• I still can't pick a favorite picture that he's taken for us and we've had our photos for 2 weeks. And our event was 3 weeks ago!!!!
• We loved working with Lee and so did our families!
• Lee captured everything, and he's only one person!
• Lee is an amazing photographer and was absolutely the best choice. He flew cross-country to capture our commitment ceremony and was so chill about the arrangements and only had reasonable requests.
• He goes above and beyond photography and takes it very seriously when he says things like 'he wants to capture the joy and emotion of your wedding as it actually happens.' He'll do staged photos but he also never misses the candid that will make your heart melt.
• My Grandma is 6 days from her 98th birthday in this picture and I spent the year of planning praying she would be able to make it to our wedding. After portraits with her, my husband was taking family portraits and I had a moment to just visit with my grandma. I was pure joy and in my own world with Grandma, when I heard Lee quietly say to my in-laws "hold on, you've got competition." I had a feeling he was taking the picture that I wanted most AND I knew he wanted me to enjoy that precious moment, me and my Grandma- happy & together on my wedding day. I stayed in that moment and Lee did not disappoint.
• I not only have the photos I will treasure forever but the memories inside them.
• If that's not enough, when Grandma needed to lie down, Lee saw me and my dad navigating her up some stairs - not asking for help because that's how we are - and without missing a beat Lee stopped what he was doing, came over and helped lift her chair up the stairs. My dad was so impressed and told me later, "you picked a great photographer, most people would have said 'that's not my responsibility' but he just jumped right in" -

If you are looking for a photographer for your event, Lee is the way to go. We hired him for our engagement photos and for our wedding ceremony and reception. He is a clear communicator, prompt and time-conscious, and professional yet laid back. He was good with getting camera shy people comfortable in front of the camera and great with our dog and guests kids.
Lee listened asked questions to make sure he 100% understood what we wanted, and helped guide us to make it happen. He came to every event ready to go and with a plethora of creative ideas for good shots. I think he even adjusted some of our decorations so they would photograph better!
I wish I had more events just so I could hire Lee again! -

Lee was the absolute best wedding photographer you could ever hope for! From the early planning stage all the way up through the big day he was always available and ready to work with us on making sure we got the best wedding photos ever. He works with a passion and joy for his photography that is infectious and and results in some truly incredible pictures.
He also provides impeccable service with his short turnaround and myriad of options for cataloging your special day. On the day of the wedding he was so fun to work with and made our hectic timeline feel relaxed and easy. We absolutely can not recommend him enough and his work speaks for itself. If your looking for creative, fun, and on point photography look no further! Lee is your guy. From the date of booking to the day of the wedding there was completely open communication. As a bride he gave hints and suggestions to help build a vision board of what I hoped for my gallery of photos for my big day to be. We had regular meetings to discuss ideas and determine timing for each set of photos for the wedding day. I had no idea just how much time was needed for each type of photo. But no worries Lee made sure we had time and attention to all the photos we wanted. He kept the day rolling and my husband, myself, and our wedding party had a blast creating photos with him! I would highly recommend!!! -

Mr. Lee was incredible at communication, planning, and delivering the exact vibe we were aiming for (subtle gothic romance in this case). He was a joy to work with, and willing to make last-minute adjustments. He can give you a wedding album like no other, including post-production editing for extra unique ideas. His secondary cameraman was really good too. I 100 percent recommend. -

best decision we made was to book lee
We met Lee at a bridal expo and knew right away we wanted to work with him. He has become more like family. He took the time to get to know us, know what our plans were, and took everything we wanted and made it better than we could ever imagine. Our wedding photos are everything and more. Not to mention it poured and he got us outside for some photos between the storms (& kept me calm as the whole ceremony and cocktail hour were suppose to be outdoors). We had such a great experience with Lee. He was referred to us by friends who used him for their wedding a few months earlier. We wanted our engagement shoot on the Mall and even with lots of tourist and spring break, Lee got the shots we wanted, cherry blossoms and all without the crowds that were there. Our friends used Lee for their wedding and when we saw his professionalism, we knew we had to hire him for ours. He was extremely professional and responsive and fun to have at the party. He interacted with all the guests and made sure to capture moments with everyone. I am not sure where to start! My fiance and I met Lee at a Bridal Expo and knew immediately we wanted to work with him. We loved his work, professionalism, and personality. Good afternoon-
We are the Brown’s, now married for a few weeks. We would without hesitation refer ‘Weddings By Lee’ to our friends and family for any event that might require a professional photographer.
Lee was engaging from the start by wanting to schedule an in-person meeting with us early in our search for a photographer. He casually explained how he could support us in a way we could understand and relate to.
His decades of experience in a variety of settings, locally and internationally, set him apart from others we had met at vendor events and through online inquiries. As our wedding date approached, Lee stayed in touch with my wife, elaying her concerns and worries about most everything- a stress reducer he was… Namely because when he spoke, you just knew what he was saying was on point. For that, I respected him very much.
The day of our wedding he was early, supported by a second photographer he had worked with before, was engaging, and remained the professional lead photographer throughout the days’ events. Even staying longer when he saw the reception wasn’t winding down but more hitting its stride.
His proofs were everything we’d hoped for, and the early view of a few dozen photos came to us within 3 days of our event. Just so we had something to think about on our honeymoon.

