After portraits with her, my husband was taking family portraits and I had a moment to just visit with my grandma. I was pure joy and in my own world with Grandma, when I heard Lee quietly say to my in-laws "hold on, you've got competition." I had a feeling he was taking the picture that I wanted most AND I knew he wanted me to enjoy that precious moment, me and my Grandma- happy & together on my wedding day. I stayed in that moment and Lee did not disappoint.

• If that's not enough, when Grandma needed to lie down, Lee saw me and my dad navigating her up some stairs - not asking for help because that's how we are - and without missing a beat Lee stopped what he was doing, came over and helped lift her chair up the stairs. My dad was so impressed and told me later, "you picked a great photographer, most people would have said 'that's not my responsibility' but he just jumped right in"

Lee's been super helpful and collaborative since day 1. He really takes the time to build relationships and rapport with couples which helps capture meaningful and stunning photos. Our engagement shoot at the National Gallery of Art was amazing and we're excited to work together again at our wedding this summer!

Lee has been so great to work with and he has made the process of figuring out our photography so much fun! He really takes the time to get to know you before you shoot which makes it so much easier and more comfortable when the time comes (especially if you haven't been photographed before!). If your looking for creative, fun, and on point photography look no further! Lee is your guy. From the date of booking to the day of the wedding there was completely open communication. As a bride he gave hints and suggestions to help build a vision board of what I hoped for my gallery of photos for my big day to be. We had regular meetings to discuss ideas and determine timing for each set of photos for the wedding day. I had no idea just how much time was needed for each type of photo. But no worries Lee made sure we had time and attention to all the photos we wanted. He kept the day rolling and my husband, myself, and our wedding party had a blast creating photos with him! Lee Hickman, in our opinion, is THE BEST wedding photographer ever. He did our son's wedding recently and the pictures are magazine worthy. Everything from the settings to the poses to the mixture of fun and formal was art in its most exquisite form. From the very beginning, Lee was wonderful at communication. He got to know what I envisioned as the mother of the groom but most importantly, he took great time with the bride asking her detailed questions of what she wanted for months prior to the wedding day. Mr. Lee was incredible at communication, planning, and delivering the exact vibe we were aiming for (subtle gothic romance in this case). He was a joy to work with, and willing to make last-minute adjustments. He can give you a wedding album like no other, including post-production editing for extra unique ideas. His secondary cameraman was really good too. I 100 percent recommend.
