Selecting The Finer Points Coastal to be the wedding planner for our daughter’s April 30, 2022 Whalehead Club wedding was by far the best decision we made. A wedding planner is the foundation on which all other wedding decisions are made, and Laura and Victoria were simply amazing to work with. They were meticulous throughout the entire process and brought to life a vision that our daughter and her husband had only previously dreamed about. Their ability to ask the right questions and to understand the concept of what we were trying to accomplish and then turn it into reality created a magical experience that none of us will ever forget. Laura and Victoria exhibit a unique passion for their craft and an enthusiasm that is a rare combination to find. It is clear how much pride they take in their work. Their love of the Outer Banks and experience with the area was apparent and helped make us feel at ease throughout the process. Their communication skills, organization, preparation, follow-up, and execution all receive 5+ stars! They are experts in wedding etiquette and think of every detail which is especially important when planning for a venue such as the Whalehead Club. Our 170 guests could not stop complimenting us on the ceremony, décor, layout, and cocktail hour/reception and we owe this to the vision shown by Laura and Victoria. Our officiant, who has presided over more than 200 weddings, told us that this was the most special and unique wedding he had ever attended.
And possibly the best part of the experience is that Laura and Victoria have become a part of our family in the process, and we will forever be grateful for them making this day so special for all of us. Of all the decisions we made while planning the wedding, using The Finer Points was absolutely one of the very best ones we made. Lynn Iannizzi is a consummate professional who knows the area, the vendors, the "must haves" and the "not necessary" parts of a beautiful wedding/event. All the vendors she recommended were phenomenal, her preparation and time lines were impeccable. We ran into a potentially serious venue issue about 6 weeks prior to the wedding and within 24 hours we had 3 viable alternate options which alleviated a tremendous amount of stress. The day of the wedding we had nothing worry about, Lynn and her team took care of everything. I cannot recommend The Finer Points enough!

I’m not even sure where to begin… Laura and her team at The Finer Points Coastal truly felt like working with Fairy Godmothers: Wedding Edition. From the very first initial phone call I felt like I had fallen into the lap of luxury. Laura felt like an aunt I hadn’t met before - she truly listened and heard me. We chatted for 45 minutes the first time and I didn’t want the call to end! Every single detail of my wedding weekend went off without a hitch and I know it’s because I hired The Finer Points Coastal. When planning a wedding you know things will go awry on the day of that’s just how things go - but with Laura and her team I didn’t know of any hiccups. I genuinely got to enjoy my entire wedding weekend knowing that Laura & her team had everything covered. From the speciality menu at the welcome party, to the very precise and personal grand entrance for our wedding reception, Laura and her team were there every single step of the way. I could continue this review to be the length of a novel saying how much I loved working with The Finer Points Coastal, but do yourself a favor and hire them. You will absolutely, 1,000% not regret it. Finding this genuine dream team was the ultimate game changer in my wedding planning process! Laura and Victoria are an incredible team!!! Their work with us, the venue representatives, the vendors, etc... was always seamless and their work together incredibly finely tuned. In addition to helping us realize our party dreams, they made us aware of things we hadn't considered, ensuring we did not miss any opportunities! We cannot imagine how our event would have happened without them and are grateful for this opportunity to give them the highest possible recommendation!!!

Victoria and Laura were absolutely phenomenal! I knew we were in good hands from our consult call, and trusted them with my vision immediately. They have such trusted and cherished relationships with vendors all up and down the banks, making us feel like VIP clients from day 1! They lined up vendor meetings, catering tastings, document/permits, etc. They offered suggestions and tips from their years of experience, helping us save time and money. We felt heard and supported every step of the way. They handled all the last-minute changes that inevitably popped up, accommodated our week-of requests, and made the entire wedding day go off without a hitch. We had such a stress-free wedding weekend, knowing that Victoria and Laura had it handled. I cannot recommend The Finer Points Coastal enough. Book them if you want an enthusiastic and passionate team to make sure your big day is everything you have dreamed of!

Where to begin...
From our first phone conversation with Laura and Victoria, my daughter and I knew we were in the right hands ! Planning a wedding from two different states, in two different time zones, and in a third location can be challenging - If you don't have the right team of professionals to handle each and every detail. That is exactly what Laura and Victoria did for us.

