Erin, David, and their entire team are the BEST! We cannot recommend them highly enough- hiring them to cater our wedding was one of the best decisions we made during wedding planning. They curated a perfect menu for us full of fresh seasonal dishes, and we had tons of guests comment that it was the best meal they had ever had at a wedding. Erin & David also gave us the opportunity to do an intimate menu tasting with our families a few months prior to our wedding to choose our final menu, which was such a special experience. My husband and I still talk about how amazing the food was, and how grateful we are to have worked with Friends & Neighbors. Truly- cannot say enough good things!

Black Eyed Susan took care of everything we needed for our catering and bartending on the day of our wedding. All the food was cooked on site so everything was super fresh. They had amazing appetizers for our cocktail hour. The mashed potatoes with leek butter at dinner was the biggest hit!!!!

Middle of the Island absolutely lived up to their reputation and was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding reception. As Wilmington locals, we had heard for years that Middle of the Island was one of the area's premier caterers, and after working with them ourselves, we completely understand why they have earned such an outstanding reputation. The process was incredibly easy from start to finish. We attended a tasting at their location and were immediately impressed by both the quality of the food and the professionalism of the team. Everything we sampled was delicious, and the tasting made it easy to narrow down our selections for the reception. One thing that initially surprised us was that they do not use traditional contracts or deposits. At first, that felt a little unusual simply because it differs from how many wedding vendors operate. However, we quickly learned that this is their standard business practice, and once we were on their schedule, everything was handled smoothly and professionally. They communicated clearly, answered our questions, and gave us complete confidence that our reception was in good hands. For our reception, we selected a buffet featuring several of their wedding favorites, and the food was outstanding. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, beautifully prepared, and exactly what we hoped for. One of the biggest guest favorites was the seafood pasta. It was absolutely incredible and disappeared so quickly that there weren't any leftovers. Guests were still talking about it after the wedding and making trips back to the buffet for second helpings. Another standout was the corn hash, which was packed with flavor and quickly became one of our personal favorites. And the roast beef was exceptional—so much so that my husband is still talking about how delicious it was weeks after the wedding. What impressed us most was that the quality never felt like "wedding food." Every dish tasted like something you would order at a great restaurant. The food was hot, fresh, and served at exactly the right temperature. Our guests genuinely enjoyed the meal, and it showed. We watched people return for seconds throughout the evening, which is always a great sign when you're hosting a wedding. The catering staff was fantastic. They were professional, friendly, organized, and efficient. They arrived on time, handled setup seamlessly, kept everything looking beautiful throughout service, and worked hard to ensure our guests had a wonderful experience. Their professionalism allowed us to enjoy our reception without worrying about any of the logistics. As a couple planning a wedding, one of the greatest gifts a vendor can give you is confidence. Middle of the Island gave us exactly that. We knew the food would be excellent, we knew our guests would be well taken care of, and they delivered on every promise. We received countless compliments on the meal, and several guests specifically asked who our caterer was because they enjoyed the food so much. If you're planning a wedding or special event in the Wilmington area, Middle of the Island deserves every bit of the reputation they have built. The food is exceptional, the staff is wonderful, and the entire experience was seamless from beginning to end. We would happily recommend them to anyone looking for incredible food and outstanding service for their event. One word, DELICIOUS! They have so many yummy options on their menu it was hard to narrow it down. Luckily, we got to go in for a tasting and got to try our options for our wedding and then some. The tasting helped us solidify what we wanted to order. Usually, I am not overly impressed with buffet style food at weddings. This was entirely different! We got comments all night about how good the food was and even today (several days later), are still getting people telling us how great the food was. Would definitely recommend ART for all your catering needs.

Choosing a caterer was initially overwhelming as some were full service providing linens, dishes, and more…others were a la cart! Prices were also overwhelming and then add the bar too! We had such a positive experience with Visions Catering from Greensboro and they prepared everything with excellence! They provided everything we needed and more for such a great price too! They have been in business a very long time and knkw what they are doing. They have a big team so were able to handle all the details professionally and successfully!

Red sky recently catered our wedding in the outer banks and everything was excellent. Besides the food itself being phenomenal, multiple guests told us that passed apps were there whenever they turned around. Red sky also worked with us to make a custom starter salad which has gotten just as many compliments as the actual meal itself. And lastly, they happily took over service of our desserts which included heating up individual butter cakes that came all the way from DC and serving them with a scoop of ice cream and raspberry sauce. Exceptional food, exceptional service, and just overall incredible team!

Ricky was very pleasant and accommodating, and the food was delicious! He catered our family reunion and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend him.

You know how everyone always says "nobody remembers the food at weddings"? That was not the case with Cannon Catering. Everyone remembered the food at our wedding. Our guests talked about how great the food was well after the wedding day. Just thinking about their mushroom puffs, mashed potatoes and chicken, I can taste it. Cannon was fantastic. Letting us do drop-and-chill with our beer/wine was a game changer. They had a big plate of food waiting for us at our table and were on top of it when it came to drinks. Not only that but their people were fantastic. Everybody loved the bartender. He was a fan favorite. We heard over and over again how much fun he was, how he got into conversations with guests. Canon made our day so special. Highly highly highly recommend.
