There is nothing I can say about Angie that hasn't already been said. Her quality is great, she is a pleasure to work with, and her prices absolutely cannot be beat in the DC area. Since I work in DC, I made 8 PM appointments, but if I was early Angie would accomodate me as long as she wasn't with another bride. The next time I have a formal gown or bridesmaid's dress that needs altering, I am definitely heading back to Fairfax to see Angie.

Angie came to us as a recommendation by our wedding planner, and overall, I was extremely pleased with her work. I ended up only needing to get a bustly put in as the dress fit perfectly and my shoes were tall enough that I didn't need hemming. She was very fast, her prices absolutely cannot be beat, she was incredibly flexible, and she was vvery professional. My bustle wasn't exactly what I had discussed with her, though it still came out great. I would, and have!, recommend Angie to any bride that needs quality alterations at a fraction of the cost!

Angie Cavallaro was fantastic. She made a number of alterations to my J.Crew dress and did so with such high quality work. She was so sweet and kind when I was there and made me feel like the only person she was working with. I did not feel rushed in any way and felt I could spend my time considering options with her. She had some great suggestions for undergarments as well! She is only available during the weekdays, which is difficult for some, but it was not a problem for me.

Angie is amazing. She completely lives up to her reputation and then some. She did the bustling for my dress for less than half the price of the bridal shop that I got my gown from (I also think the bridal shop was overcharging for bustling). And she was extremely creative with how she did my bustle -- doing the layers separately and it looked really great (and it held up well at the reception). She also added cups to my bridesmaids dresses for a very reasonable price. She was such a sweet lady, I totally recommend her!!

Angie was absolutely amazing. She was completely professional, relaxed and calm. She's truly talented. My dress required fairly extensive alterations (significant shortening of multiple layers, removal of crinoline, taking a bodice with a lace overlay). Her work was flawless, and was a complete bargain.

Angie is amazing! She was so sweet and did a fabulous job with my wedding dress alterations. She did the hem and bustle of my lace dress, added bra cups and took in the top -- all for a very reasonable price! I had 3 fittings and Angie made sure I knew how the bustle worked, how to lace up the back of my dress, and shared tips for getting ready on my wedding day. She took photos of everything so I'd have a reference point on my wedding day (great idea) and her attention to detail is appreciated. She offered advice on how to improve my handmade veil and even gave jewelry suggesgtions. She does live way out there in Fairfax county (about 25-45 minutes past the Vienna metro, depending on traffic) but she is well worth the trip and schedules appointments in the evenings (even at 8 pm). I'd recommend Angie to all DC area brides!

Angie was friendly, accomodating, and gave great advice. She hemmed and added the bustle to my dress. She also hemmed and took in one of my bridesmaid dresses. She was extremely professional and completed all work on time. There was also some beading on my dress that had been ripped prior to bringing it to her which she fixed so that it looked like new! I would highly recommend her services. Great value.

Angie is as great as everyone says! Her prices are so reasonable, and she is the nicest lady you will ever meet. She had altered 2 or 3 bridesmaids dresses for me, so it was a no-brainer bringing her my wedding gown. My sister brought in her bridesmaid dress, too. She's responsive, flexible with scheduling, and really knows what she's doing.

I made a small tear in my wedding dress when I was hurriedly changing out of it after the reception, and I will be bringing it to Angie to fix! She's the best.

Angie was by far the nicest person to work with during my wedding. She did an amazing job altering my dress. The French bustle she made for me was beautiful and I loved how I felt in my dress. Thanks Angie!

Angie deserves all of the praise she gets on the review boards. She did a fantastic job on my dress. The bridal salon ordered the dress a size too big and I also lost some weight so by the time my dress came in, I was completely lost in it. It only took 1 fitting b/c she took it in perfectly. My bodice had a lot of intricate beading and lace that she had to undo to take it in but you couldn't tell at all. I got a lot of compliments on the fit! She only charged my $200 for all of her work. I can only imagine how much I would have paid if I used my bridal salon's altering services!

It's true--Angie is the ONLY one to see for dress alterations in the NOVA/DC area.

I bought a secondhand dress and took it to Angie to make some changes. She put a slight scoop into the straight neckline, changed the back from a zipper to a corset (including adding boning), added bra cups, hemmed two layers and added a french underbustle--all for $270.

She did three separate fittings to make sure everything was perfect, and it was! Don't both with a bridal salon, just email Angie. Do it early, though, because she books up fast!

I don't know where to start with Angie - she was AMAZING. I bought my dress online after only having seen pictures, and when it finally arrived I was nervous it wasn't going to be able to fit the way I wanted it, I even thought about buying a different dress - but Angie was able to show me how amazingly awesome she was and what she could do to make it fit me like a glove. I had amazing curves on my wedding day - which is a surprise since I have a very "athletic" build (read: no bust/butt). Angie even recommended I shop around for a "fake" butt - which I ended up buying and totally helped fill out the shape I wanted on my wedding day. Everyone raved about how amazing my dress was and I know it was all due to Angie's handiwork! She even altered my Bridesmaid's dresses and they looked amazing. She was super flexible with scheduling fittings (I had 6 of them because of needing to buy the special undergarments and ensuring they fit underneath properly) and always had wonderful advice that made sure I looked amazing (if I do say so myself!) on my wedding day. Not to mention how ridiculously affordable her alterations were - I was even able to pay for my Bridesmaid's dresses and alterations because of it! I definitely recommend Angie if you want your dress to fit you perfectly (and who doesn't?)!!!

I cannot say enough great things about Angie, what a nice lady and she does exceptional work! The price is very reasonable too! Angie made my dress fit perfectly and it looked beautiful on my wedding day! She was awesome to work with the whole time through! Highly recommend!

A gem! Angie transformed my strapless dress into a cap sleeve dress with netting, working to get the sleeves and back just right. She was always wonderful to work with, and she charges a flat fee, so even though it took 5 or 6 fittings, we weren't paying extra. She’s definitely far out in Fairfax, but the drive was worth it for the final product—my beautiful dress, which all our guests raved about!

Angie is awesome! My dress was a sample, so it had some minor damages and needed quite a bit of work done. When Angie finished it, it was better than new! She also made a custom dress for my rehersal dinner that was gorgeous! She is very sweet and supportive. I couldn't ask for more!

All of the reviews here are well-deserved. I bought a sample dress at Filene's Basement's annual sale over a year before the wedding, but then started to have some misgivings about my choice. I loved the bodice, but thought the skirt was way too poofy, and the silhouette maybe a little too young. I asked Angie to transform the dress into a more A-line shape, add pockets, and alter the dress to accommodate the 15 lbs I had lost between the time I purchased the dress and my first fitting. She also put in bra cups and a bustle. Any remaining apprehension completely disappeared when I put on my dress at the 3rd fitting. It was gorgeous, and-- more importantly-- I felt like ME in the dress. My only regret is that my final fitting wasn't closer to the wedding date-- as everyone warns you, I did lose 4 extra pounds unintentionally the week before the wedding, and the bodice gaped a bit away from my chest. But honestly, I doubt anyone but me noticed this.

Angie is also just a very sweet, nice person and I really enjoyed getting to know her! And her prices are just insanely reasonable.
