We had our first date here so we wanted to have our wedding reception here and we are so glad we did! Taylor was fantastic to work with and made the planning process much easier. It was our dream wedding and people kept talking about how beautiful and spacious it was. We had 88 guest and it was the perfect venue for that amount of people. We had a live jazz band and the acoustics were great. I would highly recommend this for gatherings of around 90-100 people.

My husband and I held our ceremony and reception at Malmaison. Kayla was great to work with, as was the chef. Kayla worked with us to find decorations, a dinner menu, and bar offerings that both fit our tastes and our budget. She and the venue were responsive and with their help, everything ran smoothly, and we and our guests loved how everything turned out!

Great venue. Great food. Worth checking out if you want to get married in DC. Malmaison is a great, comfortable space where guests can really enjoy themselves. It's a beautiful urban space, tucked away by the Key Bridge in Georgetown. Look at the pictures, visit the space, and if you like it, don't worry about the rest. The team was easy to work with, despite some staff turnover (imagine that's common anywhere you go) and the food was fantastic. If you want your guests to eat well, Malmaison is a perfect choice. The space is clean and modern (without looking like it's out of the Jetsons or someone's crappy Pintrest board). It makes a great canvass for your florist. It's not stuffy at all. People can be comfortable here. The large floor-to-ceiling glass doors are unique and add to the open concept of the space. Obviously makes for great air circulation in the warmer months, and imagine it would be beautiful as well in winter. Our wedding was June 2016 and guests took full advantage of having easy access to the cocktail tables set up outside. We got married nearby and guests were able to walk from the ceremony to the reception, which was cool and also cut out the variable of transportation between ceremony and reception venues. They also have a state of the art sound system, which is a major plus. Not only is your music going to sound better, but if you're using a DJ, you can bring that cost down bc they don't have to bring extra equipment. Very reasonably priced bar packages also. And with the bar being so close to the dancefloor, your guests will definitely take advantage. The only thing we can't tell you firsthand is how good the dessert was. We were too busy dancing and that kind of sucks because so many people talked about how amazing it was.