Amazing Experience, Even Better Photos!
It was amazing to work with Lee for our wedding! It was super important to us that we select the right photographer, so after viewing his portfolio in depth and meeting at his studio, we booked him right away.
We were able to customize our package and meet with Lee several times before our wedding, which made the experience seamless from the start. The ability to customize our package ensured we had everything we wanted—from a 2nd photographer to a really fun Photo Booth!
Lee made the day-of experience truly incredible. He made us feel so comfortable, bringing us out of our shells right away and offering clear direction to capture amazing shots quickly. He also perfectly balances a fun, lighthearted attitude with great professionalism and creativity. He sent us our sneak peek album the NEXT DAY and I was ELATED by how gorgeous the photos turned out.

Lee has been an amazing photographer to work with. He took the time to meet with us on multiple occasions so he got to know us on a personal level. Ensuring we got the exact photos we wanted and felt comfortable being in front of the camera. When our original date got canceled 3 days before the big day he was understanding and rescheduled with us without charging extra or anything. Photography at its best
We meet Lee at a bridal expo and right away my fiancé and I were amazed by his work. We booked Lee a few weeks after for our engagement shoot and our wedding. My fiancé and I had such an easy and fun experience with Lee doing our engagement shoot. We were nervous going into it because we didn’t know how to pose for our pictures, even though we looked at so many engagement shoots online; but Lee made it so easy and comfortable for us. Beautiful Pictures!
We met Lee at the very beginning of our wedding planning process at the first wedding expo we had gone to. We were very impressed by his photos and albums he had displayed so we set up a time to meet at his studio to discuss further. He told us he does a limited amount of weddings every year and that his photo business is his main focus opposed to other people who just do it on the side. Once we had our date picked out, we quickly chose the package we wanted with Lee and signed the contract! We did an engagement shoot with Lee and he made us feel so comfortable during the shoot. He had our sneak peak photos back to us the next night and they were AMAZING, we couldn’t wait to see the rest! Our engagement pictures made us so excited for our upcoming wedding and all the pictures he was going to get!
Lee is very responsive and stays in contact with you during the whole process! He helped us set up a wedding timeline to make sure we were getting the most coverage between him and our second shooter! He is also such a fun photographer to have, especially on such an important day! He got so many AMAZING pictures, I don’t know how we are going to choose which ones to print and put in an album! He threw in the Photobooth with our package and that was something that really wasn’t on our must have list for the wedding but I’m so happy we had it! It was very compact, not a huge booth that takes up a lot of space and people had so much fun with it! It was so fun seeing all of the pictures!
People told me when we first started planning our wedding, at the end of the day, all you have left is the photos to remember the day by, pick a good photographer! And I am so happy we did just that by going with Lee! If you are looking for an amazing, fun photographer for your wedding, definitely go with Weddings By Lee, you will not be disappointed! -

