The backstory - our destination wedding got cancelled twice due to COVID and on a whim, 6 weeks out from the date, we decided to book a house in OBX and throw a wedding. By luck of the Instagram algorithm I had been following Coastyle Events for some time and when we booked the house I knew our day wouldn’t be perfect without them. I was super lucky that they agreed to squeeze us onto their calendar for month of services. Samantha and Taylor’s guidance pointed us in the right direction to secure all of our vendors last minute and their recommendations were spot on. They handled all of the final communication and little details that you just don’t want to be thinking about on the day of your wedding like should we bump that table 4 feet to the left or are we sure all the place settings are complete? They handled the hiccups we knew about like having the wrong rum in the signature drink or someone getting a cut and needing a bandaid - to all the ones we didn’t know even happened. We had a friend tell us weeks after the fact that these ladies helped them sew up a hole in their dress the day of the wedding! They were discreetly making sure everything was perfect and with their help, it truly was. Beyond them being awesome at their jobs every call or conversation I had with them was wonderful. They are so kind, responsive and thoughtful! I’m the type of person who thinks I can do everything myself but for your own wedding you shouldn’t have to! You should hire Samantha and Taylor to take care of it all and enjoy the experience. You will not regret it!

Samantha & Taylor were INCREDIBLE. From the very first phone call we had with them, we knew we wanted them as our wedding planners. They were so personable, seemed genuinely interested in us as a couple and were so open to every single idea we had. They were also really helpful with making realistic decisions to try to stay within our budget. We rented a home in The Outer Banks, NC for a week and had to bring in everything for our wedding day from lighting, to silverware, to a canoe and an ice trailer for an oyster station. I can honestly say that planning all of it was not stressful at all because of them. They had organized and facilitated so many details before I even had to ask. Any questions we did have along the way, any specific request for a vendor, generic questions that guests had, they were able to assist so quickly. I do not have a single negative thing to say and we worked with them for almost 18 months planning our wedding! They are professional, creative, brilliant at what they do AND so much fun to work with. We will miss working with them and cannot recommend them enough!

We worked with Taylor and Samantha for over a year, and we truly cannot imagine our wedding without them. They are the absolute dream team! Even though we were getting married on the Cape, they were hands-on and supportive throughout the entire process—joining us for venue tours, attending our tasting, and always being just a quick message or phone call away. As a career Event Planner, I knew the first step to achieving the wedding day of my dreams was to hire the right team of vendors – most importantly, a Wedding Planner that I could trust. After I got engaged, I immediately hired Coastyle to provide Month of Management, which was both the easiest and most helpful decision I made. Samantha and Taylor are absolutely a DREAM team!!! I booked them for month of coordination because I am local to the Outer Banks and my only regret of my entire wedding is that I did not book them for full service. They kept in touch with me from the beginning and offered their opinion on vendors and even found us the best DJ/Band EVER. Hiring Coastyle for our Corolla wedding in September 2024 was the absolute best decision we could've made. They helped us craft an incredible ceremony at The Whalehead Club and reception at The Black Stallion. While we knew planning our wedding from across the country would be tough (we live in Seattle, WA but are from VA), Samantha & Taylor helped make the planning process so seamless. We were only able to have 2 on-site, in-person visits throughout the 9 months of planning, and Coastyle expertly crafted 2 jam-packed but manageable itineraries to cross as many things off the list as possible in the time we had together.

As a bride with a dream of a fun and beautiful wedding filled with our family and friends, I didn't have an exact vision of how to bring it together, which is where Coastyle's expertise and knowledge was crucial. As someone who loves Corolla but was unfamiliar with all the wedding vendor options, I was so grateful to Coastyle for curating a short list of recommended vendors and providing their input and guidance as we worked through decision making. They helped us build a beautiful wedding and worked miracles to make a few things happen that we originally were told were not possible.

While we knew during the 9 month planning process that we made the right decision in hiring Coastyle, my expectations were absolutely blown away in how flawlessly they executed the actual wedding day. Having a wedding in Corolla over Labor Day weekend was an ambitious idea with the expectation of unpredictable late-summer weather. We put together backup options for all our outdoor elements of the wedding so as we watched the ever-changing weather forecast on the day of the wedding, I felt completely comfortable turning over all decision making, vendor communication, guest communication, etc. to Samantha & Taylor and I truly was blissfully floating through the day with zero stress or worries. I likely cannot fully conceptualize the impact Samantha & Taylor had because there was so much that happened behind the scenes that I was completely unaware of, and that was the ultimate gift! I will be forever grateful to Samanta & Taylor for giving us an incredible, stress-free and beautiful wedding day. Not to mention, it was the most fun day of our lives!

I can’t say enough good things about Samantha and Taylor! I truly couldn’t have asked for better wedding planners. We came into the wedding process unsure of what we wanted, and they gave us all of the options while also providing their recommendations on what they thought would be best. Not only did we fully trust that they were on top of everything, we also fully trusted their recommendations – it was so nice to have wedding planners with such great taste! We got married at an event home, so it required a little more attention to detail since it wasn’t a traditional venue, but Samantha and Taylor were pros and knew exactly what to do and what we needed!

When our wedding week came, we realized that we would be battling wind/rain on our wedding day. Samantha and Taylor so kindly offered to come to the event home a few days before to walk us through all of the options for the ceremony and made sure we felt comfortable with our rain plan. As it turned out, it did end up raining, but we didn’t have to worry about the weather (or anything!) on our wedding day. They made sure everything was taken care of, from directing guests to the right place and providing umbrellas for them, to making sure the sides of our tents were down, and all of the food, décor, and even guests were safe from getting wet. They also handled all of the correspondence with the vendors and organized the set up and take-down of everything so we could just fully enjoy our day, which was priceless! Samantha and Taylor made the wedding planning process seem easy and made our wedding day everything we hoped for! I would recommend them to anybody getting married – you won’t regret going with Coastyle!
