He was able to modify anything we requested to perfectly suit our preferences, ensuring the menu was exactly what we wanted. One standout was the bruschetta trio—and the shrimp bruschetta was absolutely incredible! I’m still dreaming about it. The entire tasting set the tone for what turned out to be the best wedding food we could have ever imagined.

The food at our wedding was beyond amazing—literally the best wedding food ever. The hors d'oeuvres were to die for, and the raw bar was a must-have that elevated the entire evening to another level. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about the hushpuppies, which were a huge hit and had people raving for days after the wedding! Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, making our wedding meal unforgettable.

But what truly set Steamers apart was the service. Cassidy, her husband (who was our bartender), and the entire team provided some of the best service we have ever received. Having been in the service industry for over ten years, I was absolutely blown away by the professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail they brought to the event. They were attentive, efficient, and made every guest feel special, ensuring everything ran smoothly throughout the night. We are unbelievably grateful to them all—working with them was one of the true highlights of our wedding.

We hired Steamers catering for our wedding and they were fantastic to work with. Cassidy made it a point to have regular check-ins with me prior to the event, which a made for a seamless execution. The staff were amazing and they did a beautiful job setting up and managing the buffet service. On top of it all, the food was also delicious. I would highly recommend them.

Everything was amazing, and Cassidy/Chris were so attentive and patient with us throughout the entire process - from initial discussions, to tastings, and of course the big day - Everything was impeccable and delicious!

The food from Steamer’s was absolutely unbelievable, and our guests are still talking about it. The wait staff was fantastic, and the bartenders went above and beyond—always keeping an eye out for us and having our drinks ready before we even reached the bar. Cassidy, the Catering Sales Manager, was incredibly knowledgeable, accommodating, and communicative, even as we made several menu changes along the way. We used Steamer’s for four days of events and truly could not have been happier with our decision.

We cannot say enough amazing things about Cassidy, Chef Chris & the ENTIRE Steamers team. From our initial call with Cassidy she made us feel so comfortable. She walked us through the menu more times than we can count, hosted us for TWO tastings and eased all my worries when we had a few last minute cancellations and changes. They understood and accommodated ALL of our guests allergies and food restrictions. The Steamers team even went out of their way to offer non-alcoholic toast options for our guests. The presentation of the food was BREATHTAKING, every bite was divine. Our guests are still raving about the food, and we had countless people tell us this was the best food they had at a wedding (we had a lot of picky eaters so this is a very high compliment). You can tell that the Steamers leadership team treats their employees well and that shines through in their service. We would recommend Steamers to anyone who is looking for the best catering team in OBX.

In my job, I have used dozens of caterers over the past 30+ years. Steamers out performed every caterer I have ever used. They were professional, cheerful, helpful and my guests are still talking about the delicious food. I would hire them again and I will be enjoying the restaurant as well.

My main concern when I dreamed about my wedding day, from someone who came from a very culinary-focused family, was always the food. I needed the food to be out of this world. I wanted my guests to talk about the best meal they ever had at a wedding for years to come. I truly believe Steamers made that happen for us. The menu selection was huge, with tons of variety to choose from, and Cassidy and the team at Steamers made it easy to customize it exactly to our specifications. The food itself was to die for – perfectly cooked fish, creamy rich sauces, crisp fresh salads – not a single dish was lacking in flavor, freshness or presentation. The staff was incredibly skilled as well – they served our guests family style at the table, describing the dishes as they came out and answering guest’s questions. They pointed guests to dishes that worked with their dietary restrictions and even prepared separate allergy meals for individual guests with more serious food concerns. How the bartender kept up with our huge, very thirsty family we have no idea – but they did so without there ever being a line or even a brief wait for drinks. Absolutely incredible down to every detail. Thank you Steamers – your food and your 5-star skills and service made our wedding day a literal dream come true! PS, my 11-year-old nephew would like you to know that “I’ve never said this before…but that mac and cheese was even better than Kraft!”.
