Additional Answers & Advice:
We use M.A.C. makeup products in addition to Yaby, Lancome, Clinique, Loreal, Sephora, Urban Decay and Mineral Makeup to name a few.
We do Hair Extensions, Airbrush tanning and makeup. Spa parties are available as well.

Avoid substances that could give you oily skin, swelling or irritations, such as red meat, alcohol, caffeine, and spicy or deep fried foods.
Remember to drink lots of water to keep you hydrated and to flush out all the toxins.
Avoid using Retin A and Alpha Hydroxy creams at least 4 days prior to the wedding day. They can cause dry flaky skin, and or redness.
Exfoliate your skin manually the day before your Wedding. Better yet have a Microdermabrasion peel done a week before. It makes for a clean palate.
If you can, have your eyebrows professionally shaped prior to the wedding day. Eyebrows are extremely important because they frame out the eyes.
Have your hair color or roots taken care of a week before the wedding. If you plan on cutting you hair make sure you do that at least a week in advance. It would be helpful to us if you could have your head piece or bridal veil available at the trial hair and make-up session.
Your hair and face should be clean, and product free when your hair stylist and make-up artist arrive.
Make sure you bring lipstick and powder with you for touch ups as needed. If you have the make-up artist with you all day, you should still carry those items with you.

WEDDING CAKE BLUES:

I’m on a never-ending quest to make your wedding day perfect. We expect wedding cake bakeries to be magical, right? But, can you believe it—some are not. Many just use everyday boxed cake mixes: Ducan Hines, Betty Crocker, etc., fondants and frostings that are ready made—and who knows what else. I know a good portion of your budget goes toward that once-in-a-lifetime wedding cake, so I decided to share this with all you brides to be. You may think you are getting the most fantastic cake in the world—but are you—or are you paying a small fortune too eat the ingredients that come out of a box? So, brides to be—beware, and aware—tell them you want to take a look in the back room to see how they make the cakes, and check out where they keep their ingredients.

I do however have some good news: I’m on a search for the bakeries that do everything from scratch. One of the first I have found even includes doing the fondant from scratch, which is a rarity. I went to “Cake Crumbs” in Encino for a “cake tasting” with my favorite wedding planner, Shannon Fleck. Well, not only are the cakes amazing and bedazzling—they taste as good as they look—not like a lump of butter and sugar, but real homemade ingredients. Yes brides, that is the key—custom cakes made from scratch for you on your special day.

Cake Crumbs is located at 17233 Ventura Blvd. Encino, CA. 91316 (818) 501-3918.
The owner John and Susan Rota are sweet and down to earth, which is also a breath of fresh air.
