WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY FOR THE CREATIVE SOUL AND THE KIND SPIRIT
so tender is humanity
so vivid are the colors
so kind is human spirit
and wild are the lovers
We wrote this poem when we were daydreaming about what we want to achieve with our art. It extends past our work into our daily intentions because we appreciate the marvelous vastness of human experience, the beautiful life we can live when we allow ourselves to be emotionally authentic and expressive and kindly allow others to do the same.
Everyone has passions that may be difficult to put into words and a mountain to climb that may be invisible to others. Our intention is to memorialize the essence of an existence. To show not only what it looks like but what it feels like to be you, here and now.
Compassion is our religion, kindness is our language. It goes without saying, but has to be said; we are welcoming to all denominations, orientations, beliefs and life paths. Our hearts are always open to the diversity of minds, amplitude of feelings, and unapologetic vulnerability.
DISCLAIMER: REJECT PRECONCEIVED IDEAS OF WHAT THIS EXPERIENCE SHOULD BE LIKE.
DO NOT GO WHERE THE PATH MAY LEAD, GO INSTEAD WHERE THERE IS NOT PATH.
Your wedding day celebrates the commitment to love your partner, to be kind to them, to let go of your fears, to be confident in your future however uncertain it may seem. Your wedding day is not defined by thousands of dollars you spend, color scheme, flower arrangements, or appetizers…. and neither is our photography.
THERE IS A LOVE STORY BEYOND THE EXPECTATION AND FEARS. WE WANT TO HELP YOU FIND IT.

We couldn't have been happier with Alex and Anastasiia! They regularly touched base with us before our wedding which made us feel that they were completely on top of things - and they were! They were on time, professional, and made us feel so comfortable. They did an amazing job at the wedding and we couldn't be happier with our photos and with them. Many of our guests said that Alex and Anastasiia felt like they were part of the family at the wedding and were dancing right along with us.Sent on 04/23/2020

We did a photoshoot with Alex and he was great! Easy to work with and very receptive to feedback. We scheduled one session with our dogs at Sligo Creek Park and we got some great shots. However, our dogs quickly lost interest and made it tough to proceed so Alex offered to do a whole additional session in another setting in the city. In addition to his flexibility, the pics came out great! We can't wait to share them with our family and friends!Sent on 12/27/2017

Best wedding photographers in the DC/VA area!
Alex and Anastasiia are so fun and easy to work with, there’s no anxiety when it comes to having our photos taken. I’ve had them taken my engagement photos, my wedding photos and also my parents’ 40-year anniversary photos. My parents were a little shy about getting their photos taken, but they ended up having a great time with Alex. They’re still, to this day, raving about how much fun they had on the photo session.
Aside from their soft skills of making clients feel heard and taken care of, their hard skills are what sold me: they have a gift in visual storytelling. The wedding photos I got back are vibrant and dynamic, and have captured the emotions so perfectly that I can almost hear the laughter and feel the love. Whether it’s posed portraits with experimental lighting/angles or photojournalistic shots that capture candid moments, the photos they deliver are just top notch.
I would definitely recommend So Tender is Humanity for your wedding.Sent on 05/24/2021
Team of So Tender Is Humanity
I was born in Russia but lived in the United States for most of my life. I was a photographer ever since I started forming memories, but it wasn’t until I met Anastasiia I realized that I deserve to fully commit to this passion.
WHAT ALEX LOVES ABOUT ANASTASIIA
When Anastasiia approaches an adventure, she does it with the ferocity of someone leaping from a cliff with no possibility of failure. The promises that she makes are iron clad contracts that are not to be broken. I love the way she looks when she is deep in thought, working hard on something she is passionate about. As if nothing else in the world exists. She also throws the best birthday parties.
I was born in Ukraine and have recently celebrated my 10-year anniversary of coming to the US. I ‘blame’ my bluntness and forceful nature on my culture, which has also taught me to appreciate what I have at any given point. Like the Schuyler sister I am never satisfied, but my restlessness fuels me to never stop exploring.
WHAT ANASTASIIA LOVES ABOUT ALEX
Alex doesn’t judge. He may disagree with you, he may even not like you, but he will never judge. He has this innate ability to relate to people and understand their experiences, and to accept people as they are. He can make friends anywhere. And he is one of the most fearless people I know.
Great working with this duo! As a wedding coordinator I am always hoping to work with pheonomenal vendors, and Polyakov Photography is a phenomenal team! They are absolutely professional, stick to the time but also give flexibility for any hiccups, they will ensure all the portrait shots and creative shots you are seeking will be covered. I recommend this team to anyone looking for a talented duo that is respectful of the schedule and able to be absolutely gracious to everyone they work with. Their photos are absolutely gorgeous, stunning and filled with light. They make everyone around them feel comfortable and relaxed.
