Our wedding at MV was absolutely gorgeous. I chose the site not only because my parents had gotten married there 28 years prior, but also because it blends historic charm, elegance, and good service. Ashley was wonderful to work with. She's kind and gracious, cheerful, and just absolutely lovely. Throughout the tasting and multiple meetings, everyone else we encountered was very pleasant. I'd love to personally thank the woman who waited on our sweetheart table the night of. My husband and I couldn't finish our meal (you get generous portions which is awesome!) which of course happens when you need to talk to your guests, and the staff packed up everything including cake so we could enjoy the food later that night. The sunken garden is a great spot for a ceremony. We can even attest that it's pretty well-protected during a torrential downpour. We loved that the space has multiple rooms for the event. That allowed guests who didn't want to be around for loud music during dancing to go socialize on their own. We were able to plan the evening with the help of Ashley so that guests did not have to move to different rooms too many times throughout the evening in order to watch events. One note to be aware of - when you pay for wedding coordination, you are paying for a team of people. I'd glossed over that while reading the planning materials, and was rather thrown off when several people tag-teamed running the event the day of. Nevertheless, Anthony handled everything very professionally, and the night went well. Oh, and I should also mention that Anthony ran our rehearsal, and was phenomenal at organizing everyone, and giving me advice on how walking down the aisle should go (something I hadn't thought much about till that moment!). This really is the most original event space you'll find in the DC area that isn't going to break the bank. The staff is very kind, the food excellent, and the amenities wonderful. Quick tip: We took most of our photos right outside the inn (and they were amazing), but literally two minutes down the highway on the right is a little park on the river where we took couple photos. Isadora and Grace are truly the dream team. The venue is gorgeous, intimate, and has everything you could need. It's only an hour drive from the DC suburbs which was exactly what we were looking for. We went with their weekend package, so we held our rehearsal dinner here on Friday before our wedding as well and it worked out so perfectly. You get so much for your money when you pick Rixey. The entire Rixey team has your back throughout the entire process, with Isadora fearlessly leading. She's the real gem of this place. The wedding day itself was so wonderful and so much is due to the Rixey team. The day was beautiful, the manor was perfect, and we had a great party. Do yourselves a favor and pick Rixey for your wedding, you won't regret it.

We loved having our wedding at the George Washington National Masonic Memorial! My fiancé and I actually met while working at this venue three years prior to our wedding, so it was a special place for us. We were married in the theater, had a cocktail hour and reception following in Grand Masonic Hall. The building itself is an amazing work of art, with a lot of great photo opportunities - think red, gold, and marble. We received many compliments from our guests on our choice of this unique venue. We also provided guests with a chance to ride up the elevators during cocktail hour to see the view from the ninth floor - spectacular! Radka and Kevin, and all of the tour guides, are great to work with. We would highly recommend this beautiful venue to other couples getting married in Alexandria!

We could not have been happier with our wedding at Historic Rosemont and our fantastic wedding planned Felicia. They are all exceptional wedding professionals, and they strike a perfect balance between lending their expertise and allowing Brides/Grooms to make weddings uniquely their own. I was married at Barns at Crest Hill and it succeeded all of my expectations. First the view is unbelievable. Watching the sunset over the little mountain in the backdrop and lake Athlone with Irish music playing was picture perfect. We had a little hide-away bar in the silo itself, and it felt like we were in a medieval tower. This is not a cutesy country farm with lots of rough spots showing... It is regal property where every corner has been perfected, and where you can craft the perfect vision you have for your wedding and make it a reality. Another favorite? The majestic fireplace overlooking a pebblsteone patio that rivaled the pavilion as a dance floor. Your guest will find plenty of nooks. Just sneak inside to the pub, or upstairs for a window view and soak it all in. Amazing people to do business with, amazing location, and the nearby town of Marshall is picture perfect Americana. Don't miss the Red Truck Bakery!

