Our florist, Jackie from Lotus & Lily, recommended Tara from Make-up Therapy for wedding hair and make-up after several trials with other hair and make-up artists weren’t doing it for me. I had a phone consultation with Tara and I just knew right away she was going to nail it. She had such a great personality, was so professional, and asked me such great questions to make sure she determined the look I was going for before I even booked the trial. Tara's approach was like no other studio I booked with previously for wedding trials. She actually took the time to get to know me on the call without even knowing whether I was going to book the trial. All other places just reserved the trials either online or through an email. Tara even moved her flight for a trip she was supposed to take so she could accommodate my trial and wedding.

Tara takes the time to study your features and makes positive recommendations and is truly an artist. She didn’t make me look like I had too much makeup on like others I trialed. Her hair stylist was also super professional and made such great suggestions based on different styles you show her you like. She even recommended a great shop in Los Angeles for the best hair extensions that perfectly matched my hair and kept my curls lasting all night.

Tara and one of her senior hair stylist also made my family members look beautiful and they were all so happy with their artistry! I wish I could have Tara do my makeup every day! Thank you thank you thank you, Tara, for making me look beautiful on my special day!!

What I learned was most important is that even though I am not someone who wears tons of makeup or feels comfortable as the center of attention, even though I was super stressed and nervous; on the day of my wedding I felt so beautiful. That's really the most important part. I smiled freely and felt happy because I trusted them and their work. They didn't make me look artificial, but I still looked and felt glamorous. It was dramatic without being over the top.

Definitely the next time I need my hair and makeup done, I am calling Tara.

Also, I should mention that I was really concerned with finding a team for all 9 of my friends and myself. We are different shades of Caucasian, Middle Eastern, Latina and African American and I was sincerely worried that I wouldn't be able to find a team that could suit all our needs, but Tara's team did it.

I have mad curly hair. Rarely can hairstylist handle it. Marisa did my hair once, I gave her a couple of notes and then she blew it out of the ballpark on my wedding day. It was exactly as I had imagined and she had enough of an eye to keep all of my hair in balance with my face and body (small body, big hair).
