I Do OBX Weddings and Events

We used every service I Do OBX provides for our destination wedding in Corolla. This included officiating, coordination, DJ, florals, lighting, equipment/decor rental (both ceremony & reception), and videography. When beginning to pick vendors, it seemed like a daunting task as we were unfamiliar with the vendors in the area. After meeting the owners Tony & Mary at the OBX Wedding Expo & seeing their work, it made the decision easy. It was so clear how kind & passionate they were about what they do, as well as how much experience they had. They were both so helpful during the entire planning process, and were able to offer so many recommendations & advice. They had done many weddings at our venue alone and knew exactly what would work best.

We received so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful and personal our ceremony was. Tony went above and beyond to get to know my husband and me before the wedding. It was very clear Tony had been officiating for a long time, as he thought of everything. He stepped out of the way for photos for not only our first kiss, but also sand ceremony & vows. He had my husband and I switch sides according to the way the wind was blowing so my veil & hair weren't in my face. He added his own personal touches to the 'standard" ceremony'. I had never seen an officiant be as detail-oriented as Tony.

Shirley was our month-of coordinator and she was the BEST. Her and Mary answered my countless questions and had many meetings with me to discuss every last detail leading up to the wedding. She handled EVERYTHING, from reaching out to vendors prior to that day to finalize the timeline, setting up the space with the team SO perfectly, instructing our 21-person bridal party with EASE, and so so much more. She truly made our day stress-free and so smooth. She's a PRO.

Alec was our DJ and everyone LOVED him! Alec knew we wanted our wedding to be a big dance party and he did not disappoint. We had 70 people at our wedding and when I tell you everyone was on the dance floor all night, I mean it! Alec was so fun & involved--he even jumped in the pool with us at the end of the night :) Music is arguably one of the most important parts of a wedding and we would hire Alec over and over again.

Videography was something we had been on the fence about in the early stages of planning our wedding, but after just seeing our teaser alone--WOW we could not be happier. This crew is TALENTED and made it so worth it! They were so enjoyable to work with and made us feel so comfortable throughout the day. They took my inspo & vision and made it even better than I could have asked for. From the drone shots to the music choice, they nailed it all. We are so thankful that they have allowed us to re-live our day over and over again so perfectly.

Our venue was an event home in Corolla and the I Do OBX team florals, lighting, and equipment/decor rentals completely transformed this space into an absolutely dream. The florals were exactly what I wanted. They listened to what I asked for and ran with it--they truly have the magic touch. The lighting was so beautifully designed and made the space feel so cozy & well-lit. It was a must-have. This team is extremely familiar with these venues and they know just how to elevate these spaces in the most incredible and creative ways.
I could go on and on about how much I love this team but I will end with saying that you will not regret booking I Do OBX for your wedding. Each individual service will blow you away but seeing them ALL work together was just absolutely magical. Thank you all for making our dream wedding a reality!

Tony and Mary were the best! They were super knowledge, helpful, patient, and able to create our perfect wedding! They were flexible both in the leadup to the event (planning, preparation, and setup/decorations) and flexible on the day of the wedding (weather was a factor for a little bit). They were accommodating both as far as what our family needed but also flexible in allowing us to have our dog (Dexter) on the property. Having Tony as the officiant was super helpful. He met with us to create the wedding we hoped for. He also was super helpful with getting the perfect pictures on the wedding day. We are out of state (Pennsylvania) and communicating and planning with them was very easy. They bent over backwards to help us make our day magical. Diamond on the Sound was beautiful and we highly highly recommend I Do OBX and Diamond on the Sound for anyone looking for a magical OBX wedding.

I would recommend I do OBX over and over again! From start to finish, they were absolutely amazing. So great to work with, so professional, and they really made us feel special. Everything came together so beautifully and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I walked to the end of that beach access. It was honestly everything we could’ve dreamed of and more! And Tony was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed working with him so much. He made our ceremony wonderful. Our photos were wonderful as well. Kaylee was amazing!

We had Tony officiate our small ceremony in Corolla! From start to finish I do obx made everything a breeze! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone! They took the time to make the ceremony intimate and personal, all of our family was very impressed! All staff involved was very friendly and professional! Great job!

They were incredibly helpful throughout the planning process and helped me choose the perfect lighting, florals, arbor, and other décor details for our special day. I won't be able to put into words how amazing Tony and Mary were in helping us prepare for my daughter's destination wedding and providing an absolutely picture perfect experience. As the mother of the bride who assisted in some of the wedding planning, in the months prior to the wedding and right up to the final moments of getting everything just right, Mary felt like my best friend. They listened to our vision and ideas and made everything a reality, but actually it was even better than I could have imagined.

We originally had someone else to officiate the wedding, but we had some late changes to that plan, and asked Tony to be the officiant. He was available and more than willing to do so. As I understand, he really took the time to get to know who Anna and Nathan were as people, a couple & family. And it showed in the ceremony. I expected a boiler plate ceremony for a destination wedding by an afficient on location, but it was nothing of the sort. Just like Mary felt like my best friend, it felt like Tony had known the couple all their lives.

The beach location was idyllic. But only because of the detail to attention that Tony gave to this event. I could not believe how beautiful the flowers were. And the details like the sound system, chair set up, wood plank aisle runner, sand ceremony table, etc I didn't even give a thought to because I didn't have to. I just got to take it in and enjoy the moment. Everything was perfect.

Choosing Tony and his team was the right decision with absolutely no regrets.

The value was more then we could have asked for, and we truly never felt stressed knowing that at all times their Team had it all under control. Kendal and I wanted a simple, private ceremony with just the two of us, the sound of the waves, and a moment we would never forget. Tony made that vision come to life perfectly. He created a ceremony that was meaningful, intimate, and unforgettable.

We also want to thank Carrie Roen for being our photographer—she captured everything so beautifully. It was such a special touch to have both Carrie and Tony share a quick toast of limoncello with us before the ceremony, making the moment even more memorable and fun.
