I was fairly laid-back about most aspects of wedding planning, but choosing our photographer was the one decision I approached with particular care. I wanted someone with a distinctive artistic vision and a clear personal style, while also having a thoughtful eye for flattering angles, beautiful lighting, and all the small details that make each image feel special.

Villa has exactly that artistic eye, and she captured so many beautiful memories from our wedding day. I have never considered myself particularly photogenic and often feel unsure of how to pose or take a good photo, but I felt completely comfortable trusting her skill and direction. She knew how to work with the lighting, find the most flattering angles, and help us look and feel natural in front of the camera.

I also really appreciated her professionalism throughout the entire process. She was easy to work with, and I also felt she offered excellent value, especially compared with other wedding photographers in the Washington, D.C. area. We are so grateful to have such beautiful photographs to remember our day, and our friends and family were also so impressed with how the photos turned out!

Villa and her team did an incredible job capturing the sights, sounds, and memories of our wedding day! Her vision of how to put planned photoshoots together and how to take more candid photos/videos were perfect for what we needed. She was very helpful in the preparations beforehand in making sure photos/ videos were incorporated in our wedding schedule seamlessly and that we planned a variety of shoots that were unique to us. She was very flexible as we extended our reserved time a few times and made us feel comfortable every step of the way. Would recommend to anyone who wants their wedding day to live eternally through photos and videos!

I had very high expectations for my wedding photos, and Villa captured just what I was looking for. I am so pleased with the work that she did, as well as her high professionalism and ability to get things done. Receiving the photos was very prompt and even the sneak peaks were amazing. Villa is AMAZING!!! We are so glad she is our wedding photographer. From our engagement shoot, we felt so comfortable with her. She has so many ideas to cooach us through. It felt easy and fun!! Leading up to the wedding, she was intentional about the timeline planing so we have time to capture the photos we want. She also brough her only paper collections for detail photos. Villa remained warm, kind and professional. We loved the final wedding gallery on so many levels! You will not regret working with Villa!!!

Villa was absolutely incredible. Her presence, artistic eye, and professionalism were evident from the moment I first reached out to her through the final delivery of our photos. We opted out of engagement photos as my husband really doesn’t enjoy photo shoots, so our wedding day was actually the first time we met her, and she immediately made us feel completely at ease. She scouted beautiful locations and found the perfect lighting. We had a brunch wedding which poses a challenge for a photographer with harsh morning light, but Villa came prepared and used the soft reflections and cloudy skies to capture truly stunning images. Before the wedding day, Villa was exceptionally communicative and quick to respond to any questions. She helped create a photography timeline that ended up being invaluable, especially since we were working with a tight morning schedule for our 10:45 a.m. church ceremony. Admittedly I didn’t fully consider the early timelines when I first decided on a brunch reception. On the day of, Villa and her second photographer were phenomenal. She maintained a calm, peaceful presence and guided photos with a thoughtful, artistic approach. She arrived early, was fully prepared, and remained discreet throughout the ceremony. Her turnaround time was also incredibly impressive in just five weeks! We were blown away by the gallery and will cherish these photos forever. I highly, highly recommend Villa for your wedding.

Simply stunning. After reviewing Villa Li’s past work, we knew she was the perfect photographer to capture our special day. My now-husband and I appreciated how clearly she communicated her photography style, especially since we’re the type of couple who need guidance with posing and creating those “wow” shots. Villa Li had no trouble directing us throughout the entire day and made us feel completely at ease. The sneak peek photos were absolutely gorgeous and only heightened our excitement to receive the full gallery. While her turnaround time was typical for a wedding photographer, we were thrilled to receive our complete set of photos within just a few weeks. We can’t recommend Villa Li enough. Villa is fantastic. We could not recommend a better wedding photographer. I loved that she came early on site to scope out the layout of our venue and think ahead of the types of shots she wanted to take. She helped direct us through poses when we needed guidance and felt awkward. And then she gave us moments to just sink it all in and be us! Giving us some lovely candid photos as well. She navigated the stressful day with grace. And over delivered on the final gallery. Her eye for the way the light catches and editing for a dreamy natural timeless coloring is impeccable. Please, please hire Villa for your special day. I guarantee you will not regret it.

Working with Villa was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. She is just the sweetest, easiest person to work with. She made us feel completely comfortable from the moment she arrived and kept the everything running smoothly and on time. She made sure we got every shot that mattered to us, including some incredible pictures with our camera shy groomsmen.
We got our pictures back during our honeymoon, much earlier than expected! They absolutely blew us away. Everyone told us that they looked like something out of a magazine. She captured beautiful editorial romantic portraits, and all the most important sweet subtle moments throughout the night.

Working with Villa Li Photography for our wedding photos made the day amazing! Wedding photos are something that we knew we only had one chance to get right, and thanks to Villa, we have a beautiful recap of our day. From the moment we engaged with Villa we knew we had the right sense of style and organization that would capture the moment. Villa has an incredible sense of style and ability to focus on the subject and the background for the perfect composition. She has an arsenal of equipment that can be used for any setting to help adjust the light and filters to make everyone look their best! During our festivities, we had multiple venues that we needed to capture and some of those spaces were in residential homes. Villa was able to adapt to each situation and executed the photos to perfection! We love looking at what she captured in the homes that was part of our day. Not only that, but Villa also adapted to outdoor settings and then back inside for the reception venue. We covered all angles with her! Throughout the day she was calming and worked the venues to get the best photos. One of the wonderful things was her ability to get the candid shots of our guests which helped us show what a great day everyone had!
Villa has a great way to share the photos and edits after the festivities. She is prompt and communicative even after the excitement has subsided. We were overjoyed with the final outcome!