Honestly one of the many memorable moments of our wedding were the moments we shared with Lee our photographer! The final pictures were stunning and captured all the moments Brian and I wanted. On top of that, Lee was there to calm my nerves! The smiles and the waves he’d give us assured me I was in good hands. The bridal party and guests loved him! He included a portable photo booth (not those giant ones that were in the way) which had the options for gifs or regular photos and were sent directly to our guests phones! Everyone loved it!! This man gets a 10 out of 10
We stumbled across Lee's work on Wedding Wire and decided to reach out about photographing our wedding. He was quick to respond and very friendly, so we set up a time to meet in person. After meeting in his studio, we were sold, and hired him for the job. He photographed our mid-May outdoor wedding beautifully, and turned around a gallery of hundreds of edited photos in about a week.
Lee is a consummate professional and super likable to boot. Our wedding was an intimate day with only our immediate families, and Lee got along great with everyone. Multiple people commented about how hard Lee was working and how he really seemed to know what he was doing. Ultimately, we loved the photos. Genuinely Fantastic Experience
My husband and I hired Lee to capture our September 25th wedding. From the moment he arrived to the moment he left, he easily guided everyone through what was needed for the photos. He was unobtrusive, efficient, and captured so many moments I didn't even know had happened. And the best part is, since he only shoots a very limited number of weddings each year, he is able to immediately begin work on the editing so the sneak peek was ready within days and the full album was ready in under 10 days! No waiting months to see how everything turned out.
Throughout the process from engagement photos through the wedding and beyond, he was in contact regularly making sure we were all on the same page with wants, needs, and working out all of the details. He made everything so simple, and I didn't have to worry about ANYTHING on the actual day.
I first found out about Lee at a local wedding expo. I was immediately drawn to his photos because they were so vibrant and captured some really great candid moments, but he was out of my price range. However, after interviewing multiple other photographers, my then fiance and I just kept gravitating back toward Lee as we loved his style, and he was able to really capture great night shots. We worked around some numbers and decided the photos are the one thing that lasts after the wedding is over, and wanted to work something out with Lee. He worked with us to create a package that, while slightly over our budget, included a lot of extras like the engagement shoot, Giffy Booth (seriously, get this!!), an album, and a couple extra hours of shooting. At the end of the day, it was so worth the extra cost! I received so many compliments from our guests regarding how great Lee was the entire evening, and the photos turned out beautifully!
One last thought on the selection process. I have noticed over the past 10 years or so, there is a trend for wedding photography to be super-exposed and almost washed out to get an "ethereal" feel. For some, that is what they want, but I personally do not like that style. I had a very hard time finding quality wedding photographers who shoot with a more realistic yet vibrant style who know how to use light and shadows to create the right amount of contrast. Lee definitely hit the mark for me. We also found that many photographers are great with daytime photos, but at night the images start to get really grainy and undefined. Lee is expertly trained and knows exactly how to adjust for the changing lighting levels as we moved from our late afternoon ceremony through the nighttime reception. If you want the more overexposed style, you may want to look elsewhere, but if you want fantastic photos with a wonderfully artistic edge, and a true talent for capturing special moments in any light, definitely give Lee a call!Weddings by Lee's reply:

Great Guy, Even Better Photographer
Lee was right on target with our tastes in wedding pictures. Most of the other photographers’ work we looked at seemed washed out where his photos came out clean and crisp with beautiful colors and contrast- his photos had much more "oomf" then most other typical wedding photographers (most have a washed out look to them, which I do not care for). I can honestly say I enjoyed my time spent with Lee. He is a fun down to earth guy who takes his profession very seriously. My wife and I could not have been happier with how our photos turned out; he was worth every penny and was fantastic to work with (also helped us coordinate our outfits!). -

Our experience with Lee as our wedding photographer has been amazing. His attention to detail even before our engagement shoot was impeccable. When we first met him, he had us take a quiz (nice keepsake BTW!) to get to know us and understand our relationship. He was available whenever we called / texted and answered our panicky questions with experience and professionalism (he even helped us coordinate our engagement photo outfits!). Our photoshoot was extremely comfortable, he not only knew exactly what we were looking for but also guided us expertly through the session - knowing exactly which locations to go to and what poses would be best. Lee also helped us get the weird shots that we wanted (e.g., posing with Corona beer and toilet paper) AND THEY LOOK AWESOME. Since our wedding is during COVID, Lee was very supportive and communicative about our situation (and was very flexible with us as we had reschedule our photoshoot many times due to COVID restrictions and weather). We highly recommend Lee and our experience with him has been above and beyond our expectations.

