I got my wedding dress there and all 7 of my brides maids got there dresses there, they took there time and worked with me to find the dress that i wanted!

I had a HORRIBLE experience at the Oak Lawn David's Bridal. The people who worked here were rude and extremely unhelpful. I called 3 times and kept getting told that no one could help me, they were too busy, and I had to come in there. I go there, and there's NOBODY in the store pretty much. WTF?!? I only had to add a girl to the list of bridesmaids and they made me go in the store to do this. It was a complete waste of my time. The girls also told me how rude the employees were and none of them had a positive experience when they went in to get their dresses, from bad service to measuring wrong and having to re-order dresses.

Working with David's Bridal of Oak Lawn was the worst experience of my wedding. I made an appointment, brought a list of dresses from their website that I wanted to try on, and was promptly ignored for two hours while my mother in law and I got dresses for ourselves. My mother in law is a teacher and had worked all day and they didn't even offer her a seat. I understand wedding shops being busy, but I watched our sales person standing and talking to another employee for most of our time there rather than help us.

My dress and hairpiece were outstanding! They were affordable and luxurious! Everyone told me how beautiful I was and that my dress was the prettiest they've seen. I have to agree. I love it! I am actually going to have a "Rock the Dress" session with my photographer because it is that beautiful. My photographer told me, knowing that I had chosen a Fairy Tale theme, that I actually looked like a Disney princess! She said that she has had plenty of brides to pull of the theme and don't quite get it right, but that I hit it right on the head! My mom said that my dress is the most beautiful she had ever seen, and also said she has seen a LOT of wedding dresses! My headpiece, a ribbon headband with a gorgeous jeweled piece, was not what I had pictured wearing, but when they put it on to get the full effect of my dress, I couldn't resist! My mom agreed, not what we had in mind, but nothing could have outdone it! I had all the staff's attention and they showered me with compliments and ideas. I felt like I was already a bride! The service was outstanding!

Had a bad experience

I went shopping for my gown three months before my ceremony. The staff was extremely helpful in showing me gowns that I could purchase off the rack. I am 5'2" and I usually have to wear a petite size, but I didn't want to push my luck ordering a special size. The assistant helped me find a gorgeous white wedding gown that flattered my shape and didn't need much altering (just the hem had to be shortened) and was within my very limited budget.

I originally found my dress at the Orland Park, IL store. Saw the dress LOVED the dress. I tried on several dresses before I found this one. I was telling the young lady working with me what I was looking for and she really didn't help so much. My sisters had helped her find the dress for me. Once I put it one..it was THE ONE...

I didn't like the service that was provided to me. I didn't purchase the dress that day. I instead went to the David's Bridal in Oak Lawn, IL 5020 w. 95th Street, Oak Lawn, IL 60453 and purchased my dress there. I had worked with those ladies before and they were soo pleasant and accommodating. I also had purchased the bridesmaid dressed there as well. I also purchased the hostess' dresses at that same location (and shoes). I believe had the orland park store, been nice they would've gotten all my business.

I went back to the orland park store once I found out one of the ladies who originally helped me at the oak lawn store was now working there. We eventually purchased the mother of the bride dress at the orland park, il store.

David's had what I was looking for, but I just wish they send their employees for some type of training when dealing with ethnic groups. If they are going to be in customer service..they need to know how to be customer oriented no matter what the color of the person!!

Dorothy and the girls at the Oak lawn David's Bridal were the best. We found my dress after only trying on two!!! I told her what I want and needed and she brought me exactly what I was looking for. Every fitting went very well and they even helped pick out the right accessories

My ratings are a little all over the place because I dealt with DB for different aspects of my wedding. I bought my dress and invitations from DB. I only dealt with the OAKLAWN location to purchase my dress and alterations. My DRESS was AWESOME! I loved everything about it!!!! It was an OLEG CASSINI and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it! The only thing I didn't like is that the girl I worked with when I purchased it in 2008 "Denisha" I believe told me to order my dress BIG because it would run small. I wear an 8 and honestly, the 8 in the store did not fit, but she suggested I purchase a 14!!! It was HUGE! Well, to make a long story short I had to worry with major alterations. Don't believe them when they tell you that the hem will cost like $45 and to take it in it is ONLY like $60 (I believe those are the prices) THEY CHARGE YOU FOR BOTH SIDES OF YOUR CHEST!!! They'll tell you its $60 on this side, $60 on the other side, and $60 on the back if they can. So, you're thinking "Oh, I can afford $100, but make sure you have extra money to cover the extra areas you'll need altered.
My invitations were BEAUTIFUL! I ordered them online during a time that customers received 20% their purchase and no shipping. Many people complimented me on them!
Flexibility is at a 3 because they'll try to pull the "you must have an appointment to be seen" deal. Also, I don't like that they'll tell you that it will take you forever to receive your dress and you'll get it like 3 weeks earlier than what they project. Overall, my dress made my experience WONDERFUL!

My overall experience with David's Bridal was awesome. I went online to look for the dress I wanted. Went to the store, they still had the dress and the size I needed. I was in and out of David's Bridal in less than in hour.

My dress was gorgeous. However the alterations were terrible. My bustle lasted all of 5 minutes and I spent the rest of the night holding it up.

Our initial consultant left David's Bridal and we weren't informed, so we had to call and reschedule a fitting. Once the dresses arrived, we were rushed to come na d pick them up as though they would be sent back! We didn't like that the clothes were listed online as only available in stores only to find out at the store that we had to ORDER the clothes!!

I had found my dress at a different Davids that was to far from my house to order it from. I decided that I wanted that dress, so we went out to oralnd park Davids, and I told them what size I wanted for dress slip and bra and the saleswoman told me no "that is not what size bra you were and not what slip you want" and refused to bring out what I asked for. I had already tried everything on and it was even in the computer but she insisted that it was not right for me. I walked out and went to the davids in Oak Lawn. Jamie took care of us there and was fantastic. I ordered my dress that night. I came in way ahead of schedule. The alterations department was ok. Nothing bad and alterations turned out good but was not impressed with the staff's attutide. The store gets busy so make sure you make an appointment otherwise you will be waiting awhile to get some help.

Was ok, always crowded when I went in there but I managed to get quick services. Saleswoman was very helpful when I came in to check out dresses. I managed to find my choice pretty quickly. Dress came in pretty quickly after it was ordered & when it was discovered that my veil was damaged I had a new one a week later. The only problem was the confusion with my bridesmaids dresses. Either they weren't in, under a wrong name or they refused to hand over the dress to the bridesmaid, although they had an id & authorization. Alternations were a little high but my dress fit like a dream. It was pressed very well, I threw my dress in the closet for two week & did not have a wrinkle in it when I took it out the closet.

August is a very busy month for them...But it all worked out

I bought my wedding dress on New Years Day, 2008 for my wedding in July. There weren't many people in the store that day and so we had a lot of service and attention. I fell in love with my dress ($600), but wasn't thrilled with the rest of the way the staff handled situations. They failed to tell me that the veil I picked out already had a blusher attached and went ahead and successfully tried to sell me a blusher veil...for which I have absolutely no use. They gave me my veil that day since they had it in stock, but also gave my mom another one when she went to pick up my dress for me. Upon realizing that they gave us two of the exact same veil (and only paid for one) she tried to take it back but the staff told her that "all sales were final". Even after my mom explained that she didn't pay for the $180 veil, they wouldn't take it back!! I should've looked elsewhere for my tiara and shoes because I feel that I could've gotten a better price.
