  Akins photography was recommended to us by the photographer who did our engagement shoot and wasn't available for a maternity session. It was a pleasure working with Akins. He quickly accommodated a last minute request for maternity photos for my husband and I. He listened to our wishes for the photo shoot and suggested several locations that worked perfectly. The session was a lot of fun. We received our gorgeous pictures electronically shortly after.
  
  We loved Akins lifestyle film photography, with beautiful natural light and lovely portraits and cannot wait for our little one to grow up to do a family session with him.

  Akins Lawal Photography...I cannot say enough good things about it. On my wedding day we had a tornado watch. The weeks after the wedding I was concerned how some of those pictures turned out, was even thinking man those pictures are not going to be good. BUT MAN when I saw a few shots I was speechless.   We booked Akins for a fall family mini-session and couldn't have been more pleased with the experience and the outcome. Akins is very professional, uber talented, and he's nice on top of it all. My two boys still talk about meeting 'Mr. Akins.' We plan to book again this fall.

  Akins accommodated us a day after he completed a wedding to grab some priceless family portraits at VA Beach. He was flexible and helped us grab some amazing shots with the natural backdrop of the beach. He truly has an eye for capturing raw beauty. Highly recommended by the Johnson Family!

  Akins Lawal has a very hands on approach, and makes you feel at home. He has a great attention to detail, ability to capture very candid, authentic photographs. He has really developed and excelled over the years and you will definitly be pleased with this guy. My first born son..you got him!

  Akins was by far the best photographer we interviewed for our engagement and wedding photos. We were never uncomfortable during our 3 hour photo shoot and had a blast doing it! Our wedding photos came out amazing! he used both digital and old school film to capture our biggest day. Not only did he get us our pictures in many formats (computer, disk, printed, book) he got it to us super fast!
  
  I know for the rest of our special moments, we WILL be booking Akins to capture it in his artistic, yet classic eye.

  Akins was a very warmth and easy going personality, which helped keep the wedding stress down. Although he is very laid-back, his work and approach to the wedding was very professional. His partner Mike was also very easy to work with and they made a great team. I loved the dual use of digital and film. The photographs captured the feel and vibe of our wedding and are wonderful to look on.
