I had a great experience at Ann's Boutique. I had been to two other stores that said they had the dress I was looking for but they actually did not. Ann not only had it, but was so honest with me that she asked me why I was going to try on anything else - once I tried on the dress I was looking for, I wouldn't want anything else anyway. She was right! I bought it that day, and even got a hefty discount on it. The alterations process was easy, she gave my mother-in-law a discount on my veil, and just made my whole family feel like they were important to her. She is a real professional. I don't think some of her clients can handle the honesty, but I valued it and her 30+ years of experience was the expertise I was paying for. A great little shop and a great shopping experience.

Working with Ann and her husband was a dream come true. They were so helpful, generous, and kind. I felt an instant connection with both of them. I hope to stop by with photos from the wedding to share with them. They are very concerned that each bride has specific time with them which is why setting up an appointment ahead of time is really the best way to receive the most out of your time there. Definitely check out this boutique. They also really worked with our budget to make sure we received a great value. When I called Ann the first time and told her my budget, she said, "Come by. I'm sure we can work with you." I would recommend this place to anyone which is how I arrived here as well. Word of mouth is the best way to find a place for such a big day.

I got a beautiful Casablanca dress at Anne's Boutique for a fanstastic price. The dress I bought was strapless (which I didn't like) so Anne offered to add sleeves for me (which came out beautifully). The only thing I didn't like about my experience was that the dress wasn't ready until the Thursday before my wedding. I did have a lot of alternations and three fittings, so I understand that these things take time. However, the last thing you want to be doing three days before your wedding is picking up your dress. I think it should have been ready earlier, but Anne acted like it was no big deal. Also, I paid about 1/2 the price of the dress for alterations. Other than that, I had a good experience and would recommend the shop.

Well, this is a difficult mixed review. I will start witht he positive. I bought a beautiful Casablanca dress from Ann. I told her the price range I was looking for, and she didn't try to sell me a dress that I couldn't afford. She was patient with us, as I tried on probably 20 gowns until we made up our minds! She wasn't pushy, and didn't give her opinion until asked. She did do my alterations, and the gown fit like a glove for my wedding. Now the negative - I was unfortunately surprised that she never seemed to recognize me when I walked in the door. I know she has many customers, but between buying the dress, alterations, and picking up my gown and bridesmaids dresses at different times, I probably made 5 or 6 trips to the store within an 8 month period and she always seemed to have a blank look when I walked through the door. I would have to agree on the expensive alterations. I had ordered my dress to fit in length, so the only alteration I needed was around the bust/waist. That cost $350 - a third of the cost of the dress!! My bridesmaids also paid expensively - almost 1/2 of what the dress cost initially. Too much in my opinion.

Ann's Boutique did a fabulous job with my wedding dress. Not only did they accomodate my short time frame of acquiring a dress (4 months), they worked within my budget, and did a FANTASTIC job at fitting my dress. Ann and Faris made my wedding dress experience an extreme pleasure!

Ann is AMAZING!!! I bought my dress at Pronovias in NY and needed only a couple of alterations done (bringing the dress in slightly and length). The dress had a gorgeous lace detail which made altering the length a major task. A task I would not have trusted to just anyone. But having worked with Ann MANY times before as a Bridesmaid I knew she was the one and only person I trusted my wedding gown with as the Bride. Ann had the perfect eye for alterations and knew exactly what to do and she made my dress fit PERFECT and went above and beyond having my dress and veil all ready for me. She's so sweet and funny and just clearly knows what she is doing. I also worked with her and her husband for the Bridesmaids and Jr. Bridesmaid dresses. Even when the Jr. Bridesmaid dress came in as the wrong dress and size due to a manufacturers mistake Ann and her husband presented us with all our options and when we decided to keep the dress and alter it to fit my young Jr bridesmaid (which was a woman’s size 8 and the Jr Bridesmaid was a child’s size 8) Ann completed the major alteration task for her dress which ended up better than if the dress order had been correct. Ann and her husband also ordered and completed all of their alterations for the other 4 Bridesmaids as well which were 100% perfection. I am still getting compliments on how great we all looked!! Ann and her husband are wonderful to work with! Their boutique has a GREAT selection of dresses and are reasonably priced and they always meet their schedule for orders and alterations. THANK YOU ANN!!!

Like most brides, I searched long and hard for the 'perfect dress'. I had settled on a beautiful gown and was going to give my business to another vendor in Fairfax, VA. One day I decided to just 'peek my head in' when passing by Ann's Boutique. I am so glad I did! When looking through gowns one last time, I spied a great dress. I tried it on, and it was perfect-- even more perfect than the dress I thought I initially wanted. Ann (the owner) was very pleasant. I had 3 alterations there and also purchased my headband and veil from Ann. I would recommend Ann's Boutique without hesitation.

Ann and her husband are amazing! I walked in with a specific type of dress in mind and he found it for me in a heartbeat. He did not try to sell me something that was not in my price range. They were both very kind and patient with me, as I have a hard time making decisions. They also found the perfect bolero to match my dress which looked absolutely perfect in my church wedding. Also, Ann is a true professional with her alterations. My dress fit like a glove and got tons of compliments. I definitely recommend them!!!

I found my wedding dress at Ann's Boutique and I feel so lucky that I went there! They have an amazing selection of dresses and I was able to try as many as I needed to until I found the perfect dress! Ann also did the alterations on my gown and it's clear that she's a very talented seamstress. My dress had to be taken in twice (a whole lot) but it was done beautifully and you couldn't even tell! My Mom was having trouble finding a dress for the wedding so a month before the wedding Ann helped her find one in her boutique and she altered my Mom's dress to perfection as well. I would absolutely recommend Ann's Boutique to anyone looking for the perfect dress and wonderful service!

If you're looking for a beautiful and affordable wedding dress in the Washington DC area, go to Ann's Boutique. I went to several boutiques in DC and never felt comfortable with the salesperson and prices. A friend referred me to Ann's Boutique and I could not have been happier. It was a little far from my house, but I was really happy with my wedding dress and my experience with Faris and Ann.

My only suggestions are:
1.) review and get the alteration pricing in writing; and
2.) don't be afraid to voice your opinions during the dress fitting to ensure that your dress fits you perfectly.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Ann's Boutique and everyone who works there! They have a great selection of beautiful gowns in a variety of price points. They also have amazing sales! Ann does an awesome job on alterations and her husband loves to help dress up brides in veils and jewelry. They made me feel so comfortable and confident in my choice of dress.

I highly recommend this bridal boutique. I live in Baltimore and still drove all the way to Burke to this boutique. Ann and Faris were both so kind and extremely helpful in making all the necessary arrangements and alterations. I purchased the amazing Jim Hjelm #8800 Ivory gown and floor length veil from this boutique. Ann did a wonderful job on my alterations- my dress fit perfect! I ordered magenta bridesmaids gown here as well Jim Hjelm 5030 and junior bridesmaid Jim Hjelm J505. Everything was perfect!! It was a pleasure working with Ann.

Ann and her husband were both excellent to work with. I had been searching and searching for a specific dress. Ann's didn't have the dress and neither did any of the other 20 stores I called within a 500 mile radius. Ann's husband went out of his way to find the dress and have it rush shipped so that I could try it on, when no other stores were able to locate it (or even put in the effort). The alterations were great too and reasonably priced. For those of you who complained about your alterations, you just need to speak up and tell her what you want. There were tiny things I didn't like and she was able to address all of them.

The review should speak for it self, this place was just fantastic, Ann is very helpful and we could not have been happier doing business with her.
