First and foremost....congratulations on one of the biggest events in your life!  Secondly, congratulations of considering an event planner to help your dream come ture!  Deciding to hire an event planner is always a big decision.   What should you look for .....Someone who knows the area, the local vendors, and has a desire to see a dream come to reality.  Deciding to hire " A Shore Occasion" will be the right deciision.  I have grown up on the shores of Dorchester County, know the vendors personally, and believe that ALL dreams can come true!  If your desire is to watch the sun set overlooking the Choptank River, the Madison Bay, Chesapeake Bay, or even a smaller private cove as you recite your vows with those that love you witnessing the moment....I am the one to contact!  Remember.... a wedding planner does not control the decisions of your day...she sees that your day becomes your dream!

So often I  herar a bride say, "I don’t want a planner, they will take over my wedding and tell me what I have to do"......NOT true of a real planner...a real planner wants to see YOUR dream come true and works WITH you to see it happen.

              My suggestion is that  you meet with the planner and if you do not feel comfortable with that first meeting, they are NOT the one for you.  You have to connect with your planner.  Your vision has to become theirs and they have to understand that this is YOUR day.  Each bride has the perfect picture of their dream wedding, most of you have been planning this day since you were 5 years of age.  The perfect planner will guide you along the path, make suggestions, laugh with you, dream with you, but will never control your decisions!   The perfect planner becomes your extra arms, legs, ears, and mouth and wants only what you want....your dream to become reality!
