We showed up for my appointment 1 1/2 hours early and were met with a friendly "no problem" attitude. We were asked to look around while they figured out which consultant could see us and luckily we got Todd. He was awesome. From the very beginning he closely listened to exactly what I said I wanted and brought me dress after dress after asking me specifically what I liked and disliked about each one. Turns out, the first one he pulled for me was THE ONE. I never felt pressured or rushed, just genuine interest in helping me find my dress. He and the manager helped with suggestions on how I could customize the dress to make it more me and even helped find the veil. I would highly recommend a visit to this store. I will say the first impression when you walk in the door is that the store is a bit run-down, but the dresses were very nicely cared for (some other stores had worn out tattered samples) and the staff were excellent!

I tried on all over 5 dresses and purchased mine. I didn't want to break the bank on the dress so had a very strict budget and they had plenty of options in my range. I kept the dress on hold and went around to look at other vendors, but everything was way out of the range of what I cared for so DB it was. The only down side was that the 2nd time I went back to purchase it, my mother came with me and the salesperson went after her like a shark and she bought all these accessories that were completely unnecessary! Because of that, I walked out of the store with a petticoat, a bra, and a veil that were completely out of my budget and in my opinion, overpriced. So I got a deal on the dress, but failed on the accessories. Beware of the pushy salespeople!

I also went back for alteration and boy, was that a pain! Just so you know, they won't accept a dress if you've had work done elsewhere so do it there or be ready to have a fight with the alterations department - which I did. In the end, they did accept my dress which had a small bit of hemming done elsewhere, but I had to sign waivers saying that they're not liable, which I was happy to do.

I have to admit that I have heard some not so great reviews about David's Bridal in the past. Im glad Im a "figure it out for yourself" kind of girl. The staff was fantastic! The sales associate that worked with me was so helpful! Not only did she help me find the perfect dress for my special day, but she went so far as to recommend colors for the wedding.. and I used them! As crazy as my friends (bridesmaids) can be, they were very patient and friendly with them as well during our 2 1/2 visit picking out their dresses. I will definitely be doing business with them again!

I had a great experience at David's when searching for my wedding dress. The only negatives, were when making follow-up appointments for my bridesmaids/maid of honor to find their dresses, I never received a phone call confirmation - nor for my dress fitting (I had to call them to confirm). We did get a confirmation call on my bridal dress appointment, and the year before when I purchased my bridesmaid dress for a friends wedding, which is why I found it so odd I never got a call.

Aside from that issue, they employees on the floor and in alterations were great. My dress was perfect and looked beautiful on my wedding day.

The first gown I received had a flaw and the manager without hesitation said she would order me a new one. The dress was already in for alterations when I called them and asked if it could be ready that day. It was, without any extra charge. Fabulous. I was so happy and felt beautiful on my wedding day!!

We actually did business with 2 Davids Bridal stores, this one in Aurora & the other in Merrillville, In. The Merrillville store was aweful service, there was a particular consultant that was always rude & nasty with myself and a couple of my bridesmaids. Would not do business in that store ever! The Aurora store was better but due to their business it was hard for them to give 100% customer service so I would try again.

The only problem with their service was that they convinced my sister that she needed a bigger bridesmaid dress than she felt was needed. Then, when it came in, she needed massive alterations. They ended up costing almost as much as the dress had in the first place.

So, if you know that a dress fits the way you want it to, stick to your guns.

I found a beautiful dress at Davids. I was just a little disappointed because I had a new employee helping me and she didn't know very much yet. She was extremely nice, I just wish they had someone working with her to train her better.

My dress was beautiful and fit me perfectly off-the-rack, eliminating the need for alterations aside from hemming and bustling, which my mom was able to do at home. The lady who worked with me suggested several dresses when the ones I had liked online didn't work on my body, and eventually helped me find my dress. However, she seemed very impatient at times, especially when I was looking at the catalog to figure out which dresses I might want to try on. I did get a great price on my dress, though - about half of what I would have paid for a similar dress elsewhere.

Over all I was not impressed and if I had,had more time I would have went somewhere else.The values was okay for what you get but then again you get what you pay for..They had poor customer service but I can deal with many things but I was very upset when I found out that they don't supply wedding/bridesmaid dresses for size 18 and up well not in store which screwed up my wedding..but the icying on the cake so to say was when I asked to us a room any room to breastfeed my then 4mth old son and they told me I couldn't do that there and when I called Corp about the issue they denied the whole thing..Grrr

I loved working with David's Bridal! I had a great woman helping me, and she was very patient with my indecisiveness. (I liked every wedding dress I tried on!) I got both my dress and my bridesmaid's dresses at David's. I also had my dress altered through David's Bridal, and they did a wonderful job. They also worked fairly quickly. About 3 weeks before my wedding, I needed my dress taken in, and they were able to get this done in less than 2 weeks. They also steamed my dress right before the wedding so it was perfect on my wedding day!

The only problem that occurred was that when my dress originally came in, it had a stain near the hem. Immediately after I noticed it, they had figured out a solution. They ordered me a brand new dress, and they had it rushed so it was in the store in only about 2 weeks. I had plenty of time, so the rushing was actually unnecessary, but it was appreciated!

David's Bridal is a very convenient place to get you wedding dress. Leonora is the alterations manager. She is an expert and has a great staff. They have financing for a year and a huge selection. Open all the time. The one thing that needed to be addressed was the wedding dress cleaning came back with a few spots. Double check your dress when picking it up for your wedding and check it for spots. Give yourself enough time to have it cleaned again.

My consultant helped me find the perfect dress after only trying on 3 other dresses! It was a perfect experience!

i dound out i was pregnant almost at my wedding day-
went to david's bridal for help-
i spent 6 grand on my first dress that does not fit now- so the last thing i could afford to do was repeat that-
looking for something on sale- i found that the ladies were stuck up when they realized i was on a small budget-
and aafter trying multiple dresses i walked out with nothing-
a 17 didnt even fit- because it was the wrong style'd - i needed something that was a little free'er at the waist-
they justt couldn't seem to- or have time to truelly look for something to help me-
i then bought a dress on line- size 14- and had to get it altered smaller? who'd have thought that unless david's dressed run small!!!

I had a wonderful associate help me pick out my dress. I actually pick the dress she found for me instead of all of the ones I wanted to see. Very flexible, able to dye my shoes in two days!!

Our consultant was great. She was very knowledgeable and had great ideas to help make our day special.
