Hey Brides, Do you have high expectations and visions of your wedding day? Well Red Sky's is even HIGHER. I'm still on cloud 9 from our October Wedding at the Whalehead Club catered by the one and only Red Sky Team.

Totally check them out at the wedding expo as you plan your event. The Red Sky team just blew me away, and I'm actually sad it's over. We had a tasting on the beach for our wedding and this was an experience of its own over at NC Coast; I can't wait to go back and enjoy. Each face in the restaurant is so warm and inviting, the views right on the water, the smell of crab cakes... it doesn't get much better. But yes it does! Wait till the team comes out with your board the day of your wedding tasting, for the tasting to see what a taste of the beach looks and tastes like. Something to accommodate each of your guests and the ones with dietary restrictions, they make them even feel special: "Hey vegans!"

We also threw in a welcome party and Red Sky was able to accommodate this as well. Sweet and smoky shrimp, asiago artichoke dip (people are still talking), a bountiful charcuterie board. At the welcome party when the Red Sky team arrived, it was a top-notch experience! Bartenders Wes and James just swooped in and said, "2 hours right?" Yes! "Oh that's great," and set up a big bar around the pool, icing down all of our wine and spirits (we brought our own). Made it an official event even though this was me piecing together a party around a pool: just a big ol' welcome party!! Meanwhile, the rest of the team was carefully putting together the display for heavy apps for our large welcome party, setting up the simple yet elegant disposable tableware/utensils for a smooth buffet of apps. Even the forks were carefully individually placed! OK, this was not my expectation; they did it because they truly wanted to. When you hire Red Sky, you are also hiring a staff that has been vetted. They are truly KIND, there to help your guests with a smile, HARDWORKING, and funny to say, all GOOD LOOKING! Clean up was easy and they packed up in no time organizing the space. WOW.

Wedding Day! We are talking apps that please the crowd right off the get: bacon-wrapped local scallops from Wanchese, spring rolls a hit for everyone (get them!), and the famous crab cakes by Wes and team with sriracha aioli. AHHH I'm drooling. After the ceremony they ensured Alan, my now husband, and I had plenty of apps, and we knew our guests were relaxing with water views already enjoying cocktail hour with the Red Sky team and passed apps.

Dinner service was amazing. We have received notes back here in Raleigh ("Red Sky knows shrimp and grits," "Dinner was phenomenal"). Plenty of food, more and more, and the hot beignets... I mean COME ON!! Our menu included mahi-mahi with mango salsa, perfectly cooked beef with chimichurri, shrimp and grits, Caesar salad, and roasted veggies so delish with feta. For our wedding I wanted people to feel the taste of the beach and how the experience is unlike anywhere else. Red Sky knows weddings, they know what to expect, they know guests, and they know good food.

It helps to work with good people, too. I mean, this is your wedding, let's make it fun! Alexis, Senior Sales Catering Manager, serves with a smile and treats you as if you are her only event, and as a Corporate Event planner I know this is not standard practice. I am so glad Red Sky found her; she is the face of the wedding business and she delivers, communicating through email and somehow always soothing my questions when I was like "Are we able to even do this?!"

Jackie, the Lead! I knew I was in good hands as soon as I heard. Jackie has an experienced background with top chefs, knows the Outer Banks like the back of her hand, and represents Red Sky and your event as if it were her OWN.

I wish I could have seen all of the staff in their tent working away, but I was too busy on the dance floor soaking everything in. I did however see one catering staff skipping in happiness from the catering tent to ours, almost having the time of his life working between tables. He looked as though he was truly enjoying yet grinding at the same time for our guests. Chefs displayed food on their buffet table set up, staff hand-poured wine for guests... the night was enchanting and I'll never forget it.

Thank you Chef Wes, thank you Alexis, thank you Jackie, thank you Red Sky team! I need each of your names. I see you and wishing you the best continued wedding season! We will be seeing you at the restaurant to relive this day as close as we can. God bless!