NYE WEDDING - best day ever!
I can’t say enough about how amazing Lee was. From the second we decided to work with him he has been so helpful and easy to maintain contact with! He was able to capture every moment of our day from start to finish perfectly. He even was ahead of schedule and we had plenty of time to relax throughout the day without feeling stressed. We received photos within 24 hours of our wedding and are absolutely in love! We worked with Lee for almost 12 hours on our day and he never skipped a beat! We can’t wait to see the final gallery. Lee was an amazing photographer to work with! He did our engagement photos and wedding photos and both were exceptional. Our original wedding was supposed to be in March, but due to Covid-19 was rescheduled for June. Lee called us immediately after we cancelled the March wedding and saved our new June date for us. Lee is responsive, caring, and professional. He went out of his way to make sure all of our moments were captured. Another huge bonus is that Lee only takes on enough weddings each year that still allows him to produce high quality albums within 8 days. From the moment we walked into Lee's studio and sat down with him to discuss shooting our wedding, we knew he was the photographer for us. He made my fiance and I feel extremely comfortable and his work is nothing short of amazing. We recently had our engagement shoot. Lee made the whole process fun, professional, and memorable. He even got our uncooperative 160lb dog to smile for some photos!
The engagement album we received is beyond anything we could have imagined. Lee caught some great candid moments as well as being able to help us feel less awkward in front of the camera. My fiance and I had a great time shooting with Lee in the Shenandoah National Park! We were looking to get full autumn colors in the mountains of Virginia and with Lee's help, we were able to get perfect photos. Lee is a very professional photographer with years of experience capturing natural and real moments, which is EXACTLY what we were looking for. Lee went out of his way to make our engagement shoot a perfect one, where we not only got beautiful vista views but we could relax and really enjoy those special moments, together. Don't look anywhere else, hire Lee!!!
Lee was by FAR our best vendor, he was absolutely perfect! Our photographer was the only vendor we decided to splurge on and it was 100% worth it. He arrived early and dressed professionally, and from the get-go he was helping out with setup, offering assistance, and making everyone smile with his fun and energetic vibe. Over the course of the day, there seemed to be 10 of him at the venue - he was everywhere we needed him to be and didn't miss a thing! He kept us to our timeline and was flexible when we needed a few quick changes on the day of.
Neither my husband nor I are particularly comfortable in front of a camera but Lee made everything so fun! He gave us clear and specific instructions that made the whole process simple and stress-free. All day and for weeks after the wedding, guests were telling us how much they loved Lee and what a great job he did.
We love how our photos turned out! He sent us a sneak peek gallery about a day and a half after the wedding and it was a wonderful way to kick off our honeymoon. We got all of our photos (about 1400 of them) back 11 days after the wedding, with a memory card of photos in the mail to us now.
We also got a promo on a .gif booth and added that to our package for $200. It ended up being really fun and guests loved that they could send photos to their phones directly from the dance floor. Our older relatives in particular had tons of fun making .gifs of themselves.
Overall we couldn't recommend Lee more highly! He did a fabulous job capturing everything we loved most about our day. -

Lee is one of the best photographers I have ever worked with. He always was on-top of us to make sure we got everything scheduled properly. The quality of his work is like no other and he dedicated his time to make sure you get the most out of your experience. He is timely when it comes to sharing the previous of the photos and you get all of the photos exactly when he said he will send them along. He truly stepped up during the wedding working with our event manager to make sure things were moving smoothly, which he didn't have to do. It meant a lot that he kept us calm on our big day. I found Lee through The Knot. He was one of the only vendors we had at our wedding who was not a family friend or recommended because they were a friend of a friend. I knew when I talked to Lee that I wanted him to be our photographer, what I didn't know at that time was how much he would help me throughout the process to be stress-free and just enjoy the experience.
Usually Lee works with couples for their engagement shoot to get to know them, but as my fiance (at the time) and I lived overseas and then across the country, we didn't even get to meet prior to our wedding. Lee actually went to my parent's house in the months leading to the wedding to meet with my mom and make sure that he was the right fit for our wedding. *Spoiler alert*......he was!
As for the photos, my husband and I love them! Lee was honest and upfront about the time it would take to get most of our photos and we ended up cutting some of our individual photos to make time for the more important family photos. He led us around, kindly directed us, and made sure that everyone was comfortable while simultaneously making sure that we got as many beautiful photos as possible! I especially like the candid shots he took and the ones of the bridesmaids and myself in my parent's backyard in our getting-ready robes. They were really fun photos that exude that professional air we were looking for in our wedding photos.
Lee also got our photos to us in record time! I felt like I barely got home to Arizona and we already had an email with all the photos in our inbox! We even had initial "teaser" shots within a few days and all our guests LOVED the photos.
We ordered a second shooter as well as the .gif booth that Lee offers and both were great. Our guests were obsessed with the giffy booth and that it actually sent their photos directly to their phones. Many people commented on how wonderful an addition that was. I especially liked that it wasn't separate from the dance floor, so instead of leaving the dancing and festivities to go into a separate photo booth, it was right there with everyone and anyone could join the fun! I highly recommend this add-on to anyone on the fence about it. It was a HUGE hit at our wedding.
On a personal note, my mom went into the hospital a few times in the weeks leading up to our wedding and Lee contacted me, told me not to worry, that everything would be fine, and if I needed anything, to just reach out. Truly an amazing friend!
My husband and I are so glad we hired Weddings by Lee as our photographer and recommend him very very much! He's a consummate professional and truly a remarkable friend. -

