Meshawn and the team at Perfection Unlimited were our Coordination team for our October 2023 wedding. We could not have asked for a better team to coordinate our unique wedding ceremony that was a surprise to our guests.

After connecting with PU via Thumbtack back in mid-2023, we spoke with Matthew who immediately understood the importance of our vision. Our wedding was held at the New Parkway Theater in Oakland, Ca. It started off as a friends and family screening of a short film (the Bride was the director, the Groom was a crew member). Then, during the post-film Q&A, we revealed to our guests that we were getting married right then and there in the theater.

Not only did PU coordinate a film screening complete with red carpet, step & repeat photos, food, drink, DJ and more, but they helped transition into a full wedding ceremony. Meshawn ran point on everything: rehearsal, procession, recession, cake, etc. Stellar team members, Angel and Rakisha, executed everything flawlessly. Angel acted as the special events coordinator, making sure our tech was on point (sound, picture, graphics, everything!) and she even made a reel for us to post on our socials.

PU was up for the challenge of our 2-in-1 surprise wedding/film screening, and they rose to that challenge with much aplomb. For what we asked for, they could've up-charged us greatly. PU made us feel heard and seen throughout the process. We wanted our wedding to be a collaboration between BIPOC businesses and creators celebrating what we can achieve when we work together. Thanks to PU for what they promised, perfection.

Our wedding was more of a cocktail party than your typical wedding. Meshawn and her staff were flexible and action-oriented. They did a great job lining up our vendors, setting up the event, and making sure it was executed properly. They were friendly, poured stiff drinks, and made it easy for us on our big day.

The Perfection Unlimited team made sure that our ceremony went smoothly. Even though there were a few hiccups, neither one of us got the chance to stress because they took care of everything.

The Perfection Unlimited team is amazing. I thought I could handle wedding coordinating on my own but hiring them as a day of coordinator was the best decision we made for our wedding. The team met with us many times to discuss our vision and what we needed help with. They even helped play our wedding playlist for walking down the aisle as we opted out of a dj. I felt like they went above and beyond what we were expecting (even ensuring we had food to eat because we were so busy interacting with guests). We recommended Perfection Unlimited to a coworker and they also had amazing things to say. I so appreciate their team and all they did to make our day run smoothly.

When I began making decorations for our daughter's wedding reception, I knew that I would need help. I searched all over for a Team of people that would help our vision come true. God intervened and I found Matthew and his crew of decorators!
Matthew, Meshawn, Stephanie, Angel and the crew worked SO HARD to create our daughter's dream Western themed wedding reception. Although we got off to a slow start, P.U. made it happen.
We had rented a huge venue and Hay Bales for our guests to sit on during the Ceremony and poor Matthew had to place them all by hand!
As the Mother of the Bride, I was too busy to take pictures myself. However, I will follow up on this website to show everyone the fantastic work Perfection Unlimited created.
