The bride and groom knew from the beginning that they wanted barbecue, and The Smoke Pit was an excellent choice. Having been to receptions where the food was subpar, we wanted the food to be something guests would enjoy. Alan at The Smoke Pit was wonderful to work with from the very beginning. The initial meeting allowed for a tasting of popular meat and sides, provided lots of information, and answered any questions. He was so pleasant to work with and quick and helpful answering all my emails. It was evident in our communication that he was going to do everything he could to make sure the reception buffet was exactly what we wanted and ran smoothly. Having a bartender we could use was also so helpful. The food was absolutely delicious and all of our guests continue to rant and rave about how good it all was. Everything seemed to run smoothly and any issues that needed addressing were handled promptly and professionally. It was the perfect and highly praised choice for a mostly Southern crowd who eat a lot of bbq!

I cannot say enough good things about The Smoke Pit. From the moment we arrived at our FREE tasting Alan was extremely professional and outlined the entire process for weddings, answering questions we wouldn't have even thought to ask. The tasting sampled almost their entire menu and was all delicious. The day of the wedding, the food was excellent and there were plenty of leftovers. The next day my family was raving about the food and service, especially the chicken and even ate some of the leftovers that morning! Some even said it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. If you are looking for professionality, great value and excellent food, LOOK NO FURTHER!!

We had the Smoke Pit cater our wedding. Everything they offer is delicious. We had the hardest time narrowing down the options to go with because it was all SO GOOD! Our guest kept telling us how it was the best wedding food they’ve had.

We had the smoke pit catered for our wedding and I can’t say enough when it comes to how happy we are with the service we received. The staff were EXTREMELY attentive, and made sure that everything was perfect for me and my husband the whole night. The food was off the charts amazing and the guests were raving over every single food item. The desserts were also out of this world.
On top of having the best service and food, there was enough food left at the end of the night that the guests were able to take food to go AND we had plenty to go home with us as well. I can’t thank them enough for making the experience the best we could have asked for and more.

We LOVED having The Smoke Pit as our caterer and bartenders. The initial tasting was really fun, and we went home with a lot of delicious food! You really cannot beat the price, the taste, or the service. Alan, the catering director, was so communicative through the entire process. Our guests were RAVING about the food, and The Smoke Pit provided plenty of food so that we were lucky enough to be able to save some leftovers, even with people grabbing seconds!

The smoke pit had the best food and everyone at my wedding made sure we all knew that!! They were so amazing and so nice and I couldn’t have asked for a better caterer!! If you’re having a wedding in NC I 100% recommend! Thank you guys!!

You may know that the food at the smoke pit is incredible, so it was an easy choice and not a surprise that it tasted amazing! But beyond that, the service was absolutely amazing! Our servers went above and beyond, interacting with guests, offering to get me and my husband drinks and plates without us moving, and even cleaning up for the venue! They separated extra plates for a few of our guests who were running late due to a car accident and bagged/boxed up all extra food for us to take home at the end of the event! We forgot our own dessert plates and they offered their own even though I had intentionally not paid for them to bring extras. Overall it was an amazing experience, they were wonderful to work with, and my entire wedding guest list was raving about the wonderful boys who served us!!

Alan was amazing to work with! He was timely, professional, and worked with us when it came to our budget. The food was... AMAZING! Our friends and family couldn't stop talking about how yummy the food was. Especially the brisket! We are so glad we went with Smoke Pitt, and would recommend them to everyone!!!
