Uptown Indigo is a family owned and operated wedding venue in Shelby, North Carolina with two floors and a breathtaking rooftop terrace. The design is modern and moody with lots of artistic details. Inside the historic Campbell Building, Uptown Indigo has been restored to make for the perfect chic wedding venue. Every inch of our space was handcrafted with intention.

Facilities and Capacity

From the original tin ceilings to the handmade tiles, Uptown Indigo is a truly unique wedding venue. The venue can accommodate up to 220 seated guests, with the largest space being the 6,000-square-foot Indigo Ballroom. This ballroom is characterized by its modern light fixtures combined with original historic elements that provide a 1920s feel with a modern twist. It is fully accessible with an elevator and large, elegant bathrooms. With a brand new heating and cooling system, you don't have to worry about what the weather will be like on your wedding day. The 4,000-square-foot Steeples Event Space is on the top floor and is complete with a prohibition-era, eclectic space for cocktail hours or smaller ceremonies. The detailed tile ceilings, along with the warm lighting, give the space a romantic feel. Both the ballroom and Steeples Event Space offer a full-service bar. Lastly, the rooftop terrace offers 800 square feet of space and an absolutely breathtaking 360-degree view of Shelby and the mountains in the distance. We offer two suites for the couple to relax and get ready for their special day.