Red Sky and Alexis were extremely helpful in the planning phase of the wedding, met with us a couple of times and talked through all of our options with us ahead of time. The head chef Wes also gave us his recommendations for our crowd size and crowd pleasers. They were flexible and very knowledgeable. They even accommodated the full wedding to my wife's soy allergy and were great in highlighting our options for her and all our other guests with dietary restrictions. On the actual wedding day, boy did they deliver. The service was timely to where everyone got their food, the bartenders were legit, and most importantly the food was delicious. We have had numerous guests rave that it was the best 'wedding food' they had ever had, because it is more than that, a delicious restaurant that they have perfected on the road. They even held Hors d'Oeuvre's for us because we couldn't have any with wedding photos going on. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Red Sky Catering exceeded every expectation. The food was exceptional—beautifully presented, delicious, and one of the highlights of our wedding. Our guests are still talking about it! The bartending service was equally outstanding, with friendly, professional bartenders who kept everything running seamlessly throughout the evening.

Red sky recently catered our wedding in the outer banks and everything was excellent. Besides the food itself being phenomenal, multiple guests told us that passed apps were there whenever they turned around. Red sky also worked with us to make a custom starter salad which has gotten just as many compliments as the actual meal itself. And lastly, they happily took over service of our desserts which included heating up individual butter cakes that came all the way from DC and serving them with a scoop of ice cream and raspberry sauce. Exceptional food, exceptional service, and just overall incredible team!

From the moment we met Chef Wes at the OBX Wedding Expo, we knew Red Sky was something special. His energy and passion were undeniable, and once we tasted the food, our search for the perfect caterer was over. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared.

Chef Wes went above and beyond throughout the process, even surprising us by personally showing up to our tasting. His guidance in curating the menu was both professional and personal, making the entire experience seamless and genuinely fun, especially while planning from across the country.

On our wedding day, the Red Sky team exceeded every expectation. Their hospitality and service were flawless, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about the food. During sunset photos, they surprised us with a charcuterie of our hors d’oeuvres (such an unforgettable touch!), and the beignets were an absolute hit. Red Sky didn’t just provide a meal, they created an experience we’ll never forget.

Booking Red Sky was one of the best decisions we made throughout our wedding planning process. We instantly connected with Chef Wes over lunch at Red Sky Cafe when visiting OBX to look at venues for our destination wedding. We were SO grateful to have made that connection. Months later, we brought my parents down for a tasting. They were highly impressed, not only with the taste of the food, but with the gorgeous presentation as well. We loved the customizable package options and that they offered bar service as well. On the day of our wedding, and still, months after, our friends and family rave at the caliber of the food and drinks. We are so glad we went with the family style boards. They provided our people with the most unique dining experience while connecting with other guests. We have so much gratitude for the entire Red Sky Team, and for Alexis, who was consistently communicative throughout the entire planning process from afar. We cannot wait to go back to the cafe and NC Coast on our next visit to OBX!

Red Sky is amazing. The food is great and the staff are even better. We used them for 3 events during our week long wedding celebration and all our guests commented on the great food and super friendly staff. Shout out to Alexis for always being available and helpful as we coordinated all of our events. Also, to Nikki for being so attentive to our guests. Would highly recommend chef dinner in beach home, was a nice way to end our week.

Red Sky completely blew my mind for my wedding! All of the staff were so sweet and kind, and the food was to die for. We are still getting compliments and highly recommend the artichoke puffs, spring rolls, and alfredo pasta! To top it off, Alexis was so extremely prompt in her communication and our tasting was A BLAST! Highly highly recommend

Choosing Red Sky Catering was hands-down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Food was a top priority for us, especially with one of our guests being a professional chef and everyone else being serious food lovers—and Red Sky absolutely delivered.

From the beautifully presented cocktail hour passed items to the incredible plated dinner, every bite was delicious. Our guests could not stop raving about the food! The portions were generous, and everything came out hot and fresh thanks to their impressive portable kitchen setup.
