best day ever. I don’t regret a single penny. Love them!!!!

If you have gotten this far as to read this review, you have already made the very important (and correct) decision to hire a planner for your wedding. Our biggest advice at this step is to CHOOSE MICHAEL. You will NOT regret it.
Michael’s knowledge of the industry and connections throughout Rhode Island made the day and everything that lead up to it absolutely seamless. I (the bride) had many people ask me how I was so calm and I always said “I have a planner” but reflecting back and comparing to all the weddings we have attended, the answer was really “my planner is Michael”.
He stepped into many roles during the process. He attended all my dress fittings in Boston and made me feel beautiful while giving feedback on what would work best day-of. The three of us (my husband, Michael and I) laughed our way through venue tours, food tastings and countless video calls. While we were having fun, Michael made sure to keep us on track and we were always ahead of timeline and within our budget. Even though I struggled to put into words what I was imagining for the day, he somehow accurately translated our vision when discussing details with all the vendors. We looked forward to our recurring meetings with him and always got off the call even more excited than we were before. Michael would listen for what is important to and unique about us and worked hard to get those represented in our day. We never felt overwhelmed or stressed because we knew Michael had hired us the best-of-the-best wedding team. Everyone he recommended to us were amazing and we felt very confident leading up to the day that our vision would come together and it did, plus some! It was all beautiful and the team made us feel so special.
Our friends and family have not stopped raving about the day and most often mentioned, is Michael. We are so grateful to have found him and to have spent the last year working with him. We will miss him very much!!

We were incredibly lucky to have Michael referred to us after he planned a wedding for a colleague. At our first meeting, Michael said something along the lines of: “My goal is that you have absolutely no stress your wedding weekend because you will have confidence that no matter what comes our way I will have it managed and taken care of so that you sit back and enjoy every moment of the weekend”. And is exactly how we and our parents felt the entire weekend. We had a zero stress wedding weekend because of Michaels meticulous planning, ability to identify problems before they arose, and his incredible dedication to making our vision come to reality.

We did the full package deal where Michael helped us find a venue, all our vendors, and was present our FULL wedding weekend (three days!). He set up countless tours until we found the perfect venue. He set up zoom calls with vendors to make sure that we connected with them prior to booking and he was present for every call in case questions came up. He came to all of our walk throughs at the venue and stayed late after to enjoy a margarita with us as we debriefed.  We appreciated that he allowed a nice mix of letting us lead the way to create a vision for the weekend of our dreams, while also knowing when to step in when something didn’t seem right or to suggest additional ideas. What was most impressive was his impressively positive attitude throughout it all. He always had a smile on his face and was eager to hear even our craziest ideas, always happy to find a way to make them a reality.

At the end of the weekend, we had to stop counting how many guests came up to us and asked how we got so lucky in finding Michael. His positive energy is contagious and everyone could tell how he kept the entire weekend seamlessly running so smoothly.
