What are your tasting hours?
By appointment only, Tuesdays from 11:00-4:00, and Saturday mornings from 9:00-11:00 noon.
Describe how you price, such as by slice or by tier, for your cakes?
Brides cakes are priced by the slice. Brides cakes begin pricing at $3.50 a serving, which includes YOUR CHOICE of cake flavors from our extensive menu, cake filling, buttercream icing in your choice of color, and buttercream decorations. This price also includes your cake support system, tier separators, and fancy display board.
Does the price include the top tier of the cake?
The 6" top tier of your cake is free! Although it is included in your cake design, it is not included in your total number of cake servings. Therefor you are not paying for it.
Do you offer custom cakes, or do you work with pre-designed styles?
All cakes at Simply Cakes are custom designed for you, with taste and elegance, to your specifications! We have many photo albums of our past masterpieces, and model cakes on display for you to browse which showcase our work. We also welcome the opportunity to work with you to custom design your vision of Sweet Delight!
What (if any) special ingredients, such as fresh fruits or farm-fresh butter, do you use in your cakes?
Fresh eggs, milk and butter; fresh cream, fresh fruits and nuts. Peter's Fine Chocolates.
On average, how far in advance of the event do you prepare the cake?
We may start working on certain design aspects, such as sugar flowers, two weeks prior to your wedding. Your cake is baked and decorated the night before your wedding.
How many cakes do you schedule for a typical weekend?
We do two wedding cakes per weekend. We keep this number low so that we may keep our level of quality high!
Will you work with the client's florist to garnish the cake?
Yes! If you are going to use fresh flowers on your cakes, we recommend that you order these through your florist along with your wedding flowers. Simply Cakes will place flowers onto your cake at your reception venue at no extra charge.
What (if any) cake accessories, such as a cake stand or cake cutter, do you rent out?
We do not rent out any cake stands. Most reception venues may have them for you to use on your cake table. If they do not, we can recommend places to obtain them.
Do you offer delivery? If yes, how much is your average delivery fee?
Yes we offer delivery of your wedding cake to your reception venue. Delivery fees are assessed by travel time to your reception destination, $50.00 minimum. Simply Cakes offers Free delivery to all Colleyville Reception venues!
FREE DELIVERY is offered to any and all reception venues in Colleyville!
