Choosing Janice as our wedding planner was the best decision my fiancé and I made throughout the whole wedding planning process. She was the first vendor we ever booked, and she is worth every penny and so much more. We chose Janice because of her exceptional background experience and her willingness to customize a package that fit our needs and our budget. Janice is very professional, responds to emails very quickly, which was very important to me, and she’s just fun and easy to work with.
Janice started us off with a checklist every month that listed things that we should and need to do. Not only did Janice help us secure a venue, she also helped us find a DJ and when we decided last minute that we wanted a videographer, she tapped into her extensive network to give us some options within our price range. Janice helped us review all contracts we signed which was super helpful because sometimes we would miss details that we would want clarified within the contract. She also negotiated rates on our behalf and saved us thousands of dollars, literally. Janice always had our best interest in mind.
Janice was always on top of things and prepared a very thorough wedding day minute-by-minute timeline. We shared it with our family and friends and everyone knew exactly what was going on and when. The father of the bride was so impressed with Janice’s professionalism. Our wedding day was a great success and everything went off without a hitch, at least that is how we saw things. If anything did go awry or a miss, we didn't know about it and that was because Janice was on top of everything! We had many friends come up to us during the reception asking for Janice’s contact info, they were all equally amazed by the wonderful work she does. Without Janice, we would not have been able to enjoy our wedding and just be present in the moment. Janice is truly the best of the best, and we are so fortunate to have worked with her. I would recommend her in a heartbeat!

There is ZERO chance that we would have pulled off our wedding without the amazing work of Janice. We actually used her for two separate events - a traditional wedding with family and a reception for friends. Since they were held on two separate dates, we essentially hired her for two weddings. The amount of detail and planning that she put into our special day(s) was on a level that I have never seen out of any business professional. At first, we thought we had a handle on things but once we hired Janice, we realized that we were in way over our heads. She thought of things that we would have never thought of on our own. The pressure of everything was literally taken off of our shoulders which made the months/weeks/days leading up to the wedding surprisingly stress-free. You should see the minute--by-minute outlines that she puts together for the wedding and reception. It is ridiculous in how thorough they are. They were a huge hit with our wedding party. We highly recommend Janice - seriously, hire her already.

Janice Kim is one of the best wedding coordinators out there. We only hired her for day of services since i pretty much had the wedding planned out already. But, if i hadn't done all the work myself already, i would not hesitate to hire her for full on planning. My husband and i were very wary and critical about who we would hire as our coordinator because we had seen so many horrible ones in past weddings that we had attended. Janice was organized from the start with our initial meeting and we knew that she was a perfect fit for us. She kept herself readily available via email or phone whenever we needed her, even though we had only hired her for day of. She prepared the most extensive and detailed timeline so that nothing could go wrong. On the day of the wedding, everyone kept saying how smoothly the wedding was going and it was all because of Janice. She worked out any small details i had for the wedding and did everything so that my wedding party didn't have to work! She was always around when i needed her and she always has a solution in case anything goes wrong. Janice went above and beyond to make sure that our wedding was perfect. She is an amazing wedding planner that actually cares about you. I highly, highly recommend her!

Of the most important vendors you'll need for a wedding is a good photographer and Janice Kim Events. I'll admit I was at first wary of having any kind of wedding coordinator since the venue I was using had an on-site coordinator. But if you want to have a stress-free wedding, go with Janice Kim.
She channels her type-A personality into giving you a wedding that is so meticulously planned that all you have to focus on is having a good time on Your Day. Janice pays attention to all the details for you so that even the most control-freak bridezilla can just let go and relax. Janice's incredible organization means there will be backup plans for backup plans when things inevitably go sideways. She'll make sure the caterers bring you and your partner appetizers so you actually get something to eat, manages all the inbound requests from your parents or in-laws, makes sure there's a ladder waiting for your photographer to take a picture of 200+ guests on a stairwell.
And like all the other reviewers have said, she does it all with a smile. If you want to be at ease and enjoy your wedding, I'd highly recommend Janice Kim Events. Now if you could only hire her to manage the rest of your life!

Working with Janice was truly perfect in every way. To be honest, I can't even recall how I was introduced, but from the minute we started working together I just knew that my wedding day would be perfect. I never experienced even one moment of doubt when working with her.
Janice is the consummate professional, intuitive and proactive to her client's needs, extremely well organized and detail oriented, and a voice of reason who will ALWAYS HAVE YOUR BACK when working with vendors. She was also willing to be a great sounding board, offer advice and approach things with a can-do/problem solving attitude, and have I mentioned, she's proactive? Janice went above and beyond the call of duty on multiple occasion and is well suited to manage a bevy of personalities! Her personality is smooth and grounding yet she can manage a motley crue to stay on track and focused.
I always felt informed about and confident in the path she was charting and never felt anything less than assured. I knew that NOTHING would slip through the cracks, and my instincts proved accurate. She did an amazing job.
My wedding was in downtown SF for nearly 200 guests and Janice was perfectly experienced and poised to handle the pre-work as well as the event execution itself. And it was no small feat!
I could go on and on (as could my husband!) so suffice it say, I would book Janice early and do yourself the favor of putting your mind at ease so you can enjoy the real fun of getting married as you will not have a single worry if you work with Janice on your wedding.

ten stars all around!!! i will recommend her to anyone and everyone i know, who is planning their wedding.
our wedding was 350 people, and janice was unbelievably organized and meticulous from beginning to end. and she was just our day of coordinator!!! i was under the impression that a day of coordinator works the day of the wedding. janice was our month of coordinator, gathering all the necessary information she needed from even as far as two months out.
to be honest, i'm pretty damn organized. i have ocd and need everything to be in line with everything else or i start getting all weird about it haha. and i really thought i'd be able to pull this off on my own. and you know what, maybe i would have... but i do know that if i had chosen to do this all by myself... i would NOT have been able to enjoy my day. i had 1000% confidence in janice to make sure the day went by smoothly... and it DID!!! not a snafoo at all, mainly because she didn't tell me about any of it, but also because whatever little things happened, she took care of it!!!
she is on point, thorough, enthusiastic, professional and awesome. she was soooo good that we paid for her to stay in napa with us for two nights at the hotel, and we had her join us for the rehearsal dinner, and we tipped her. she was well worth all of it!!!