My daughter had a dream and vision in mind, to be married at the Corolla Chapel and to have her reception at the Historic Whalehead Club, and these two ladies executed everything precisely as she had imagined! They arranged meetings with the staff at the Historic Whalehead Club, multiple vendors for each category for us to choose from, scheduled tastings with various caterers, and were on hand to help us every step of the way. We flew into town to meet with them many times, and each visit was well choreographed to insure that we were able to meet, view, arrange, taste, listen, and finalize each decision as it needed to be made.

After all the month's of prelim's are handled, fast forward, and you wake up and it's GO DAY - They had a detailed timeline (which we diligently fine tuned with them!) for the entire day... Every vendor, contractor, and added staff knew exactly where and what they needed to be doing throughout the process. They were on call and in total communication from sun up till hours after the reception had ended ( and even the next day!) My daughter and her new husband were treated like royalty by everyone on their staff, and by all who provided services that day! There were no details left to chance - and anything we thought of was either already handled- or met with a "no problem" - "we can do that" - "great idea" - They had our backs 100% - and we never gave anything a second thought!

In closing- this magical and glorious event could not have been pulled off with out Laura and Victoria... They made the entire, fabulous day look and feel seamless and easy. We had many, many friends and family stop and compliment us on how amazing and perfect the whole day and evening turned out! From ceremony to cocktail hour, sit down dinner to reception and dancing - they made everything so special for our entire family and all our friends who had traveled from far away to celebrate our daughter and son in love!

Hiring these two ladies was the first and most important part of making this one of the most memorable days for our daughter, and we would not have changed a single thing! We got married in Corolla, NC in April 2022 and we can honestly say that there is no way our wedding would have been such as success if not for the Finer Points. Laura and Tori were incredible throughout the entire process and took out so much of the stress of wedding planning. Their communication in emails, zoom calls, and in-person was outstanding. I never felt like any question I had was too big or too small and they were always quick to respond with advice.
As someone who’s strong suit is not in design, I was initially worried about choosing things like color palettes and decorations myself. However, working with Laura and Tori allowed the visions of my perfect wedding to come to life. It was incredible how they were able to put together exactly what we wanted from just a few pictures and ideas. The reception turned out even more beautiful than we could have imagined and perfectly represented us as a couple. The day-of coordinating was also very impressive, Laura and Tori truly went above and beyond to make sure we and our guests had the best day possible. They had the schedule of events planned to the minute and it made the entire day so much less stressful. Personally, Laura and Tori’s enthusiasm and passion for our wedding was apparent in everything they did. By wedding day, it honestly felt like we had known them for years and they became like family. We could feel their excitement for us and that made the day even more special. We have nothing but praise for The Finer Points Coastal and highly recommend them for your wedding!

The Finer Points Coastal is the best! If I could give them more than 5 stars I would! We selected their Full Planning Package and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Laura and Victoria were incredible partners to work with throughout the entire wedding process. We cannot say enough great things about Laura and Victoria with Finer Points Coastal. We had our wedding at an event home and we originally reached out to destress the prospect of having 60 people at a home and dealing with setup, vendors, etc. We didn't expect to get SO much more. From the moment we met them, they blew us away. They really got to know us and understood what we wanted, which was an outdoor rustic wedding with our closest family and friends. They helped with catering, met with the florist and managed the tent. I was amazed every time I went to a meeting with them because they were totally in control, which meant I did not have to be. They sent us tons of pictures and ideas whenever they saw something they thought we might like. For the day of, they were everywhere. From looking for sprinkler heads with the tent people to stringing lights in the trees and sweeping the patio, to ensuring linens and centerpieces were perfect to making sure every last candle was where it was supposed to be. They were WONDERFUL. They even captured pictures and videos that everyone else missed. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and everything we hoped for. There is no way it would have been the same without them. They did everything possible to remove our stress so we could enjoy every moment. Hiring the Finer Points Coastal was absolutely the best decision we made in our wedding planning and I highly recommend them.

Having a planner/coordinator for your wedding is an absolute must! Laura Billak with the Finer Points Coastal was our saving grace throughout the entire process. They were the first vendor we booked after we secured our venue - and we found them because of the venue's high recommendation for them. Now we know why! Laura knows the wedding industry inside and out. She was there through every step of the way and made sure that we stayed on schedule with our planning and organization leading up to the big day. She was always available to speak to me - exchanging emails, texts, and calls at any time I needed her. Laura understood our wedding vision perfectly and brought it to life (and better than we imagined) for the best day of our lives! Everything ran incredibly smoothly, without a hitch, and we were able to truly enjoy our day. We could not have asked for any better!