We just had our engagement shoot with Lee and can’t wait for him to shoot our wedding. He was both professional and fun, a difficult combination to find. Lee made us feel so comfortable, which helped our personalities really shine through. He even got so so many genuine smiles out of my fiance, I was SO pleasantly shocked.
I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a photographer. I loved that Lee incorporated all the photo inspos I found on Pinterest and was able to guide us for both posed pictures and candid ones.
I could go on and on about how much fun it was to work with Lee but I’ll sum up his top traits: amazing photo quality, puts you at ease in front of the camera, really flexible (I had a makeup disaster the morning of and texted him to shift our time), never rushes you, incorporates any look you want to try, amazingly reasonably priced, fast turn around time, knowledgeable (I ran outfit ideas by him for advice on colors and looks).
Lee is an amazing photographer, I’m so happy he was recommended to us by a family friend. After interviewing several others, we booked him the first day we met him (yes, his personality is that good!)Weddings by Lee's reply:

I can’t say enough amazing things about Lee! He’s a truly talented photographer, but what makes him such a wonderful wedding photographer is his passion to make your day as special as possible. His attention to details and suggestions to keep you prepared for any situation is so helpful during the planning process. I’m not one to cry but when I saw our wedding pictures it bought tears to my eyes. Lee captured the true happiness we had that day. The pictures are amazing. For more details of our experience with Lee please read my husband’s review below: In March 2018 when we narrowed our choices of photographer down to three based on previous reviews, Lee was the first to email us back. He offered to meet us in person and go over a few things. He was extremely very friendly and asked a lot of questions to get to know us. Questions like how we met, what kinds of things do we like to do as well as other questions. It was if he wanted to be friends and not just a hired photographer. He then explained what kinds of places make for good engagement photos. Suggested bringing some sort of props like a hat or a funny sign or whatever else we would like to have in our photos. He explained the benefits of a second photographer for the wedding day as well as a very rough idea of how that day would go in terms of him taking pictures of everyone getting ready at the hotel, then at the church before and after the ceremony then finally at the reception.
My favorite and most exciting part was when he pulled out different photo albums for us to see. That's the first time I realized we would have something very special as a keepsake. The different styles of albums were all very stylish and amazing looking.
Lee was in constant contact with us leading up to the wedding day in December 2018. Lee gave us a timeline of when he would be doing what types of photos and when his second photographer would be showing up and what photos he would be taking.
When the big day came. He was on time, in a very good mood and kept me (the groom) calm and very relaxed. Even though it was a rainy day he found ways to still take photos outside as well as in different parts of the hotel. At the church Lee and Chris (second photographer) were again easy to work with. We didn't have to say a word. They knew where to be to get the perfect shots while not being in the way at all. After the ceremony Lee was willing to take as many photos with different family members or full family shots as we asked. Never was he in a hurry.
At the reception we never noticed him or the second photographer. But after getting all of the photos again within a couple of weeks, we realized they must have been all over the place as they got some great candid shots of everyone in attendance as well as shots of the important things like the introductions, dances, cake cutting and speeches. Again we were amazed at the photos from that day.
All in all Lee was PERFECT! From the first day we talked on the phone to saying goodnight at the reception. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The only thing left to do now is pick out our favorite wedding day photos and the album for him to put it all together. We just know that will be his final perfect touch to our perfect day.

Intimate San Francisco elopement
We cannot say enough great things about our experience with Weddings by Lee. Planning to elope, we knew that we had to capture the essence of our small intimate ceremony so that we could share the sentiment with our family and friends after the fact. We also wanted a photographer to spend the entire weekend with us capturing the candid moments, not just the traditional posed shots. We are so delighted that Lee was agreeable to us flying him to San Francisco to join our journey, even though he is based in DC. The photos are simply amazing, stunning and touching. He's so supportive, energetic, creative, and effortlessly fun. The quality of his time and photos are worth every cent and then some.
