Wedding Photography in Raleigh

Jeff at J.Darren Photography captured our wedding day beautifully. We had a non-traditional venue and event flow, but Jeff understood the vision right away and was able to jump in and capture every little moment of the wedding. His use of light and ability to capture people’s personalities is fantastic. When we look back at the photos of our wedding we feel like we’re right back in the moment. We would highly recommend J.Darren Photography if you want images that capture the feeling of your big day!

We had Kristin shoot our wedding. She did a fantastic job! We had a small ceremony at a local place (Carriage House in Chapel Hill). Kristin was patient with our group and the schizophrenic weather. Because of the weather (tropical storm Nicole coming through that day producing light rain on and off for an outdoor wedding) my wife told me on the way home tat we were going to have to retake everything because she wouldn’t have her pictures in which she looked like a “drowned rat.” Kristin told her to be patient and everything would be fine. Lo and behold, Kristin was right and all the pictures were fantastic! Our favorite ones are some of her candids she caught. She is professional and personable. I think she’s be perfect for calm brides as well as the nervous type. Highly recommend and will use her again!

While we are 4 years late, as we're looking back on our photos today, it felt like a good time to finally write the review we've been procrastinating on. (Sorry!) Tracy is the best person you could have assigned to the photographer slot on your wedding checklist in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area. From the moment we first met her, she started taking notes on what was important for us on our wedding, and she captured everything we could have asked for and more. A big part of our wedding was the fact that we chose to get married on a farm whose owner specializes in growing beautiful flowers. This farmer's flowers had been a hallmark of our relationship and Tracy knew that capturing this part of our wedding was not only important to us, but something we wanted to remember for the rest of our lives. She's very easygoing, and helped keep the environment relaxed and fun throughout the day. She was also very good at getting the group photos that you would want from a wedding photographer, while not taking away from the excitement of the day. Once the group photos were done, she then seamlessly transitioned into the reception and captured more genuine and candid moments than we could have hoped for. She is great, you should hire her.

Griffin was absolutely amazing as our wedding photographer! He was so flexible when our timeline ran behind, making sure everything flowed smoothly. He also went above and beyond to make sure our pup (and ring bearer!) was picture-perfect in every shot. Griffin captured all of the moments we requested and seamlessly blended into the background the rest of the time, giving us space to enjoy our day. The photos we’ve received are stunning, and we’re so grateful for his talent and professionalism.

I could not have asked for more stunning photos. I found love exists at a wedding convention and got a prize from them there! I feel so blessed to have won. They captured the day perfectly. :)

Hannah and Matt are phenomenal! They did our engagement photos, another couple's session, and most recently our wedding; as a wedding planner, I've also worked a wedding with them. We are obsessed with their work, their ability to make everyone comfortable in front of the camera, and their professionalism. They helped keep us calm and happy when hiccups happened on our wedding day, and we will continue to use them for other life events. Highly recommend if you're looking for an incredible photo/video team!

There's so much to discuss when it comes to what qualities you want when you hire a photographer. Great photos, flexibility, communication, professionalism, and so on. Jesse exceeded EVERY expectation we had! I was floored at how much she had every aspect of business and photography skill on display. Every moment was magical, and the subtle recognition of her experience was so evident to me! I will ABSOLUTELY hire her again and again and again for every event and occasion I can! She went above and beyond to make every part of the process and the day feel truly special, and way beyond her costs! I cannot recommend her enough!!

Breanna was wonderful taking pictures of my family. She worked well with my 10 month old son. We got our beautiful pictures within a couple of hours! Would definitely recommend!
