From the moment we found this venue, we knew it was special. Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful and felt like something out of a dream. The owners were so kind, accommodating, and responsive throughout the entire process, and they truly made us feel taken care of. Having lodging on-site was also such a wonderful convenience for our family and wedding party. Being able to stay together made the whole wedding weekend even more memorable. We are so thankful we chose this venue and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, intimate, and truly magical place to celebrate their special day! ❤️

We used the Kimpton The Forum Hotel for our wedding weekend and it was a DREAM. By far the nicest accommodations available in the Charlottesville area, and pricing-wise, it beats competitors by a mile for a much nicer experience. From the minute we arrived for our wedding weekend, staff here made us feel seen and helped us with our every request. We were able to book a suite for bride and groom and getting ready, and Shannon helped us so much in securing our room block, extending it, and coordinating our stay. We also opted to have our wedding welcome party here, which was truly perfect. A huge thank you to Jake for the wonderful support provided in planning. The bar staff was so kind and soldiered through a very hot evening outside on the Camilia Promenade (which was a BEAUTIFUL venue) and choosing to host the welcome party at the hotel was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning process. The food and drink were perfect. This was also a great spot for our guests, who could find something to eat at one of the restaurants when needed. We found ourselves gathered around the bar at night which was just such a lovely way to spend time together, and the accommodations themselves were so upscale and lovely. Valet staff was out of this world helpful, remembered our names, were friendly and kind...and our guests loved the happy hour in the evenings, too! I wish we could've stayed here even longer, it was truly so perfect and made us feel so special over our wedding weekend. Can't recommend enough!

I just finished a tour with Sarah over at The Place at Innsbrook and I'm floored by the professionalism, the attention to detail, and the care I was shown. I am so excited to go home and tell my fiancé about The Place and possibly choose them to host our wedding!

We loved getting married at Wintergreen! We did our initial tour and booking process with Kierstin. We were introduced to Josie about 6 months before our wedding after she joined the Wintergreen team. Both Kierstin and Josie were wonderful to work with. They were incredibly responsive and organized, and they both worked hard with other Wintergreen event staff, culinary team, etc to make sure everything was seamless on our day. We had our ceremony at the Blue Ridge Overlook, cocktail hour at the Shamokin Terrace, and reception at the Blue Ridge Terrace. Additionally, we also hosted our rehearsal dinner and welcome party at the Lookout Lodge. We loved each event space we chose! Most of our guests were flying in for the wedding, and we heard so many compliments from our guests about how nice and helpful the Wintergreen staff was. Both of our families stayed in multiple houses and we also stayed in a condo room during the week that we were here, and all the accommodations we went to were clean and had great views. If you are looking for a weekend escape for your wedding with breathtaking scenery- this is it! The pricing was quite straightforward, transparent, and honest (they refunded a few costs on items that we had not noticed went unused). The team made many accommodations to help bring our wedding plan to fruition! We are thankful for the entire Wintergreen team and would absolutely recommend getting married here!

I honestly cannot say enough positive things about the Inn at Blackstone as a venue and the staff behind the scenes. From our initial email to the last box loaded up on Sunday morning after the wedding, The Inn at Blackstone was phenomenal to work with. They demonstrated qualities such as communication, attention to detail, kindness, humor, and more. Throughout the planning process, they never stressed us out. We always knew where we stood, and if we had a question, they were just a phone call or email away with the QUICKEST answer time I’ve ever seen. We got married in August of 2025, and even all these months later, everyone compliments how cool our venue was (especially the fact that you could go right upstairs to your room after all the drinks we served). We chose the wedding weekend package that included the rehearsal dinner, welcome party, and wedding at one location. Our wedding was an absolute dream thanks to the venue and staff at The Inn at Blackstone.

We couldn't have asked for a more stunning and seamless experience than what we had at Mountain Lake Lodge. From the moment we visited, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding day. The venue is absolutely breathtaking, with a gorgeous landscape and a warm, homey feel that created the ideal backdrop for both our ceremony and reception. The attention to detail is extraordinary—every corner of the venue feels like it’s been thoughtfully crafted to make your event unforgettable. Whether it was the beautiful outdoor spaces with sweeping views or the charming indoor areas, Mountain Lake Lodge offered the perfect blend of natural beauty and comfort. We were blown away by how smoothly everything went, thanks to Lyndsi and the rest of the catering and events teams who went above and beyond to ensure our day was flawless. They were professional, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making our wedding day as special as possible. We couldn't be happier with our choice of venue, and we’re so thankful to Mountain Lake Lodge for helping us create memories that will last a lifetime. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a magical and unforgettable wedding experience!

We could not have chosen a more perfect place for our destination wedding than The Berry Hill Resort and Convention Center. Our planning journey began nine months before the big day. After touring several venues in the Richmond area and feeling underwhelmed, we discovered Berry Hill—two hours away, but absolutely worth the drive. The pricing and amenities almost sounded too good to be true, so we fully expected to find a flaw when we visited. Instead, we fell completely in love. The moment we walked into the mansion, we knew it was the place. It was even more beautiful in person—grand, elegant, and full of character. An added bonus was that everything was handicap accessible, which was essential for my dad and made the weekend comfortable and stress-free for him. Our original coordinator was knowledgeable, friendly, laid-back, and made the entire planning process incredibly smooth. She even gave us her personal cell phone number and was always prompt, responsive, and reassuring. About three months before the wedding, she left the venue, which could have introduced stress, but Stephanie stepped in immediately. She introduced herself, explained her years of experience, and let us know we were in great hands. She was absolutely right. Stephanie handled the final planning, rehearsal, ceremony, and reception with total precision. She anticipated every detail and managed each part of the wedding flawlessly. I felt confident every step of the way that nothing would be overlooked—and nothing was. The staff overall was excellent. The hotel rooms were gorgeous and surprisingly affordable, making it easy for guests traveling from out of town. The event spaces were stunning and grand, offering an experience that felt luxurious without the luxury price tag. Truly—you get twice the wedding for half the price. The grounds were beautiful for our mid-November outdoor wedding, and both the food at Darby’s Tavern and the reception were fantastic. If you’re considering Berry Hill for your wedding: run, don’t walk, to book it. It exceeded every expectation and gave us the perfect wedding day. We could not be more grateful.

I recently had the most unforgettable birthday celebration, and I can't stop smiling whenever I think about it! From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect and filled with love, laughter, and incredible memories. The day kicked off with thoughtful surprises that set the tone—a room decorated with balloons, photos, and hand-written notes from friends and family. I felt so appreciated and special right from the moment I woke up. The Boiler Room was a hit. There were cozy seating areas, and the speakeasy vibe felt very intimate. The food? Absolutely delicious—every dish was a hit, from the appetizers to the drinks. The service was top tier the bartender was friendly and staff very attentive. It was a great time! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommend booking the Boiler Room for celebrating birthdays like this or a bachelor/bachelorette event —surrounded by ljust a little bit of magic

The Jefferson is a gorgeous hotel and the guests that were able to stay there had a wonderful experience. They sent champagne and chocolate strawberries to our room on the wedding night and made every accommodation for dietary restrictions at my bridal luncheon in the library. Our only complaint is that we were told it would be easy to add rooms to our block as needed but the hotel was fully booked 6 months in advance and many guests struggled to find accommodations on a very busy weekend in Richmond.
