Being the first wedding at Long View Resort was such a treat! The venue is absolutely breathtaking both inside and out. The mountain views and picturesque backdrop can be seen clearly from the large windows or viewing decks at the Lodge. There are also 4 one bedroom cabins on the property that have offer the same incredible views. These in addition to the Lodge rooms allowed our guests to also spend the weekend with us. Beyond the amazing views, we found that the wood fired soaking tub, spa services and massage options really helped us to relax and enjoy the weekend. Everyone was so accommodating and they thought of everything! During all my venue searches in TN and NC, I never found anything like Long View Resort. It’s a special place that grabbed my attention immediately, and I’m so thankful it did. Our pictures could not have been more perfect.

I recently spent a few nights at Basecamp Smoky Mountains — and it was exactly the kind of getaway I was hoping for: peaceful, restorative, and deeply connected to nature. The resort is tucked away on Needmore Road, right next to the Little Tennessee River, national forest land, and expansive green spaces. I stayed in one of the Eco-Villas (or the Lodge, depending on what you choose), and it was just right for what I needed: comfort plus a natural vibe. The villa had a private patio, fire pit, and hot tub, which made it easy to unwind in the evening under the stars. If you like wellness and reset, the resort offers “forest bathing,” guided hikes, even cold-plunge options and meditation/energy-healing sessions (though you may want to sign up ahead of time). Overall Experience Basecamp Smoky Mountains struck a wonderful balance between comfort and wilderness. It felt luxurious enough to be a treat, yet wild enough to remind you you’re deep in the Smokies. The combination of thoughtful accommodations, serene natural surroundings, and access to hiking, forest bathing, and fire-pit evenings made for a reset that felt good for both my body and mind.

Lands Creek Log Cabins is an ideal place to get married! The venue is absolutely beautiful. The owner, Robin Fronrath, is phenomenal to work with. He is very flexible and open to ideas. He worked with us to help us stay within our budget. We plan to go back to Lands Creek to stay in the cabins many more times!

I have to say that I googled the most responsible and beautiful wedding venue and Nantahala Weddings and Events came up. I fell in love, visited once and had the best wedding anyone could wish for! Tracy did the catering and nailed the fried trout, Angel coordinated the day and made it perfect, and Jody was a god send! I loved every minute and hope to have forever friends~ from make up Brittany Cope to Jody Hafey. Love all of you and appreciate you making my day very very special!!!!

The Hemlock Inn is the PERFECT place for a destination mountain wedding. Not only do they have the best view of the Smokey Mountains, they have the best food south of the Mason-Dixon Line! The innkeepers, Mort and Lainey, are the sweetest couple and make sure everything runs smoothly! Guests are expected to stay at the inn where everything takes place: Friday nights rehearsal dinner and Saturdays ceremony and reception, so it is truly a weekend getaway with your wedding guests. There are so many activities for guests to do Friday and Saturday just a couple miles down the road! The Hemlock Inn staff are so friendly and wonderful to work with. I will recommend this place a hundred times over and am so excited we have such a special place to visit for weekend getaways, anniversaries, etc!
