This site’s earliest recorded history dates back to 1549, when the Catawba tribe first discovered the property’s two mineral springs. In the 1700s, five cottages sat on the property surrounding a small courtyard. The only cottage still standing today was renovated in 2003 and serves as the Special Event & Spa. Resorts were then built on the property during the 1800s, except for the period during the Civil War, at which point the site’s buildings were used as hospitals for the wounded soldiers. Post-war it once again became a booming resort and, in 1869, began welcoming distinguished guests from Washington, D.C. such as President Roosevelt, General Robert E. Lee, General Stonewall Jackson and others.

A perfect day!
Perfect would be the word to describe our big day and it’s a huge thanks to the staff and vendors at Historic Jordan Springs. We took advantage of pretty much all their services and boy did it all come together perfectly! The venue was gorgeous (guests said it was the prettiest and smoothest wedding they’ve ever been to), the food was amazing (and plenty), the cake was... have I used the word perfect yet? The guests LOVED the music the DJ played (we said no country and left the rest to him), the photographer knew the property and was as efficient as possible to get us back to the party while still taking a lot of photos.
I forgot the iPhone headphone jack adapter for the first dance but didn’t even start to feel stressed because I new Colt, the man behind our perfect night, would make sure everything would turn out... perfect.
We loved everything about our experience. All the staff was amazing. Colt really knows his events and does everything in his power to allow you to just have the most amazing experience ever.
Thank you, Historic Jordan Springs!

last Saturday exceeded even my wildest expectations. You and your team are miracle workers, and the venue was so gorgeous it made me cry. You promised it all along, but you took our dream and made it a reality - while classing it up considerably! Louie and I agree, you were always such a supportive and calming presence. You always went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, including those 2 am emails and late night phone calls. You acted as a wedding planner on top of all of your other obligations as a host, and Louie and I couldn't be more greatful. Also, the design of the cookie table was next level. Ya'll are true visionaries.
I will continue singing your praises to the public. Already, two of our newlywed guests were so impressed, they will be following up with you for a tour. Thank you for working with me and my family to make the final event something we will all proudly remember forever. It was perfect.
My very best to you and yours!
I am a Non-Denominational Minister/ Wedding Officiant and I had the opportunity to officiate a marriage service at Historic Jordan Springs a few years ago. All I can say is WOW!!!! The Bride and Groom could not have chosen a more perfect venue for their winter wedding. The inside was decorated beyond beautifully and upon entering the door it felt as though I was entering a mystical fairy land. The staff was accommodating, the food was excellent and as an officiant, I was overwhelmed with the kindness and sincere professionalism that was so much a part of my experience. I highly recommend Historic Jordan Springs and hope to be able to officiate at their venue at another time in the future.
