Vanessa's Modern Bride is a charming, personalized bridal shop. After visiting several shops with my daughter to find her wedding dress, Vanessa's was exactly what we were looking for. Lisa, the owner, is professional while also making us feel we were important. She listened to what my daughter was looking for and kept us updated with emails on the status of her dress. We knew we were in good hands. The shop itself is charming and intimate, shopping is by appointment so we were the only customers, another positive. We highly recommend Lisa and Vanessa's Modern Bride.

I found my perfect dress at Vanessa's Modern Bride. I recommend this store for a few reasons. First, Lisa is outstanding - she is knowledgeable, personable, easy to communicate with and offers superior customer service. Second, they have a stunning selection of dresses - designers I still haven't seen anywhere else (I shopped in Colorado, Ohio and Illinois). Third, the store is cute and picturesque - the store FEELS special. Fourth and most important - I found THE ONE. I loved basically every dress I tried on. Lisa listened to the feedback as I tried on each dress then recommended I try the dress that ended up being THE ONE and I could not believe it - it was everything I wanted and everything I didn't know I wanted. I have never felt more beautiful than the way I felt on my wedding day. Definitely include Vanessa's in your top dress shops to have your special moment with the dress of your dreams :)

Wow I went to these ladies just wanting something simple. In my mind I wouldn't look good in anything more the plain and simple. I walked i. To a beautiful show room with dresses that were beyond words beautiful. I didng want beads or anything I tried on my first dress which had some beads and it was nice but not the one. The next dress I only had it pulled up to my knees and I said this is it. The dress has beads from top to bottom. These ladies made me feel like I was the most beautiful person. I have low self esteem and in this dress I felt better then I had ever felt. I looked at myself I in my mind I said wow I look beautiful. These ladies have become more like friends then a dress maker. What they did for me that day was amazing. I never thought I could own a dress like this I will never own anything that is close to this dress and how I feel when I put it on. I love these ladies Vanessa and Rebecca. Thank you from the bottom of my heart you made my dreams come true in the dress dreams I didn't even know I wanted (the beads )

I was referred to Vanessa's Modern Bride by my Matron of Honor; she was a client of Lisa's 20 years prior, so rest assured that Lisa is an expert in the field, you - and your wedding gown - will be in great hands. Vanessa's Bridal Salon had a beautiful and eclectic selection of gowns. Lisa was absolutely delightful and kept the selection and altering process fun. Inquiring what type of gown/features I desired during our initial phone conversation, Lisa preselected some gowns for me to try during my first visit to the salon. I found a gown I loved, and purchased it on my first visit...along with a beautiful veil. Having many items to choose from in stock made it a much easier process. Our wedding was originally scheduled for June 2020, due to the pandemic, we decided to postpone until August 2021. Lisa managed our rescheduling seamlessly; even though it meant an additional fitting, Lisa did not charge me extra. I appreciate Lisa's professionalism and her upbeat and supportive attitude. I highly recommend Vanessa's Modern Bride Bridal Salon!

I had an absolutely WONDERFUL experience getting my wedding dress, a mother of the bride dress, and 7 bridesmaid dresses at Vanessa's Modern Bride in downtown Arlington Heights, IL. Their service is excellent, the dresses are gorgeous, and I appreciated all of the effort Lisa put into making our experience fun, easy, and perfectly memorable. All of my bridesmaids ordered different dresses, and each girl loved her dress! We had a tight time crunch to work with, and all of our dresses were altered and ready with time to spare! I cannot share enough great things about the shop, the dresses, and Lisa!!

I can’t praise Vanessa's enough for helping me to find the perfect dress for my wedding day! I had a hard time deciding between two dresses, and they were very patient and understanding. Amanda was great, everyone who came shopping with me absolutely adored her. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area looking for their dream gown at a reasonable price! My wedding was wonderful, and now I finally got a chance to review my vendors. I loved working with Vanessa’s to select my wedding gown, my best friend and I both got our gowns here, and we were helped by a different consultant both named Amanda. :) My Amanda was lovely, she was patient, friendly and helpful, she picked out great dresses based on my body type, even though they weren’t what I originally wanted, one of them was so perfect it became my dream dress! It even came in quicker than expected! Alteration with Barbara went smoothly without a hitch. That’s huge according to all my friends. Be sure to make an appointment by phone, that’s one thing I’ve learned by my wedding gown search from many stores, you can’t just stroll in and expect consultants or seamstresses to be always immediately available. Vanessa’s was great! I recommended them to all my friends in Chicago and now you.

I absolutely LOVE Vanessa's Modern Bride! I worked with Amanda L., and she was nothing but patient with me when searching for my wedding dress. She made it a fun and memorable experience as she sat there while my family would critique each dress - but when it came down to it, the dress I ended up picking was a dress she suggested...which was not what I originally wanted, but loved it! Each of my fittings were always scheduled based my availability, and I never had any communication issues with Amanda or the seamstress (who also did an amazing job!).

I found THEE dress here! I felt the most beautiful I think I ever have in my life in my wedding gown. I did not want to take it off at the end of the night or ever again for that matter haha! The dresses were beautifully displayed and the staff was more than helpful in helping my choose a dress that fit the specifications that I was looking for (A-line, lace, sweetheart neckline, etc.). I do not feel that you have to go to the city to get the dress of your dreams because mine was right here. :)

Hi All! I hardly write reviews for anything, but I'd like to tell you my experience with my wedding gown because I'm so grateful. My sister had her wedding three years ago and her used another bridal boutique in the area and it was awful! Her dress didn't come in until the last minute and she had to juggle her schedule so much to get it fitted! And she didn't feel like she got the support she needed from that dress shop through the whole process. I was so lucky that I fell in love with a gown from Vanessa's and the rest was smooth sailing. No stress for my dress! I loved it when my special ordered gown came in, and by gosh it was the right size(the sample was a tad small) and it looked gorgeous! There was plenty of time to get my ensemble together and the ladies at the store were so helpful, never pressure selling but patient with every detail. :) My mom and my sister(and her sweet baby) had great time at each fitting. We were out to the door all smiles and that worth a great deal to me! My dress fit perfectly on my wedding day, we had no trouble with the bustle(unlike with my sister's dress) because our seamstress Sylvia was so nice, and she made sure we learned how to bustle my dress with its eleven ties! I had my dress organically cleaned and preserved with Vanessa's and it is now safe in my closet with fond memories. This whole experience has been wonderful! Thank You Vanessa's!