From the first email I received from Janice I knew she'd be a joy to work with. She kept me sane while we planned our wedding and her opinion and expertise are priceless! Even when my venue decided to go under construction 3 months before my wedding, she kept me calm and helped organize everything. My wedding day was a dream and I didn't worry about one detail as I knew Janice could handle anything that was thrown her way. I 100% recommend Janice Kim Events and hope I can work with her again for my future parties.

Janice is the ideal wedding coordinator! She was my favorite vendor and one of the best decisions we made for our July 1 wedding in Mill Valley. Before we hired her, my fiance at the time didn't really understand the concept of a day-of coordinator, but after the first meeting and just a few emails he saw how helpful she could be and was completely on board. Despite having a new baby, Janice was very helpful over email in the months before the wedding. She also made sure the other vendors kept on top of it before and during the wedding and was ready to avert any potential little crises, which definitely helped our mental health status!
Even though she's relatively new to weddings, Janice brings a significant amount of experience in corporate event planning to the table, and it shows. She made sure every detail with the organization and timeline of the wedding was thought out beforehand so we wouldn't have to worry about it on the day of. My parents and a number of the guests mentioned multiple times how competent she was, on top of being very friendly and unfazed by the craziness of our small but rowdy group -- some people thought she was one of our friends! Several of our friends asked for her info after the wedding, which is the best kind of recommendation. What set her apart from the other vendors (besides just being good at her job) was we felt that she was a "real" person that we could trust as a friend, and not just as someone that we were hiring. I hope we get a chance to work with her again in the future!

Janice was our wedding coordinator for our special day on August 21, 2010 in downtown San Francisco. We had our ceremony on Saturday morning at St Patrick's Church and had our dinner reception at the Four Season's Hotel on Market w/ 200+ guests. After going through the whole wedding process, let me just say that the most important qualities of a wedding coordinator are: 1) Being on top of everything to make sure even the smallest details of the wedding day are covered and 2) Always having a smile on your face and catering to needs of the soon-to-be-married couple that looks stressed out all the time. I am being 100% honest here...Janice was on top of EVERYTHING...and I guarantee you that she'll be by your side every step of the way. You can tell that she truly enjoys working with people and it shows both with her actions and her smile. This second quality may not seem like that big of a deal to someone that is new to the wedding planning process, but trust me...working with someone that truly wants to work with you and help you at all times is one of the best things ever! Some examples of how she is on top of everything...She had an emergency sewing kit with her the day of the ceremony. Sure enough, one of the groomsmen's buttons on his coat fell off 20 min before the ceremony. Janice was right there with her sewing kit. Janice also checked in with ALL of our vendors frequently (DJ, hotel staff, florist, the Church, Musicians, chair vendor, videographer and photographer) to make sure they were bringing the right things and would be at the right place at the right time. When you meet Janice for your first meeting, she has a long list of everything that should be covered and you definitely feel comforted that she is really on top of things and won't let small but important details fall through the cracks. If you ask any of the 200+ guests that attended our wedding, the entire day couldn't have gone any smoother. I also found her rate was the best out of all the other day of coordinators I spoke with. My husband and I highly recommend Janice. She is the epitome of organization. She easily orchestrated the flow of our very large (250 people) wedding with confidence. Everything flowed smoothly, and we didn't have to spend one minute worrying the day of the event; it all went off without a hitch! To top it all off, she directs with a smile and is the definition of a professional. She's also fun!

She has an amazing eye for style, she is organized, detail-oriented, professional, and is the nicest person you will ever meet. Hiring Janice was one of THE best wedding decisions we made, if not the very best because we truly believe it would've been a hot mess without her! We live in NY but wed in San Francisco and both of us worked way too much to plan a destination wedding, so she definitely didn't have an easy task. I researched and contacted a ton of planners, but ultimately hired Janice because she was the only one that consistently responded right away, was really friendly, and had a background in corporate event planning in NY. I figured - if she responds right away, she'll be on top of things, and if she can handle NYC corporate events, she can pretty much handle anything. Janice definitely didn't disappoint and was AMAAAZING! Her minute by minute timeline is enough to hire her on the spot. Our vendors and wedding party were really impressed. If there were any hiccups during our wedding, I had no idea about them because she handled everything with grace and kept us both super relaxed throughout the day. Our family and friends also LOVED her and thought she was the best wedding coordinator they've ever seen and have been recommending her left and right. Even though we hired her for day-of planning, it's not really day-of because she ended up doing super detailed planning at least 2 months out with all of our vendors. She's incredibly professional, amazingly organized, super friendly even in the most stressful situations and best of all, she made sure we ENJOYED OUR WEDDING! Every single couple we talked to before the big day kept telling us how stressful it would be and how we wouldn't even have time to eat. But, she actually made sure we had time to enjoy our food and have FUN!!! Our wedding was such a blast, thanks to Janice!