Josephine Butler Parks Center (JPBC) is such a beautiful venue, we had our wedding there in November of 2024 and couldn’t have picked a better place. The entire process of venue selection can be daunting, and JBPC made it easy for us. We signed up for an initial walkthrough and fell in love with the history of the building, the unique layout, and the beautiful art and color schemes in each room. Steve guided us on our tour and answered all our questions, and we knew right away that this was where we wanted to hold our wedding. Taking several months to plan our wedding, we coordinated with JPBC staff to do two additional tours where they answered even more questions and allowed us to see what different lighting configurations looked like and make measurements to finalize our configuration for the big day. For the reception, we decided to seat our guests in the main ballroom, have the dance floor on the second floor foyer, place the bar out on the balcony, and serve the buffet and cake in the south gallery. Seating was a little tight in the main ballroom, as we had our guests sit at fifteen round tables that were 5 feet in diameter, with a sweetheart table by the larger fireplace. But we made it work and it was a fantastic day for us overall!

I celebrated my daughter’s quinceanera at Jordan springs and I couldn’t have made a better choice. It was magical and elegant everything went so perfect. I wanted a very exclusive elegant but small celebration with our closest friends and family. MR colt and his team went above and beyond. he reaaly paid so my attention to my vision and made alot more than that. he truly exidded my expectations. from the planning coordination in the day of. The decorations, the atmosphire the food and service. everything was amazing not even metionig how beautiful the venue is. I would recommend them 100%. Thank you Mr Colt for everything. Truly one of a kind wedding venue.

DACOR Bacon House is truly a hidden gem venue in Washington, DC and the greater DMV area. This was actually our “backup venue” after our original wedding venue cancelled on us months before our wedding, and we can’t believe how perfectly everything turned out - we are glad that we ended up at DACOR Bacon House instead of our first choice! The house is extremely ornately decorated inside which took a weight off our shoulders in terms of decorating the space. The back courtyard made for a beautiful ceremony site and naturally transitioned into cocktail hour in the expansive space, as well as dancing at the end of the night. There are beautiful statues and greenery, and the surrounding area is very quiet (especially on weekends) and feels very private. We had our dinner inside in one of the most beautiful spaces imaginable. The venue also provided their chairs (for the ceremony and dinner) and tables, which brought financial and time savings. I hear they have great in-house catering (and it smelled great the times I visited and the kitchen was active) and prefer that events use them, but the events team (Sylvia & Meg) understood our situation having previously hired a caterer for our original venue and allowed them to use the kitchen and led the caterers on multiple venue walkthroughs to learn the space. The venue was truly so beautiful and I couldn’t be happier with how our wedding here went. A huge thank you to all the staff who made it possible!

We first heard about this venue in the comments of a wedding website post, and as someone who works at a local government-adjacent organization I was immediately interested. While we did check out some of the other county-owned venues, Rockwood Manor was perfect for our needs. The venue itself was gorgeous, and best of all it had a ton of on-site lodging for guests, which was important as both of our families would need to travel. It was also more affordable than literally any of the other venues we looked at, and we got a discount as county residents! I knew we were in good hands the minute I showed up for the tour - not only was Lucy an absolute delight as a guide, but she knew the venue and procedures inside and out and was incredible helpful in getting us situated. We decided to rent the venue for the whole weekend, and that was SUPER helpful as we were able to have the rehearsal dinner/Halloween party on-site, which saved us a shitload of time and money. On the big day itself, everything went very smoothly! With most of the guests onsite already we didn't need to arrange for transportation, and my now-wife and I were super comfortable in the bridal suite. Meghan at the front desk also saved my ass by letting me use the printer to re-print some last-minute changes to my vows! With a fire pit onsite we were also able to continue the fun with bonfires after each event, and Harry did a great job of keeping us stocked with wood. The checkout process was super easy, and we REALLY appreciated being able to relax the day after the wedding instead of scrambling to clean up and get out. All in all, we could not have picked a better venue for our wedding! The only caveat I have is that you'll probably want to hire or designate a wedding planner (or at least day-of coordinator) to stay on top of the paperwork, as the venue's administrative capacity is somewhat limited due to their small staff. Lucy, Meghan, Harry, and Sandy, you are all absolute rockstars and we will be forever grateful for your hard work in making our wedding unforgettable! Thank you so much!!
