Wonderful!

This space is the essence of Old Town Alexandria - classic, with tall ceilings, elegant and warm. Our dinner for 45 people fit well, with a cake area, a dance area, and even a bar table in the main room. Our guests all thought the location was superb and memorable, an event our friends will remember for years.

Poor Hospitality. Poor Communication. Beautiful Space.

Nestled in a prime location, this venue boasts breathtaking scenery that is sure to enchant. Regrettably, that is where it ends. We experienced subpar customer service and hospitality during our stay. Despite seeing similar negative reviews regarding customer service, we remained optimistic that our experience would be different. However, we were met with an unwelcoming attitude, as if we were an inconvenience to the staff, particularly Corinne. As an LGBTQ couple, we cannot help but wonder if that played a role in our experience.

To add insult to injury, we were made to wait outside the venue for an hour and a half due to a miscommunication with their maintenance staff who had locked the door. Despite calling Corinne multiple times for assistance, we received no response until someone finally came to our aid.

While we did our best to provide honest feedback via an AirBnB review, we were disappointed to receive a defensive and retaliatory response from Corinne, who claimed missing items such as a can opener and knife. Such behavior only serves to reinforce our negative experience and is a clear indication of poor management and customer service.

It is disheartening to see a beautiful and historic venue like Union Square not live up to its full potential due to inadequate management and customer service. While the beauty of the location cannot be denied, potential guests should be aware that they may not be treated as valued customers. Our experience has left us with a sense of disappointment, and we sincerely hope that management will take steps to improve their services in the future.
