Wedding Hair & Makeup in Outer Banks

I worked with Taylor as my makeup artist for my wedding and she was absolutely spectacular. I felt beautiful, and her attention to detail and willingness to fix things if I didn't like them or wanted to change was absolutely wonderful and she was a complete joy to work with. Wedding makeup starts first thing in the morning and she was there with a smile on her face exactly when she said she'd be before 6:00 in the morning, and she kept up that positive attitude and Good vibes with me and on my bridesmaids while we got ready all day. I could not say enough wonderful things about her and I would absolutely work with her again.

Jenn was fantastic with my makeup! I didn’t have the best experience there with my hair, but Jenn made up for that by taking care of our makeup with professionalism and kindness! I felt beautiful on my wedding day! Highly recommend makeup at this location!

The Glimmer team was amazing to work with! Email responses were quick and informative. The day of my wedding, I got to work with both Livy and Caitie. They were absolutely amazing!!! They took their time, stayed on schedule, had the best girl talk, shared stories and made me and my wedding party look absolutely gorgeous!!! I HIGHLY recommend Glimmer for all your wedding day hair and makeup needs!!

Caity & Blair are amazing! I talked with Caity more, she was reliable & worked around schedules to get me in for a trial before my wedding! I had multiple bridesmaids, that looked GORGEOUS! They are fast and efficient. Great vibes, & I would recommend them both to anyone!

Kelly helped me feel like the best version of myself and not overly done, not made into someone different, just me… but glowing. That meant so much, especially on a day filled with so many emotions. And she gave our moms their moment, too. Watching them get pampered and feel beautiful was something we’ll always remember. They were so happy, and it showed in every photo and every smile that day. Her warmth, calm presence, and your genuine care made the morning feel easy and joyful. We’re so grateful for having her by our side on our special day!

Ava & Casey were both excellent! Myself and everyone in my wedding party were so happy with both our hair and make-up, we couldn’t have asked for better!

Ashley did an absolutely phenomenal job. My hair was much more than I ask for & my bridesmaid looked wonderful! Her work is worth every penny!

Lauren was amazing! I’ve seen numerous pictures of other MUA’s work, & I’ve also had my makeup done professionally numerous times in the past. I knew the moment I saw her work that she HAD to be my MUA for my big day & thank goodness she was available. I felt more beautiful than I ever have before & I got so many compliments on how beautiful I looked. She also did my mother’s makeup. My mom was so happy & excited. She’s never had her makeup professionally done & she felt beautiful. She also loved Lauren & her personality. If you want to look beautiful & flawless, not cakey & fake, you MUST book Lauren. Airbrush makeup is where it’s at & Lauren is the one to do it!

Kimberly Parks, the owner, was the hair stylist for our daughters' wedding. She did the hair for bride, 6 bridesmaids, MOB and GMOB. She also did the makeup for the bride. She arrived promptly at 9am, with coffee and cute little cupcakes and an arsenal of equipment and she was finished by about 12:30pm. Kimberly is a very experienced and talented stylist. She took her time with all of us and made us all beautiful and ensured that our hair could withstand the OBX breeze! I would highly recommend her services!
