You know how everyone always says "nobody remembers the food at weddings"? That was not the case with Cannon Catering. Everyone remembered the food at our wedding. Our guests talked about how great the food was well after the wedding day. Just thinking about their mushroom puffs, mashed potatoes and chicken, I can taste it. Cannon was fantastic. Letting us do drop-and-chill with our beer/wine was a game changer. They had a big plate of food waiting for us at our table and were on top of it when it came to drinks. Not only that but their people were fantastic. Everybody loved the bartender. He was a fan favorite. We heard over and over again how much fun he was, how he got into conversations with guests. Canon made our day so special. Highly highly highly recommend.

Cannon Catering did a fantastic job with our wedding meal, which was served as a buffet. The food was absolutely delicious, and we received so many compliments from our guests on everything. They were also very accommodating, even making special arrangements for a guest with an onion allergy, which we really appreciated. From the beginning, they responded quickly and had super clear pricing. We wanted a gluten free dinner (for celiac) and they were knowledgable and reassuring that it would be easy to pick GF options from their menu or make a few small swaps. The tasting was super fun and we felt like we had lots of good entree and appetizer options. During the tasting, staff were helpful, kind, and never trying to upsell or add services. They worked to understand our audience and vision for the event and lend their expertise.

The week of the wedding we used their alcohol drop service to hand off and chill down the beer and wine. This was the best service we didn't realize we needed when we started planning. The drop off saved us from moving around lots of heavy cases the day of and ensured things were ready to go for dinner!

At the event, we had a bartender from Cannon who was absolutely the sweetest. Many of our guests commented on her incredible service. We had a plated dinner late in the evening that Cannon served flawlessly -- keeping the pace of things rolling. We had a few vegan/vegetarian guests and they were served separate meals without any hassle. It felt like the team really listened to everything we wanted and made pro decisions regarding everything we didn't care about, freeing us from worry!

We couldn’t be happier with Cannon Catering and the role they played in making our wedding day so special! We chose to serve heavy hors d’oeuvres instead of a full meal, and Cannon nailed it. They even provided passed hors d’oeuvres, which gave the reception the social, casual party vibe we were going for. Our guests loved the taste of the food, and the mix of options ensured there was something for everyone.

Pre-wedding planning was a breeze. We especially loved the tasting meeting—it was so fun to sample the delicious options, and there were plenty of choices to suit both of our tastes. Everything was very reasonably priced, and their flexibility and professionalism made us feel confident we were in good hands. Some of our favorites were the strawberry lemonade, spinach & feta spanakopita, Texas BBQ pulled pork sliders, shrimp & grits shooters, chicken and waffles, and mashed potatoes with French garlic farmhouse chicken bites. They made everything so easy!

One of the best parts was their ‘drop and chill’ service, which allowed us to bring our own alcohol a few days before the wedding. They provided our bartender and cups, which kept beer cans out of our photos—something we hadn’t even thought about but were so thankful for! Cannon also handled everything for the cake and provided all the staff we needed to keep things running smoothly. They even cleaned up quickly and efficiently at the end of the night.

The Cannon team was amazing from the very first interaction, all the way through the wedding. The team is on top of it with communication, transparency and the FOOD is AMAZING. Our guests are still talking about it more than a week later. Seriously- it was that GOOD. We reviewed/tasted more than 12 catering companies in the Raleigh area, and these guys have it down. Again, communication, transparency, and the FOOD, all beyond expectations. They are also extremely reasonably priced, compared to some of the other companies in RTP and surrounding areas. My husband and I are foodies, and this aspect of the wedding was extremely important to us and for our guests, and we could not have asked for anything better. Cannon was so wonderful to work with! We had them cater our wedding, and they were very communicative leading up to the day, and on the day of, they were professional and very attentive. They brought our wedding party a plate of hors d'oeuvres while we were doing photos during cocktail hour, and brought my husband and I a plate of food as soon as the buffet line opened up at dinner. My husband and I also really liked that they’re a smaller, family-based business.
