DAR is a wedding venue and concert hall packed with history. Every president has visited the venue since Calvin Coolidge; beyond that, it has attracted various high-profile visitors and performers.

Facilities and Capacity

The construction of the Constitution Hall began in 1928, and the building was opened for performances in 1929. The first musical performance in the DAR Constitution Hall took place in November 1929 and showcased performers Anna Case, Efrem Zimbalist, Sophie Braslau, and Hans Barth. The hall serves as a public space and can be rented by private individuals for weddings and events. The Constitution Hall is a part of the DAR complex in Washington. This large campus comprises a whole city block and includes the DAR national headquarters, museum, and other spaces.

The DAR has a dedicated events coordinator for the Constitution Hall. They will be with the couple throughout the wedding planning process and can advise on any issues. The Constitution Hall is ready for couples to make it their own.
